Chapter 27 The Sweet Smell of Revenge
"Oh God! This is amazing!" Becca exclaimed as she used her vampire speed and ran around the house. It was several days after Becca completed her transition of becoming a vampire.
"Why did I even think twice about having these kinds of supernatural abilities!"
Damon chuckled and shook his head.
"Be careful sweetie," Elena told her.
"Relax, Mom. I'm just trying it out," Becca replied.
"I know you would love it," Damon smirked.
"Woohoo!!!" Becca exclaimed as she ran around, encircled Damon, then Elena and finally sat down on the dining table.
Damon and Elena chortled at how their daughter acted.
"Dad, Mom, can I go hunt for some blood to drink?" Becca asked them after a moment of silence. She played with her amulet necklace which was dangling around her neck. It was given by Damon and Elena that morning. They asked a witch friend of theirs to make it for Becca and fortunately, it was done quite fast and satisfying.
Damon's expression changed. "No, definitely no," he said seriously.
"Why?? I'm hungry," Becca protested.
"I think you still couldn't control yourself. Besides, we have blood bags here," Damon replied.
"Oh boo!" Becca exclaimed, expressing her dissatisfaction. A pout tugged on her lips.
"Rebecca, I thought you would've known by now not to raise your voice at me like that," Damon said warningly.
Becca huffed in annoyance. The doorbell rang exactly after that.
"I'll get it," Becca said, got up from her seat, and strode to the front door. She did it because she wanted to avoid Damon. She wasn't in the mood for listening to her Dad's lecture.
Becca walked over to the front door and turned the door knob to open it. She found a man with an athletic built stood behind the door. His face looked familiar to Becca, but she didn't think she had seen him. She couldn't place a finger on why she thought he was looking familiar
He looked down at Becca. A confused look crossed his face for a second, but then he smiled at her. "Hi there," he greeted.
Becca narrowed her eyes in suspicion. "Who are you and what do you want?" she asked bluntly and sharply. It was so obvious that she was still annoyed because Damon wouldn't let her go out.
"I'm...," the man started answering, but he got cut off.
"Stefan?" Damon said, emerging from the living room. A huge smile tugged on his lips. He seemed brighten up after seeing who was coming. "Hello Damon," Stefan greeted.
"Hello brother. It's been a while," Damon said, grinning. He walked over to Stefan, gave him a hug, and patted him twice on the back.
"Stefan?" a voice of Elena rang as she emerged from the living room two seconds later. Her face was as bright as Damon and she saw the man. She walked over and gave him a hug as well. He hugged her back.
"You didn't say you were coming over," Elena remarked as she pulled back her hug.
"I thought I would give you guys a surprise," Stefan answered.
"You sure did," Damon replied and Stefan chuckled.
"How are you, brother?" he asked.
"I'm..."
"Daddy, you never told me you got a brother," Becca cut Stefan off.
"Rebecca, it's rude to cut someone off like that," Damon reprimanded her while giving her a stern look.
Becca crossed her arms over her chest and rolled her eyes. She was being petulant because of the earlier occurrence.
"Young lady, you better straighten up your attitude unless you want to have a little chat about it," Damon warned her. He didn't have to explain it, but Becca knew what her Dad meant by 'having little chat'. Becca huffed, but uncrossed her arms. "Fine," she mumbled. She didn't want her bum on fire, whatsoever.
"You didn't answer my question," she mumbled next.
"Yes, Rebecca. This is my brother, Stefan. Stefan, this is Rebecca, my daughter," Damon introduced them.
Stefan leaned over to Becca's eye level and greeted her properly, "Hello Rebecca."
"Becca," she corrected him.
"Right. I'm Stefan. I'm your dad's brother, which makes me your uncle," Stefan said. He held his hand out to her. Becca took it and shook his hand. "It's nice to meet you little niece," Stefan remarked.
"I'm not little," Becca replied rudely.
"Rebecca," Damon growled warningly under his breath. Damon was about to grab Becca's hand, but Stefan prevented him to do so by stepping forward. "It's okay, Damon," Stefan said, looking at his brother. His utterance seemed to cool him off a bit.
"I'm sorry, Becca. My bad. You sure are not little. Silly me," Stefan said with a slight chuckle.
"It's really nice to meet you," he remarked nicely, smiling at her.
