Chapter 90
Dunng dinner, Winnie retched when she found there was fish on the table.
Jonathan’s brows tightened, and then he commented, displeased, “Winnie, you didn’t need to act that way even if you don’t like the dish”
Winnie felt aggneved as she heard the accusation from him. She looked at him and explained, “I wasn’t doing it on purpose”
Learning her reaction, Samantha suddenly seemed to realize something. A bright smile appeared on her face, and she exclaimed, “Winnie, are you pregnant again?”
“What?” Winnie blurted her words in puzzlement.
“Do you have a baby again?” Samantha questioned again. As she was impatient for her response, she turned to look at Jonathan and instructed, “You should accompany Winnie to the hospital tomorrow”
There was a moment of silence between them while Jonathan glanced at Winnie and her belly. He then nodded in agreement. “Okay.”
Ever since he was with Winnie, both of them had never used protection every time. Hence, it was highly possible that she was pregnant again.
As expected, Winnie stayed overnight at the Zimmerman residence at that time.
When the next day arrived, Jonathan drove Winnie to the hospital for a checkup. Unfortunately, it was told that she was not pregnant; she was only having a weak stomach.
Having his hope destroyed, Jonathan sighed in disappointment.
Because of this, he asked Winnie to return home by herself, while he again went to linger outside of Yennefer’s company.
Same as yesterday, Yennefer completely ignored him.
Conversely, Winnie was on her way back home. She initially thought that she would have confirmed her relation to the Zimmerman family if she had a baby again, but she did not expect that no signs of pregnancy were found during the checkup. She was very disappointed.
She did not understand how she still could not manage to be pregnant with Jonathan’s child, even when they never used protection all the time.
As she pondered, a single conclusion came to her mind. If this were the case, it indicated only one possibility–there is something wrong with
Jonathan.
“If so, wouldn’t I… No! I have to get pregnant!” When Winnie came to the realization, she pulled out her phone, found a number, and dialed it.
Half a month later, Jonathan was still reluctant to sign the divorce agreement.
With no other method to get his signature, Yennefer was left with no other choice but to file for divorce one–sidedly.
Despite that, Jonathan was assertive about not wanting a divorce. Even when the court tried to convince him, he still did not agree to it. He kept on insisting that he still loved Yennefer, and they still had feelings for each other.
Unfortunately, in this case, the divorce would not happen as long as one party refused to proceed with it.
In the end, Yennefer still did not manage to break the marriage even after such a long time. Looking at Yennefer, who appeared to be troubled, Josephine hesitated as she held the video in her hands.
She did not want Yennefer to break down when she watched the video, so she held back the urge to show it to the latter.
At first, Josephine wished to stay by her side and comfort her, but Yennefer refused. Once Yennefer had calmed down, she headed back to her house. When she thought of Danny and Manny, who were very clingy to her every day, Josephine decided to return to the Levine mansion.
After taking care of the children, she walked back to her bedroom as usual.
She took a shower, lay on her bed, and kept silent.
Ragnar stepped into the room and questioned, “Was the divorce unsuccessful?”
Ragnar knew that Josephine had been accompanying Yennefer to settle the divorce lately.
Seeing her spirtless look, he understood that things did not end well.
Josephine turned to look at Ragnar as she heard his voice.
She recalled that Ragnar had previously mentioned that she could always ask for his assistance if it was needed.
Realizing that, Josephine sat up straight. Her gaze was stuck on Ragnar for a short while, then she voiced out, “Ragnar, that Jonathan did not want to divorce. Can you…”
“You have finally asked for my help,” Ragnar teased. He had been waiting for Josephine to ask for his help.
“I,” Josephine’s voice came to a pause, she did not know what to say.
All this while, Josephine thought about not bothering Ragnar if she could handle everything by herself
After all, she already owed him a favor, a favor which was difficult to repay.

“Josephine, we are a couple. Yennefer’s problem would also be a problem of mine. I will help you as long as you ask,” Ragnar uttered while he held
her hands.
When the issue of divorce arose back then, Ragnar checked with Josephine if she needed any assistance.
However, Josephine had declined, claiming that Yennefer could settle it on her own.
Thus, Ragnar did not involve himself in this.
Feeling touched, Josephine looked into his eyes and expressed her gratitude, “Thank you!”
