Chapter 15 Busted!
"Party's over! Get back to your house now before I call each and every one of your parents!" Alaric shouted and students immediately dashed out through the front door. Alaric spotted Becca and frowned at her. "Rebecca May Salvatore!" he snarled as he walked over to her.
"Leave," Becca said to Ben.
"You sure? You're gonna be okay?" Ben asked her.
"I'm gonna be okay," Becca assured him and pushed him toward the front door.
"Leave, guys. I got this. I'm gonna be fine," Becca said to Sarah and Katelyn who was standing near the front door.
"Are you sure?" Sarah said, her eyes went wide.
"Yes. Go!" Becca said. They shot her an encouraging look and left the house.
She whirled around, finding Alaric standing with his arms crossed and stern look on his face.
"Hey, Uncle Ric. How was your date?" Becca asked nonchalantly.
"Rebecca May Salvatore. Take a seat on the couch. NOW," he growled, pointing toward the couch in the living room. Becca trudged toward the couch and sat on it.
"Explain yourself, Rebecca," Alaric demanded after took a deep breath.
Becca crossed her arms and huffed. "Why should I? You're not my Dad!"
"Are you seriously having attitude right now?" Alaric asked in disbelief. Becca just shot him with a defiant look.
"I'm not going to ask you again, Rebecca. Explain what happened," Alaric told her sternly.
"None of your business. Aren't you supposed to be on a date anyway?"
"Quit stalling, Rebecca. I want the answer. NOW," he said again.
"Fine!" she said with a lot of sass.
"Drop the attitude. You are already in so much trouble," Alaric warned her.
"I'm waiting...," he said when Becca didn't say anything.
"I was just having a little fun," Becca said finally, shrugging her shoulders.
"A little? Look at this place, Rebecca. It's like a train wreck! You're lucky it's me and not your father who caught you," Alaric said.
"But you're not supposed to be here. You're supposed to be on a date with Ms. Tarver," Becca mumbled.
"Yeah, the one that you had set up?" Alaric raised his eyebrows.
Becca let out a scoff. "What are you talking about?" She asked innocently.
"Stop playing dumb with me, Rebecca. You really think I wouldn't find out?" Alaric said, raising his eyebrows.
"Stop accusing me. You don't have any proof," Becca fired back.
"I don't need any proof, Rebecca. I know it's you," Alaric said.
Becca let out a bitter laugh. "And if it's really me, what do you think I would give in so easily?" She asked, letting a smirk grew on her lips. Alaric gave her the look, but Becca didn't get a hint. "What are you going to do to me? You're not my Dad, Alaric," Becca sassed back, deliberately calling him by his first name just to irritate him even more.
"Keep this attitude up and you'll see what happen. Now tell me why did you throw this party?"
"It's none of your f*cking business, Alaric! You're not my Dad. You're not in the position of interrogating me," Becca answered him sassily.
"And last time I checked, you're not in the position of being disrespectful and sassy toward me. Do you want to do this the easy way or the hard way?" Alaric asked, raising his eyebrows. "Like I f*cking care!" Becca fired back. A flame of anger danced in her eyes.
"Alright. That's it," Alaric said, standing up. He grabbed her arm and pulled her over his left knee.
"What the f*ck are you doing?!" Becca freaked out. Her face flushed with embarrassment. Mostly because Alaric could probably see her bare bottom underneath her really short shorts. Becca knew if she bend over like that, her really short shorts lifted up and Alaric could easily see her bare backside.
"I don't want to do this, Becca, but you keep giving me sassy comments and I'm tired of your lack of respect. Plus, you wouldn't cooperate with me, so let's do this the hard way," he said, landing the first smack on her bum barely covered by her shorts. "Ow!" Becca shrieked.
Becca was too shocked to say anything. Alaric focused landing hard, solid smacks on her backside. Becca grunted and muttered an "ow" or an "ouch" each time his hand landed harshly on her backside. Her really short denim shorts didn't give her so much protection either. She squirmed and kicked her legs and tried everything to avoid his spankings and to get up from her not so comfortable position, but Alaric had firm grip around her waist to hold her down. Becca didn't whine because she knew it was just futile. After about three minutes, Alaric stopped and rubbed her backside gently.