"I apologize for her behavior, Stefan. She's upset because I wouldn't let her go out," Damon stated, glancing at Becca with a stern look on his face.
"No need to apologize. Looks like she inherited your rebellious nature, Damon," Stefan said jokingly.
"Stefan," Damon said incredulously. He gave Stefan a death glare.
Elena covered her laugh by turning it into coughs.
"I inherited Daddy's rebellious attitude? No way!" Becca commented. An amused look was shown on her face.
"As a matter of fact, he was even worse. I don't know about now, but back then he cursed a lot and..." "That's enough, Stefan," Damon cut him off before another word could come out from Stefan's mouth.
Stefan put his hands up in a fake surrender. "Right, sorry brother," he said, but still with a smirk on his face. "Stefan, where's Caroline? She's coming too, right?" Elena asked next in order to change the subject. "Of course. She had to go to the store first."
"What for?"
Stefan never got a chance to answer that because right then, a gorgeous woman with blonde hair emerged from the front door and stepped into the house. "Care?" Elena remarked.
"Hi Elena," Caroline greeted her, grinning.
"It's been 10 years and all you have to say is 'hi Elena'?! I can't believe you," Elena said, walked over to her and gave her a tight hug.
"I miss you, Care," Elena said.
"Aww I miss you too," Care replied.

"Mommy...," whined a little girl who was hiding behind Caroline. She was clinging onto her leg tightly while peering out her head.
"Who's this?" Elena inquired as she pulled back the hug.
"Emily, come out sweetheart," Caroline called out, but Emily hid behind her mother's leg again instead. Caroline bent over and picked her up. Emily was quickly clinging onto her mother and hid her face onto her chest. Emily was a gorgeous 4- year-old girl with brunette curls.
"Sorry. She's just shy," Caroline stated
"Elena, Damon, Becca, meet our daughter, Emily," Stefan remarked next.
"You have a daughter?" Damon asked, raising his eyebrows.
"It shocked me that you have a daughter too," Stefan responded and they chuckled. Damon invited them in and they went into the living room. They were chitchatting and catching up with each other for quite a while. After a while, Damon turned his body around and said, "Rebecca, could you..." He stopped himself as he found Becca wasn't there. His eyes scanned the room, but Becca wasn't anywhere to be found.
"Becca?" he called out, "Rebecca!" He stood up and emerged from the living room. He stopped dead in his track when he saw the front door.
He ran his fingers through his hair in exasperation as his eyes landed on the wide-opened door.
"That girl," Damon mumbled to himself while shaking his head in disbelief.
"You okay? Where is she?" Stefan asked his brother, emerging from the living room.
Damon let out a sigh. "Looks like she took the chance to sneak out when we were busy catching up," he answered. "Where would she go?" Stefan inquired.
"I don't know, but we need to find her before she kills half of the human population here," Damon replied. Stefan furrowed his eyebrows. "Wait... She's a vampire?" he asked.
"Yeah, she's a newborn. It's a long story. I'll tell you later. Come on, we need to find her," Damon sighed once again.
"Go. I'm right behind you. I'll tell Elena and Caroline first," Stefan said. Damon nodded his head and sped off.
Becca leaned her elbow on the arm of the couch and rested her head on her hand. She looked bored while watching her parents catching up with Stefan and Caroline. She was also annoyed because Emily wouldn't stop whining to Caroline with her high-pitched voice. Becca diverted her gaze to the door frame that separated the living room and the foyer. An idea flitted into her mind and she smirked. She glanced at her parents, who were busy chitchatting, and took that chance to sneak out. She quietly got up from her seat and tiptoed to the foyer. She thought they wouldn't notice her if she was quiet enough and she was proven right. She was succeeded reaching the foyer without drawing anyone's attention. Once she reached the front door, she used her vampire speed and went to the Town Square.
Becca was hungry and she knew she needed blood. She wanted human blood. She was craving it. Then, she saw a glimpse of Paige, or her mortal enemy she would call it, was standing by the Mystic Grill. Paige was standing there alone, being busy texting on her phone. It was like a bulb of light appeared over her head, Becca got a brilliant idea. She smirked mischievously and walked over toward Paige.
It was odd that Paige wasn't with any of her friends, but it was a major luck for Becca because no one would witness what she was about to do.
