Chapter 77
Scarlett took a glance at Raymond, and she quickly withdrew her gaze. She passed Raymond and walked away. Raymond didn't sleep well last night. Scarlett's sarcasm still bothered him.
He stood there and watched Scarlett walking away. The look on his face was awful.
After a while, after seeing Scarlett enter the elevator, he withdrew his eyes and glanced inside the private room.
At that moment, Ethen came out of the room.
Seeing Raymond, Ethen was stunned. "Mr. Shaw?"
Raymond nodded his head, showing no interest in talking to him. He headed straight to the private room.
Ethen opened his mouth and was about to say something. But before he spoke, Raymond already walked away.
Before Raymond entered the room, he stopped abruptly. He looked back at Frank who was following him, "What is Ethen doing contacting her?"
Frank obviously knew exactly who Raymond was referring to as "her".
But Frank really didn't know why Scarlett was having lunch with Ethen. "I... I don't know."
Raymond frowned. He glanced at Frank unsatisfactorily. "Check it out." Frank responded, "Yes, sir."
Raymond didn't say anything else. He walked straight into the room.
Scarlett walked out of the hotel with a pair of sunglasses on her face. Her car was parked in the open parking lot in front of the hotel.
She pulled open the car door. Katherine, who was following her, looked at her as if she wanted to say something.
Scarlett took off her sunglasses and smiled at Katherine, "Are you worried that Raymond will investigate me?" Katherine nodded, "We probably can't hide it if he has someone investigate this matter."
Scarlett raised her eyebrows, "Don't worry, he won't look into it."
Then she put her sunglasses back on and got in the car, "You have had a long day. I'm going home."
Katherine stepped aside and watched Scarlett's red car drive further away until it disappeared.
She compressed her lips and glanced back at the hotel. Somehow, Katherine had a bad feeling.
In the private room at noon, they had ordered a lot of dishes, but before the food was served, Scarlett and Ethen split over the acquisition issue. They had to find a random fast food restaurant and feed their stomach.
Actually, Katherine's worry was totally unnecessary. Earlier, Scarlett didn't hide her assets deliberately. She even tried to find an opportunity to inform Raymond of her assets.
As long as Raymond wanted to know about it, he could ask Frank to investigate it, and then he would know.
Now that they were divorced, Scarlett didn't think Raymond would bother looking into her.
Scarlett thought she knew Raymond well, however, she didn't know she was wrong this time.
She had just gotten up from her nap, and Katherine called. The secretary told her that Frank had called her to ask about Ethen, and of course, he asked more about Scarlett. Scarlett tilted up her head and looked at the warm sunlight outside the window. She raised a hand to rub her temple to clear her head a little more. "Don't tell him yet." "Okay, Ms. Reed." Just after she hung up the phone, the doorbell suddenly rang.
Scarlett raised her eyebrows. She got up and walked out to the balcony to have a look. It was the delivery guy.
But she hadn't bought anything online recently.
The doorbell rang once again. She had to go downstairs to get the delivery.
Just after she had signed for the parcel, before she opened it, Alexis called.
"Lettie! Have you got the package? Hurry up! Change into the fabulous gown I got for you!"
Scarlett muttered, "A fabulous gown?"
