Bound by the CEO’s Baby By Sun Scar Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Ana sucked in a deep breath and turned slowly to face the other woman. She closed her eyes and rubbed her forehead. “Wynne…” she started.
“Oh my god!” the other exclaimed.
Anastasia opened her eyes and still stared in the direction her mother and son had disappeared off to.
“Ana, he..”
Ana had hoped no one would find out about this matter.
“He is what, Wynne?” she asked indignantly. She was upset. Wynne stared at her, her mouth agape.
“How is this possible?” she cried. Her
nd raced a mile a minute as she tried to figure out what she was seeing.
“I have no idea what you are going on about,” Ana said calmly, but she knew Wynne wasn’t going to change her mind based on her stellar performance.
“He’s Damien’s, isn’t he?”
It didn’t take her long to figure it out. And how could it? Anastasia wasn’t surprised. She could lie. But there was no way she could deny her son’s parentage. Her parents had seen the baby when he was a year old and as every year passed, Alan looked more and more like Damien Wright.
Anyone who knew them before could make the connection. That was why Ana had avoided talking to people associated with the Wright Group for so long. She didn’t want people staring and gossiping about her once again.
“How could you?” Wynne whispered. She looked like she was in pain. Ana swallowed thickly and couldn’t respond. Wynne was angry. “Does, Mr. Wright know? Did Mr. Wright leave you to do this on your own?”
She started muttering profanities under her breath. Killing her boss was part of the plan.
“Wynne, stop!” Ana practically had to yell. “Mr. Wright doesn’t know, And I don’t wish for him to know in the future, either.”
Wynne shut her mouth quickly. People were watching them. The grocery store clerk was one of them.
“I don’t want to do this here.”
Wynne looked around and saw the curious faces around them. The people quickly went back to perusing the shelves, but the damage had been done. Wynne lowered her eyes to the floor.
“Dad is busy fixing up the apartment and Mom can take Alan to the park for a while. Why don’t we go you come to my hotel room in the afternoon and we can talk in private?”
“Alan?”
“Yes. That’s his name. Alan Reid.”
Wynne nodded with a sad smile. “I understand why you don’t want to do it here. But, Ana, I swear to god if you are not where you say you will be… I want answers… no dodging, no bullshit.”
Anastasia didn’t have the energy to finish shopping. She took her cart to the checkout and it suddenly occurred to her that if Wynne was there. Damien could be there, too. She turned quickly back around.
“Wynne?” The other hadn’t moved and was still staring at her feet. She looked up when her name was called. “He is not here, is he?”
Wynne shook her head. “Not right now,” she mumbled.

Chapter 3
Her heart jumped. So, Damien would be in town sooner or later. If she had bumped into Wynne, there was a chance the same could happen with Damien. She loaded her things onto the conveyor belt and fished out her card from her wallet. The cashier looked at her, eyes filled with gossip, as she handed over the bill.
“Messy, huh?” the cashier said finally.
Anastasia lifted her brow and gritted her teeth. “With all due respect, Miss…” she ground out. “Mind your own business.”
The cashier gasped as Ana took her bags and stormed out of the store. Her mother was right outside, watching Alan run up and down the wheelchair ramp.
“I give it half a day before that man finds out.”
Ana moaned. Her mother took the bags from her and started walking to the car.
“Alan, let’s go, baby,” she called out. Alan thumped on the metal railing one last time before running over to her and leaping into her arms. She swooped him up and nuzzled his neck before walking to the car. Alan’s hugs made her feel instantly
better.
I glanced over and saw Wynne getting into a blue car. Her eyes were on the mother and son. Sitting behind the steering wheel was James, her husband, and Anastasia’s other friend from Wright Group.
James‘ eyes were also on Anastasia and his mouth was open in shock. Ana diverted her eyes and opened the door to settle Alan into his car seat before driving away. Her body was on autopilot as she blanked out.
“Where are you going?” her mother asked curiously.
“Mom, would you mind looking after Alan for a few hours? I invited Wynne over to my
suite.”
The older woman sighed. Nothing more was said for the rest of the short ride. She dropped them off at the newly rented apartment and Alan started running as soon as his feet hit the ground. Suddenly, he turned around and came up in front of
the car.
“Buhbye, Mamma.” He gave her a toothy smile and blew her a flying kiss. She pretended to catch it and couldn’t help the tears that blurred her vision.
Her mother remained silent for a minute before speaking up. “Are you sure you want to do this on your own? You could walk away from this without explaining yourself, or you could take me with you for moral support. Your Dad won’t mind looking after the little one.”
Anastasia shook her head. “This is something I should take care of on my own. I want to end it here and not wait until the news reaches Damien’s ears.” She smiled weakly before driving away.
When she reached the hotel, there was half an hour until Wynne arrived. It was time for lunch but she didn’t have an appetite to speak of. In fact, she felt like puking and if she had anything other than water, she might have done so already.
Chapter 4
Anastasia remembered the day Wynne had slipped out of bed and called her in the wee hours of the morning.
“Wynne.. Why the hell are you calling me at this hour?” Anastasia grumbled, her words slurred with sleep.
“Are you sitting down? You need to sit down for this,” Wynne whispered in excitement.
“No, I am on the bed. I was sleeping until you rudely woke me up.”
Wynne pretended to be hurt as she said the next words, “You don’t want to know the exciting news then?”
Ana snorted. “You’re going to tell me anyway…” She paused. “I’m awake now. What’s up?”
“James and I did it.”
Anastasia was too sleepy to read between the lines. “Did what?” she asked stupidly.
“James and I had sex.”
There was a second of silence. “Congratulations. Did you use protection?”
”
“I can’t afford to get pregnant and take maternity leave. Mr. Wright might just fire me. Of course, I am on the pill… and we used a condom.”
“Hey. Just making sure!” Ana retorted. “Now that I think about it.. do you need to keep Damien Wright in your thoughts constantly while you have sex? Just you make sure your sexy time isn’t messing with his schedule?” she joked.
“Ew. Anastasia.” Wynne said in a flat voice. “I am going to join my gorgeous boyfriend in bed now and enjoy the several mind–blowing orgasms he is going to give me in the next few hours. You can go enjoy your night curled up in your bed…
alone.”
Ana burst out into laughter. “Hey, hey. I’m sorry. I was just joking. Don’t poke my sore spot when I am beyond tired. I will grab you some coffee in the morning tomorrow. Should that settle our debt?”
“Good girl. See you at ten, then.”
Anastasia hung up the phone and set it back on her nightstand. She buried her face into the pillow and it took some time. before she slipped back into sleep again. The next morning. Wynne grabbed onto Ana and gave her all the juicy details of her experience.
“Wynne, any more details, and I will feel like a voyeur,” she said softly as they sat in the cafe and sipped on their coffee.
Ana’s phone pinged with a message, bringing her out of her memories. She quickly typed in her room number and waited. There were a few minutes of silence before she heard a quiet knock on the hotel room door. She looked at the clock once and smiled at how punctual Wynne still was.
She got up to answer and opened the door, finding Wynne with a somber look on her face.
“Hi,” Anastasia said with a small smile..
“Hi,” she replied.
“You didn’t bring James along?”
Wynne sighed. “I thought this conversation needed to take place without an audience.”
Ana nodded, knowing it was for her own benefit. She motioned for Wynne to come into the room. When she neared the