"Hey Paige," Becca greeted her with an innocent smile she could muster.
Paige lifted her gaze from her phone and glared at Becca. Paige didn't even bother to hide a disgust expression when she glared at her.
She laughed bitterly. "Brave enough to talk to me, huh? Who do you think you are?"
Becca ignored her and instead she asked, "Where's your friends?"
"None of your business, b*tch," Paige answered sharply. She shot Becca a death glare.
"Why don't you..."
Paige never got the chance to finish her sentence because Becca grasped her arm and sped off, dragging Paige along with her. Becca brought Paige to the clock tower.
"What the hell?!" Paige exclaimed, retracting her hand harshly from Becca's grip. She looked around and found herself on of the rooftop of the clock tower.
"What... How...?" Paige didn't manage to form a sentence, due to her shock.
"Doesn't it look amazing from up here?" Becca said, "I was standing right in this exact position when I was about to commit suicide. It was the day when you called me with those horrible names."
Paige didn't respond to Becca's statement. Not because she didn't have any comebacks, but because she was too shock to say anything. Hundreds of questions whirled in her head.
Becca stepped in front of Paige, so they were face to face. "You had fun making fun of me and making my life miserable, now it's time for me to have fun," Becca stated with a smirk on her lips. She stepped forward, cornering Paige. "What are you going to do?" Paige asked frantically. Her voice was shaking and was no louder than a whisper. She took a step back.
Becca chuckled in amusement. "Not so cocky now, are you?"
Becca took another step forward. Paige looked back and noticed she was on the edge of the rooftop. One more step and she would tumble off the building.
"Becca, stop please," Paige pleaded.
"I'm surprised that you actually know my name, remembering that you had never called me that," Becca told her.
"Look, I'm sorry..."
Becca cut her off with a snort. "No, you're not. You just said that because you're in a life or death situation," she remarked.
"No, I really mean it..."
"Shut it! Enough with the chit chat. Let's get on the business, shall we?" Becca cut her off one more time. She couldn't hold back her sneer when she noticed Paige looked at her with a terrified look on her face once Becca shown her fangs. She grasped Paige's shoulder harshly and shoved her fangs into Paige's neck skin. Paige screeched in pain. Becca sucked on her blood vigorously and seemed to enjoy every second of it.
"Rebecca!" exclaimed someone from beneath, interrupting her action.
Becca pulled away from Paige and looked down. She rolled her eyes when she found Stefan down there with his arms crossed.
"I told you my name is Becca, not Rebecca. And what do you want anyway? Can't you see I'm busy here?" Becca countered sassily and she could see Stefan frowned at her remark.
"Let go of that girl and get down here," Stefan instructed her.
"What do you think I would do what you say?" she replied with a lot of sass.
"Rebecca May Salvatore, get down here this instant!" Damon growled as he came out of nowhere, "You're in a deep trouble, young lady."
Becca knew she should've done what her Dad told her to, but the smell of getting paybacks on Paige was too tempting.
"Rebecca, don't make me come up there," Damon warned her.
Becca looked at her dad and then diverted her gaze to Paige who was trying to wriggle away from her grip. Then she pulled Paige closer to her and once again dug her fangs into her skin and fed on her. Damon scowled and sped off to the rooftop of the clock tower. Once Damon reached the rooftop, he exclaimed, "Rebecca, stop feeding on her!" Becca ignored him completely and continued to feed on Paige.
"Stop it right now, young lady. Compel her to forget and we'll go home," Damon told her, but Becca still ignored him.
Damon shook his head incredulously and pulled Becca away from Paige forcefully.
"Get the f*ck away from me!" Becca blurted out.
Damon was taken aback hearing his daughter swore at him. Becca was taken aback as well. The words already left her mouth and she couldn't take them back. Becca was expecting Damon to yell at her or something, but it didn't happen. Instead, Becca could see Damon's eyes went dark, but he stayed calm.
"Rebecca, compel her to forget and we'll go home," Damon ordered in his low stern voice.
Becca stared at her dad for a couple of seconds before turning around and ran off using her vampire speed. "Rebecca Salvatore, come back here!" Damon exclaimed, but Becca was already out of sight.
Damon rubbed his forehead in desperation and vexation. "What am I going to do with that girl?" he sighed.
