She didn’t know how long she could keep up with such a life and seemed to fall for him deeply. 

A moment later. Ragnar said, “If you see that scumbag again, turn amund and leave.” 

“Okay” Josephine nodded. 

She knew what to do without having Ragnar tell her that. 

Then, Josephine locked up at him and said. “Ragnar, thank you.” 

She wanted to thank him for giving her a sense of security recently. 

It made her feel the warmth of being protected. 

“How are you going to thank me?” When Ragnar asked, his eyes were filled with eagerness. 

He whispered in her ear, “How about…” 

Josephine fell silent. 

She realized she shouldn’t have upset him. 

At that moment, she clearly noticed his change in attitude. 

“I’m sleepy. I’m heading to bed” 

Afraid he would want to make out again, Josephine hurriedly escaped from his embrace, turned sideways, and pretended to sleep.

She prepared many dishes which filled the table. 

When Yennefer opened the door and stepped in, she smelled the aroma in the room. 

“Aunt Yennefer, welcome back,” Liliana greeted Yennefer happily. 

“You’re here too, Liliana.” With a smile, Yennefer put down the local specialties she had brought 

Liliana never saw herself as an outsider. 

Eying the specialties Yennefer had brought, Liliana looked as if she was about to drool and asked, “Aunt Yennefer, what are those?” 

Yennefer smiled and handed her one of them. “How could I forget to get you some?” 

“Thank you, Aunt Yennefer You’re the best.” 

Liliana opened the box as they spoke, and a surprised expression immediately appeared on her face. “Aunt Yennefer, I was about to buy it online, but you’ve got it for me. It seems that we have a telepathic connection.” 

Liliana was being a little exaggerated. 

Josephine invited Liliana over to chat with Yennefer. 

Then, Josephine, who was busy in the kitchen, heard the noise and came out. 

Holding a spatula, she said, “Aunt Yennefer, please sit and rest for a while. Dinner will be ready soon.” 

Yennefer approached her and asked, “Take your time. Do you need help?”

Yennefer told them she managed to sign a grant project.

It was excellent news for Yennefer 

Most importantly, she could help Josephine pay the house loan, so the latter wouldn’t be so burdened. 

Josephine and Liliana were happy for her. It was indeed good news. 

As they were in a good mood, they drank more.
