Bound by the CEO’s Baby By Sun Scar Chapter 33
Chapter 33
Anastasia watched as the man who had wanted nothing to do with her, joined her son in the bouncy castle. She watched as Damien tried to gain his balance, falling over a few times when Alan tackled him and tickled him. She watched as her son grabbed his father’s large hands in an attempt to help him up.
She watched as Damien gave in to amusement and played without worry. They ran, chased, and fist–bumped.
Ana’s chest ached. It felt like a burn. It wasn’t pleasant. Isn’t that what she wanted? For them to bond? But she could see Alan was getting attached. What would happen if Damien decided he wanted to leave?
Damien grabbed Alan around the waist and threw him into a bouncy before returning to Ana. He fell to the bench beside her, a wide grin on his face.
“I haven’t had so much fun in a long time,” he laughed. “Do you get in there with him?”
She nodded. “More often than not. But those kids scare me. They can be ruthless when they want.” Ana bit her lip. “Should we head out for lunch? Or do you want to play some more?” she teased.
“Funny,” he said, rolling his eyes. “How do you get him out.”
Anastasia smirked. “Alan! It’s Mac and Cheese time!”
It took one second for Alan to appear beside them.
“Have you had enough?” Damien laughed.
Alan shook his head vigorously as he put on his shoes.
“He got them on the wrong feet,” Damien whispered as they were walking out of the door. His eyes were fixed on Alan’s feet.
“Yup. Nothing we can do about it,” she said casually.
“Mamma… Mommy mommaaaaaaa… Pweaaaaase!”
“One more bite and you can go.”
Alan stuffed another messy spoon of mac and cheese into his mouth. He chewed quickly and opened his mouth to show her he had swallowed. “Now?”
Ana tilted her mouth. “Gross, Alan.” She wiped his mouth with the back of her hand. “Go.” She turned her attention back to her own food.
Alan was gone for less than a minute before Damien spoke up. “Yes.”
Anastasia lifted her eyes. Her lunch was halfway into her mouth, but it was quickly forgotten. “What?”
“I want to do it.. I don’t need two weeks.
“Really?”
Damien nodded. “I do”
“Are you absolutely sure?” Ana couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Did Damien think he was ready?
“I said I want to do it, Ana.” He sighed. “I know you don’t want anything from me. I know you expect the worst from me and I deserve that. But I will not walk away. I don’t think I could even if you begged me to.” Damien spoke quietly. For once, he was looking directly into her eyes.

“That doesn’t make sense.”
“I want to try If you will let me. I won’t force you
Anastasia nodded and looked over at Alan who was beginning to slow down. It was a sign that he was starting to get tired.
“Of course. I’ll let you. Damien
“I decided to be in Alan’s life,” Damien told Wynne while they worked.
About imme, she said with a small smile. “I knew you would
come around”
“Did you really Damien asked.
Wynne bit her lip. “I should warn you, though. She’s got someone. He’s good to her.”
Damien closed his eyes tightly. “Marcus?”
“Yes”
“I don’t get it. Why would she try to hook up with that dude in the bar if she was dating this Marcus guy?”
“There are friends… Sort of. Neighbors.”
“I don’t understand…”
“They are best friends. Right now, I know Ana doesn’t think of him as a romantic interest, but I don’t know if it will stay that way for long.”
“What do you mean?” Damien whispered.
“Like I said, he is good to her. He is good to Alan. I would venture to say that Marcus probably loves them Anastasia is just dense.” Wynne informed.
Damien felt his stomach knot up.
“They speak almost every day. Marcus asks to speak to Alan on the phone and the little boy lights up every time he hears Marcus‘ name or voice.”
Damien just stared at Wynne.
“Did you know he was the first person she told she was pregnant?” Wynne paused to see her boss‘ reaction “He was the one who took her to her appointments. He was the one who held her hand through her sonogram Do you think a guy does all that for a woman who is carrying someone else’s baby if he is not madly in love with her?”
Damien shoved his hand into his hair. He didn’t want to hear any of this. “How did you know?”
“Anastasia toldne. If you weren’t so busy denying everything and being angry, she would have told you, too. Damien, you have one chance to make it right. You will lose them both if you don’t be careful. If you don’t, you will watch some other man with your family”
Damien watched as Wynne walked out of the office without saying another word
A picture flashed through Damien’s head. A faceless man stood next to Ana with his arms around her waist. She was leaning into him lovingly. He was sliming and Alan was in his arms. Damien could feel his blood draming from his face.
He felt t sick.
He had said yes to being Alan’s father and now, he was sure he couldn’t allow anyone else to take his role as Alan’s dad away.

from him.
At six 111 the evening. Damien bounded out of his office to grab a cup of coffee. He was ordering some food when he felt something hit the back of his legs. His knees buckled and he looked down to see two tiny hands wrapped around the front of his thighs. A head of familiar hair shot through his legs and looked up at him.
Damien laughed loudly.
“Hi. Damien.” Alan grinned.