"Do you want to say anything? Presumably... Something with five letters? Maybe a sorry?" He asked.
Becca didn't say anything. She just laid over his knee and hid her head on the pillow.
Alaric sighed. "Okay, then," he said and started to spank her backside all over again. Faster and harder this time.
"Alright! Sorry!" Becca exclaimed with an attitude after twenty smacks already landed on her bum.
"You sounded like you're angry rather than you're sorry," Alaric told her without stopping.
"Sorry, Uncle Ric," Becca said, finally lowered her voice.
"What are you sorry for?" He asked with another smack on her bum.
Becca grimaced and answered, "I'm sorry I disrespected you and I'm sorry for my bad attitude."
"Are you ready to discuss this calmly, reasonably, honestly, and without any attitude?" Alaric asked with two hard smacks on her bum.
"Yes, sir," Becca said.
Alaric landed more smacks on her bum and finally stood her up on her feet.
"Sit down, Becca," Alaric said, patting the seat beside him.
Becca sat down on the couch, wincing in the process. Alaric didn't spank her long and also didn't spank as hard as Damon, but that was enough to make Becca's backside stung. "Okay, Becca. Now tell me the real reason why did you plan on throwing this party?"
"Like I said, I was just having a little fun," Becca said, fidgeting with her hand.
"There's more to it. There are always more to every explanation."
Becca looked down at her lap. "You don't understand, Uncle Ric..."
"Talk to me, Becca..."
"I just... I want to live a little. I want to forget everything even for just one moment. I just need to get my mind off things."

"By throwing a party? You know when the party's over, you'd go back to reality."
Becca stared at him for a while. Then she rolled up the sleeves of Ben's letterman jacket while taking a deep breath. She stretched out her arms and showed it to Alaric.
His expression changed immediately. Shocked, sadness, and concern mixed in his eyes, just like Damon when he saw it the first time. "Becca... I have no idea...," Alaric commented, appalled.
"For just one night, I just want to feel special, alright? I want to fit in. I always feel neglected and invisible my entire life. I want to start over. You know how high school works. Either you become popular or you're going to be the outcast for the rest of your high school life and I'm tired of being invisible," Becca explained. Alaric could see that Becca tried to hold back her tears. Becca wanted to lie to Alaric, but for some reasons she just couldn't.
"Becca...," Alaric said, wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a hug. He rubbed her back for a while.
"Did your father know that you cut yourself?" Alaric asked, pulling back his hug. "Yeah," Becca said.
"I can't believe he didn't tell me about it," Alaric said, shaking his head slightly.
"Look, Uncle Ric... I'm sorry I made you upset and I kind of ruined your date. I didn't mean it that way, alright? I can see that you really like Ms. Tarver, so I thought setting you up on a date with her was the right thing to do. It was a win-win situation. You went on a date with her and I got to throw a party," Becca said.
"You cannot throw a party without adult's permission, Rebecca. It's illegal and irresponsible. You're lucky cops didn't come and shut down the party because it's unsupervised," Alaric told her and Becca bit down her lower lip.
"You know you've broken like almost every rule in this house, right?" Alaric asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Please don't tell my Dad, Uncle Ric...," Becca said, shooting him a pleading look.
Alaric stared at her, seemed to consider it. "I won't tell your father about this..."
"Really? You cool about this?" Becca asked in disbelief.
"No, I'm not cool about this, Becca. I let you off the hook just for this once, but I want you to promise me something," Alaric said seriously.
"Promise you what?" Becca asked.
"Talk to me when you need me. I might be your teacher and I might be your dad's best friend, but I'm here for you. You can trust me, Becca. If you want to talk about anything that you can't tell your father, I'm all ears. I promise I'll keep it between us and I'll help you the best I can. Okay?" Alaric told her and Becca nodded her head.
"Good. We need to start cleaning up the mess before your parents get home," he said, getting up.
"Oh and Becca?" he added and turned his body around to face Becca.
"Yeah?"
"If you ever do something like this again, I'd spank you myself and that spanking you just got was nothing to compare with. I can guarantee you it won't be pleasant at all," Alaric said, causing Becca's cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