If she knew that Jonathan would be a difficult nut to crack, she would have requested Ragnar’s help in the first place.
With that, Yennefer would not end up being mentally and physically exhausted from trying to file the divorce.
At the receiving end of her appreciation, Ragnar frowned and responded with a deep voice, “Are you thanking me now? Hmm?”
Josephine instantly came to realize what she had done. “Oops, I forgot.”
“You shall be punished for your forgetfulness then.” Ragnar leaned over in an instant and kissed her soft lips.
After some time, their clothes were scattered all over the floor. The temperature in the room increased, and the sound of moaning continued…
When the sun rose again, Ragnar arrived at the company. The first thing he did was instruct Mike to contact the company that was working with Jonathan and ask the company use any excuse to terminate the collaboration with Jonathan.
Mike immediately understood what had happened as he received this order.
He then swiftly exited the room and began to work on the given task.
Mike was a very efficient subordinate. In less than two hours, he managed to contact the company’s boss, who was collaborating with Jonathan.
When the other party learned that it was Ragnar’s people who contacted them, they naturally did not dare to question anything. They began to find an excuse to cancel the collaboration obediently.
Within two days, Jonathan was very busy. At first, he thought it was because his products were unqualified, and he even went to the warehouse to check them in person.
As a result, there was no evidence of problems with the product quality. He then paid a visit to the partnering company and requested an explanation
for the sudden cancellation of the collaboration.
It was unveiled to him that Ragnar was behind this, and instantly, he fell into panic.
Jonathan knew that no one dared to defy Ragnar’s order if he said so.
While he was at a loss, Jonathan was instantly reminded of Christopher.
After all, it was Christopher who supported him last time. He thought there was a possibility for Christopher to help him again this time.
Jonathan clearly understood one thing. As long as he still refused to divorce Yennefer, Christopher would help him out for the sake of Josephine, who was Yennefer’s niece.
When he came to the conclusion, Jonathan hurriedly ordered his assistant to check on Christopher’s whereabouts
Soon, it was found that Christopher had just returned from a business trip that day. Christopher was estimated to arrive at the mansion at 3 p.m.
Jonathan headed to Christopher’s mansion early to wait for his arrival when he received the news.
Ten minutes passed three, and Christopher’s car slowly drove into Jonathan’s vision from afar.
mmediately when the vehicle was about to enter the mansion gate, Jonathan got out of his car and blocked in front of Christopher’s car
Christopher’s men were about to scold him when Christopher stopped them.
Noticing the abrupt emergence of the man, Christopher was puzzled and thought, “If I remember correctly, this person should be Jonathan, Josephine’s unck–in–law”
He stopped out of the car subsequently. Then, he asked in a polite and elegant manner, “What’s the matter?”
Jonathan quickly apologized, “Mr. Hayes, I’m sorry to bother you.”
‘Get straight to the point,” Christopher cut in, as he never liked to beat around the bush.
Jonathan gulped before he stated, “Mr. Hayes, I’m Josephine’s uncle–in–law. It should be Josephine who asked you to help my company survive last ime. Something happened to my company that time.”
He continued his words after a short pause, “I don’t know why I was targeted this time. Mr. Hayes, with the connection of Josephine being your daughter’s teacher, can you give me a helping hand again? I know it’s too abrupt for me to come to you out of nowhere, but I really don’t have any other way” Jonathan’s voice became softer as he spoke, he was too ashamed to continue his sentence.
Jltimately.
he never had any interaction with Christopher before this.
Fit weren’t for the fact that he was left with no choice, Jonathan would have never thrown away his pride to beg Christopher.

Bewildered, Christopher briefly scanned Jonathan, who was before his eyes.
Within a few seconds, he mentioned, “You can go back first.“.
After he finished his sentence, he got back into the car and waved his hand to instruct the driver to drive.
Jonathan remained clueless about what Christopher meant. In a daze, he stood rooted to the spot. Up until the moment when Christopher’s car could not be seen anymore, only then did he return to his car.
For the entire night. Jonathan spent his time tossing and turning on the bed, worry and anxiety filling his heart.
At sunnse, he received a call from his assistant before arriving at the company. The assistant informed him that there was another company that signed the agreement to take over the collaboration project.
A relieved smile was revealed on Jonathan’s face.
He felt so excited!
