Chapter 13
Chapter 13Is That Right Fiancée
The shriek caught the attention of many guests at the venue, who instinctively looked over.
Elsa, who had been watching the situation closely, dashed over with seemingly concerned surprise. “Oh, my! What happened here?”
Her gaze fell on the group of women nearby, who immediately understood her tacit signal and began speaking up loudly. “Coco almost spilled wine on Ms. Beckman–accidentally, of course–and she has already apologized. Why would Ms. Beckman insist on publicly humiliating her?”
“Exactly. Not a single drop was spilled on Ms. Beckman!”
When they heard the conversation between the women, the looks the spectators gave Francesca became subtly different.
“What’s going on?”
Having heard the commotion, Colton walked over. He was surprised to see how disheveled the sharp–faced woman was looking.
Elsa quickly walked over to Colton to recount what had transpired in a soft voice. “I think Francesca might have been startled,” she said with feigned compassion. “That must be why she became so emotional all of a sudden. It’s just this girl…”
“I happen to have an extra skirt with me. Why don’t you wear mine for now?” Elsa suggested to her sharp–faced friend with an amiable smile.
Many of those who were not aware of the reason began to gossip about Francesca, and Colton’s brow furrowed even more.

I’ve noticed significant changes in Francesca over the past five years, but she…
Before Colton could speak, an arrogant voice rang out, “Franny would not pick a fight for no reason. You must have done something wrong if she retaliated.”
Without turning around, Francesca knew who was approaching from behind. A hint of helplessness creased her brows.
“Mr. Zabielski?” Elsa exclaimed in surprise.
If the Zeller family was a colossal entity single–handedly brought up by Philip, then the Zabielski family was akin to a deep, unfathomable lake that had been passed down through generations. Nobody knew when the Zabielski family began to prosper. All that was known was that their legacy had spanned hundreds of years, and the wealth they had accumulated was. beyond the imagination of most.
Yoel was the most popular figure of his generation in the Zabielski family.
He possessed a pair of passionate, searing eyes from which even just a casual glance would make one feel as if nobody else existed or mattered.
Rumors had long been circulating within his social circle that the young heir possessed a wild and unrestrained character, having attracted countless admirers and romantic entanglements. However, he suddenly began a phase of isolating himself a few years ago, drastically reducing his appearances in places of pleasure and entertainment.
As famous as his romantic reputation was, Yoel was also known for his precise and unique investment insights. It was said that any project that gained his favor would never suffer a loss.
In other words, he was the only one among his peers who could stand against Colton as an equal.

How could such a legendary character appear to speak up for Francesca? Moreover, the two of them seemed very chummy, as if… Could Yoel be the one who’s financially supporting Francesca?
“I saw the way you winked at each other. It couldn’t be more obvious that you poured that drink on Franny on purpose.” Yoel glanced at the woman who had been silent since his appearance. “Are you going to apologize, or do we need to go over the surveillance footage?”
The woman named Coco did not dare say a word in her defense. Nodding jerkily, she gave Francesca a hasty, apologetic bow before skulking away with a dejected look.
The smile on Elsa’s face froze. She quickly tried to repair the situation. “I can’t believe she would actually make accusations despite starting the confrontation. In fact, she almost deceived me. Mr. Zabielski, are you and Francesca…”
“How is our relationship any of your business?” Yoel sneered and winked at Francesca. “Is that right, my fiancée?“.
