Bound by the CEO’s Baby By Sun Scar Chapter 4

Chapter 4

sitting area, she realized that the room was littered with toys. A plastic sword was stuck in between the sofa cushion. A toy police car that made her lose sleep was right at the corner of the table, ready for something to trip over. There was a onesie discarded in the corner of the room and a pair of underwear right beside it.

“Sorry for the mess. Comes with the kid,” Ana muttered.

“It’s fine,” Wynne said softly. Ana saw something in her eyes that she couldn’t understand. Having all of Baby Alan’s things in front of her must have made her realize how pressing the situation was.

Ana didn’t know how to continue the conversation because nothing she could think of could make the conversation any casier. And because she still breastfed at times, she didn’t drink any alcohol, either.

“Do you want something to drink? I can call room service,” she offered, nonetheless.

“I can’t drink at this hour, but I probably need something to get the conversation started.”

“Want me to ask for a bottle of wine?”

Wynne nodded immediately.

Anastasia walked over to the couch and cleared the area, making enough space for both of them to sit and talk. She pulled up the landline and ordered a bottle quickly.

Anastasia had never imagined having to deal with such a situation. The Wrights were always on the news and she made sure she was never in the same place as Damien or Wynne. It had always been her intention to keep Alan a secret from everyone, especially Damien. More time passed and she grew more confident that she had made the right decision. Right now, sitting across from her best friend, she began to question all the decisions she had made before.

Was it fair to keep a child from his father? Probably not. But it was impossible to walk up to Damien Wright and tell him he had a son after how he had treated her. She had fucked him once and they had not even been in a relationship. They weren’t even close, to begin with. She was a quiet and hardworking employee who admired the boss from afar and was his secretary’s best friend. They occasionally exchanged words because she was a key figure and presented projects in meetings.

And maybe… just maybe… she was one of the many women who had slept with him… just another one–night stand, and he had broken her heart thoroughly before knowing how much she liked the man.

They remained silent until the wine was brought to the room. She poured Wynne a glass and then poured some ginger ale for herself. They quietly sipped on their drinks before Wynne spoke.

“Hun, you have a lot of explaining to do,” she pressed. Ana wasn’t sure if Wynne was being playful or if she was just irritated. And she didn’t want to find out which it was. “I didn’t know my BOSS and you had a thing.”

“We didn’t,” Anastasia replied quickly.

“Well, seeing that your son exists, I would beg to differ on that.”
