Azul POV

I saw how distressed she was, but she waited till I had left to give in to her burnout. Conjuring that much power in a short period spam, when she just gained her true essence was dangerous.

I knew it.

It’s times like this that I hate being myself.

If it was anyone else, they would call for help and explain the situation later but I’m different. I’m a Von in the Northern Air royal room.

Big emphasis on ROYAL.

Questions will arise and my cover just as much as hers will be blown.

“FUCK! Cosmos go and find Ilmari.”

Ilmari inside of her room will be questioned but at least there won’t be an uproar to off his head.

I know everyone else can’t find Ilmari but for some reason Cosmos when determine he can find anyone.

I look at the shadow now next to me, waiting for me to place Sora on her bed before proceeding with his mission.

If I come and she isn’t breathing, I might kill you and take over. Why are you afraid of these minions? They should be worshiping you but instead, you hiding, ashamed of me?”

“Cosmos this isn’t the time?”

What will you do with this false mate of hers?”

I’ll have to discuss that with Sora and Ilmari. It’s not just my decision to make.”

“Hmph! You can kill him right now and then there wouldn’t be a decision to make.”

You saw what I saw. You know how valuable his memories are. Killing him will be a mistake.”

“He knows who Sora is and who you are. Remember what we have to do when people find out who we are.”

We have time. For now, search Ilmari, and I’ll try to get the royal’s doctors’ attention in time.”

Within seconds one of my essence shadows disappears to find Ilmari while the other goes to find Sora’s doctor. It would’ve been easier to take her to my grandfather’s office but that would be a headache. Northern Air has strict security, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve already placed some sort of security spell on Sora.

She still needs more rest.

I snap my fingers, commanding a chair to appear next to me. I sat down with my hands crossed as I looked at Ahanu’s body. He is still breathing, but too frail to wake up.

A black mood that no one can dispel suddenly emerges. The more I look at him the more rage runs in front, biting and clawing to have his will. I can't even blame this emotion on Cosmos cause his not currently with me.

No, this is all my me.

He shares something with Sora, something that these people denied me to have with her. Cosmos is right. I could kill him now and no one will ever know.

I hear Sora moan and jerk her head from side to side. After some time, she stops, and her breathing is at ease now. I watch her eyelids jerk but I know she is not troubled.

It was like the first day when she had arrived, before the healers came in my grandfather had called me.

I remember standing there beguiled, just like a child that’s held captive. Looking at her as if we were strangers, maybe we still are. Diamonds, rubies and pearls can never compare to the beauty of her essence. I came in closer and kissed her forehead, hoping she felt my silent love.

That’s all I can ever be. Her silent bonded mate. The true one.

Ilmari arrives and I give him a nod before taking Ahanu and going back inside the walls. Comos has already filled him in on what happened.

I turn back to a shadow that is much like a messenger, a passing memento to become nothing.
