He stood in front of Josephine again and said in a different tone, “Josie, I said that on impulse earlier. I’m sorry. Could you give me another chance?” 

Right then, Ragnar returned after answering the call and looked for Josephine. 

When he saw Charles bugging Josephine at a distance, his dark and tense gaze was filled with coldness. 

He walked toward Josephine with long steps. 

When he reached Josephine’s side, he extended his hand to pull her into his arms before swinging his leg. 

As his move was sudden, Charles was not on guard and plunged to the ground after the kick, swallowing some sand. 

The people on the beach were frightened by the scene. When they were about to talk about it, they hurriedly backed away and dared not step forward at the sight of Ragnar’s cold and domineering gaze. 

Someone in the crowd recognized Ragnar. 

They didn’t dare to say anything as they knew what kind of person he was.

Seeing Josephine being led away, Charles clenched his fists angrily and hit the sand several times.

Then, he slowly stood up and shouted at Ragnar and Josephine, “Ragnar, I’ve played with that woman beside you many times. I didn’t expect you to be willing to date a slutty woman.”

If someone took his photo, it might cause unnecessary trouble. 

Most importantly, as they got married secretly, Josephine didn’t want anyone to know about her relationship with Ragnar.

After sending Josephine back to the mansion, Ragnar returned to the company. 

Josephine picked up her phone several times to call Ragnar at the mansion, but she put it down in the end. 

She thought, “Forget it. Charles and I have had nothing to do with each other since long ago. What’s there for me to explain? Sometimes, things only get more complicated when one tries to explain.” 

At that, Josephine put down her phone and went to the children’s room to accompany Danny and Manny. 

She also chatted merrily with Hannah. 

When Danny and Manny heard their laughter, they giggled along

After tucking Danny and Manny in, Josephine lay in her bedroom bed.

She thought awhile and said, “Ragnar, I didn’t meet up with Charles. He was the one bugging me. Besides, I didn’t know he was also at the beach.” 

As Ragnar was mad, Josephine thought she needed to explain herself. 

Ragnar replied, “I know.” 

What made him angry was that Charles grabbed her hand and tried to kiss her. 

He wouldn’t allow any guy to touch her. 

“Are you still mad at me?” Josephine asked. 

After being with Ragnar for a while, Josephine realized he was not as cold as he seemed. 

In fact, he also had a warm and thoughtful side. 

“Because he touched you!” Then, Ragnar claimed Josephine’s lips. 

His kiss was like a punishment as he devoured her fiercely, making her breathless.

After taking a shower, Josephine lay comfortably on the bed. She ran her fingers along Ragnar’s neck and placed her head on his chest. 

She asked uncertainly, “Ragnar, what is our relationship now?” 

Ragnar frowned slightly and turned his head to look at her. “We are doing what couples do. What’s wrong with that?” 

“Couples?” she thought. 

Josephine was stunned for a moment when Ragnar said those words.
