Bound by the CEO’s Baby By Sun Scar Chapter 51
Chapter 51
Ana had tried to get a hold of Marcus all morning. She wanted to talk to him before he left the city, but he was avoiding her calls. Ana didn’t give up, though. When she got to Damien’s place, Alan was napping.
“He missed you,” Dianna said as they came back to the living room after checking on him.
“I know. I missed him, too.” She smiled. “Thank you so much, Dianna. I promise this is the last time.”
“Don’t be silly. Parents deserve to take a night off or two.”
Damien happily chimed in, “Ana will let me have Alan next weekend.”
“Is that so?” Dianna looked delighted.
Alan woke up half an hour later and they spent the afternoon playing in the garden. In the early evening, Ana got a phone call from
Marcus.
“Hello?”
“I am on my way to your house.”
“What?” Ana asked, confused.
“I will reach in an hour. Traffic is bad.”
“Marcus, I have been trying to call you all day.”
“Yeah, I am sorry about that. Last night was a mess and I thought I needed to apologize in person.”
“Marcus…” she warned.
“Look, I was a jerk last night, but both of us were drunk. I saw that man take advantage of you and just lost it. I will make it up to you, I promise.”
Ana wanted to protest, to tell him not to come over, but it was long overdue. She needed to end it and that needed to be done in person. So, she called Damien.
“Can you look after Alan for a bit? I’ll go home a little earlier.”
“Sure, what’s going on?” Damien asked, perplexed.
“Nothing. Marcus is going to the house. And I need to talk to him. I don’t think Alan should be around for that conversation.”
“Okay, let’s head out together. I will take Alan to the park and you can have your conversation in private.”
“Thank you,
Damien.”
Damien became silent. “Are you going to be okay? Are you sure you don’t want me to stick around?”
Ana waved his concern off. “I will be fine. I need to do this by myself.”
So, Damien dropped Ana off at her house and then took Alan to a nearby playground. Ana bit her lip nervously as she saw Marcus get off the cab.
“Hi,” he said, wrapping his arms around her.
“Hi… Come on in.” She hugged him quickly before pushing him away. She shut the door and Marcus took his jacket off. They walked into the living room and Marcus nodded in appreciation.
“This place looks wonderful,” he commented. “Mind giving me a tour?”
“Sure,” she said immediately and led her through the house.
“So, did Damien buy this house for you? Are you living rent–free?” he asked, walking too close to Ana.
No. I got the house on my own,” she explained. Ana showed him Alan’s room and the playroom.
“A piano?” Marcus asked, staring at the baby grand.
“Damien got it for Alan. Alan loves playing so we plan on teaching him how to play.”

“We… How sweet,” Marcus said dryly as he walked out. Ana tried to avoid her room, but Marcus wasn’t having any of it. “Is this your
room?”
“Yes, it is.” Ana cleared her throat.
“Let me see…”
Ana sighed and pushed the door open. She walked in slightly before she heard Marcus exclaim.
“Jesus, Ana. You sure did get knocked up by the right guy,” he said, grabbing her around the waist and pulling her to him.
“That is an awful thing to say.” She scowled and wriggled out of his hold. “If you were going to be an asshole, you should have just gone back.”
“Sorry,” he grumbled. “I came to apologize. Last night was out of control.”
“Yes, it did. And I should have thought about how awkward you would feel around people you didn’t know.””
He scoffed. “It wasn’t awkward. I just saw him groping you and you were drunk. I know guys like him, Ana. He was going to take advantage of you.”
Ana frowned. “Marcus, this is not about Damien. This conversation is about you and me.”
“Let me show you how sorry I am,” he whispered. “Where is Alan?” he questioned.
“He is out with Damien,” Ana commented.
“Excellent,” Marcus said. He grabbed Ana’s wrist and led her into the house.
“Stop it, Marcus. I can’t do this anymore.”
Marcus froze and looked at her deeply. “Can’t do what?”
“This,” she said, motioning between the two of them. “I can’t allow you to behave like this.”
He furrowed his brow. “It’s him, isn’t he?”
Ana rubbed her eyes. “Yes and no. It’s complicated but this has more to do with what I feel.”
“Okay, Ana. Enlighten me. What exactly do you feel?”
Ana could see the anger on his face and knew he was not going to take this conversation well.
“Damien deserves a chance to be Alan’s father. I owe him that much. I took that away from him because of an assumption I made. They need to bond. And you… you knew from the beginning I could offer nothing but friendship. And now, it’s not working for you. With Damien in the picture… I can’t…” she practically whispered the last words..
Marcus chuckled darkly and shook his head. He headed to the living room and she followed him quickly. He abruptly turned, causing Ana to bump into him. Ana stumbled backward.
“So, let me get this straight. That asshole took your virginity, knocked you up, and threw you aside without another word. He screamed at you, denied he was the father and accused you of being a gold digger.” He stopped to put his point across. “I consoled you when you found out you were pregnant and took care of you during your pregnancy. I helped you take care of Alan and asked for nothing in return for the last few years. And you are telling me to fuck off because what?” Marcus scoffed. “Because you don’t want to progress our relationship like we should have?”
Ana gasped. “Marcus-”
“No, Ana, save it!” He turned to leave but Ana grabbed his arm.
