Bound by the CEO’s Baby By Sun Scar Chapter 50
Chapter 50
“Ana?” Wynne called. “The cab to the hotel is here.”
Ana took the moment to respond to Marcus. “We can talk about this later.”
“Ana, please,” Marcus whispered. The meaning behind his plea was not lost on her. She had never allowed him to think they could be more than friends, but she had never pushed him away either. She had been selfish. Ana allowed herself to believe that Marcus was there just as a friend and that no one would get hurt in the end. And now, it looked like all three of them would.
“I will call you tomorrow.”
She went into the cab with Wynne and saw James hop into the next one with Damien. Ana didn’t look back when the cab started.
“That was interesting,” Wynne said after a moment.
Ana covered her face with her hands. “I am so fucked.”
“No, you’re not,” Wynne reassured. “I think both the guys will leave you alone tonight.”
The commentary was welcome and Ana laughed so hard that she cried. “That is not what I meant and you know it. I had no intention. of getting laid, to begin with. Thank you for reminding me.”
Wynne chuckled. “We can get you laid, but I need to take permission first.”
“Are you offering? Cause you know I don’t swing that way, right?”
The cab driver choked and coughed, making the girls laugh louder.
“Are you going to be okay?” Wynne asked, her laugh wearing off.
“I will be fine. It could have been worse if you ask me.”
“Definitely. A few more drinks in you and Damien wouldn’t have used his own hotel room tonight,” she said with an arched brow.
“Wynne!” Ana gasped.
“It’s not the alcohol this time. Damien was adamant about causing trouble. He knew what he was doing would piss Marcus off.”
Anastasia shook her head. “I know what he was doing and I allowed it. Why did I?”
The calm stare Wynne gave her made her moan. “Don’t look at me like that. Just say it, okay?” Ana knew she was being an asshole, but who could she vent to if not her friends?
A few minutes later, the cab stopped in front of the hotel. Wynne grabbed James on the way in while Damien lagged behind.
“Anastasia?”
“Not now, Damien. Please. I just want to shower and head to bed,” she begged. She looked at him ad waited for him to nod. Damien followed her into the lobby. The four of them rode the elevator in silence. Wynne and Damien exited on the tenth floor while they got off on the fourteenth. Damien walked slowly behind her to the room and made sure she got the door open.
“I am so sorry I ruined your night,” he apologized quietly.
Ana turned to him. He was looking at the doorknob, guiltily keeping his eyes off her.
“Damien… you didn’t ruin my night. It’s just… this is more complicated than I anticipated.” She sighed. “I just want to spend the rest of my birthday weekend in peace.” She stopped and waited for him.
“I understand.” He finally looked at her and smiled. “Goodnight, Ana.”
“Goodnight, Damien,” she said as she slowly closed the door. She soaked in the bath for the first time in months. She had the time and the tension to ease away. She just wore her underwear and burrowed into the fluffy bed all by herself. It was better than getting laid.
The loud banging on the door and Wynne’s nagging voice woke her up the next morning. Ana sat up straight and threw on a shirt and, pants before opening the door.
“Really, Wynne?” Ana asked. “I get one morning to wake up all by myself without anyone poking my face, or yelling at me that they

are hungry. One day without someone peeing on the floor and I have you doing just that.”
She left the door open and walked into the room.
“In my defense, I didn’t pee on the floor,” Wynne countered.
She heard collective chuckling and swiveling around. Damien and James were standing in the hallway, snickering.
“No comments,” Ana grumbled. “You shouldn’t wake up a sleep–deprived mother or laugh at her!”
Wynne invited them inside and they locked the door. Damien handed her a large mug of coffee.
“Thank you,” she said with a smile. This was Damien’s apology for the night before.
“My pleasure, madam,” he smirked.
“Don’t worry, I am going to send Alan to sleep at your home next weekend so that I can sleep in,” she joked.
“Really?” Damien asked excitedly, not getting her sarcasm. Now, she couldn’t take it back.
“Sure. If you are up to it,” Ana said as she took a much–needed sip of her non–alcoholic drink.
They spent a few quiet moments she shooed them away. “I will take a shower. If you don’t want to watch, go down and grab a
breakfast table.”
Damien stood in Ana’s room, staring at the small sliver of skin that was exposed when her oversized shirt dropped from her shoulder.
‘Did she just offer to let me watch her shower? I don’t mind!‘
Good thing he had loose pants on so no one noticed the little problem in his pants. James tapped on his shoulder and smiled. Damien hadn’t been subtle in his ogling.
“Let’s allow Ana to get herself together,” Wynne cleared her throat. But Damien didn’t move. “Damien?” Wynne called after a
moment.
“Please give me a minute.“”
The couple left the room and Damien heard the door shut behind him. Ana frowned at him.
“Hey,” he started.
“Hello,” she replied hesitantly.
“Are you okay?”
Damien had been concerned about her since the second he left her the night before. He was a part of why she was upset. He wanted to seduce her, but it just wasn’t enough. He needed more than a quick lay. Watching Marcus acting all chummy had got his blood boiling.
So, he stood his ground. He made his move regardless of Ana’s relationship status. And he wanted her to know.
