Bound by the CEO’s Baby By Sun Scar Chapter 19
Yes, Ana?”
“There’s something I think you need to know.”
Chapter 19
Anastasia stood up and reached out a hand to Damien. He hesitantly took her hand and allowed her to pull him. They were standing inches apart. He hovered over her. Ana was looking up at her and she looked incredibly afraid and sad.
“What is it, Ana?” he asked as he brushed a strand of hair away from her face and tucked it behind her ear. Damien let her palm linger on her jaw and he could feel her tremble.
‘Please, tell me how to make it better, he pleaded.
Anastasia closed her eyes. “Come with me.”
Damien followed her outside the restaurant and then to her house. “Where are we going?” he asked, confused.
Ana didn’t answer at first, but she continued to hold his hand throughout the trip, fearing he would leap out of the car. When they reached the front door of the house, Damien heard voices and giggles.
“Alan’s here?” he asked.
Ana turned to face him and bit her lip. It should have been an alluring gesture if not for the anxiety written all over her face.
“Why is she so anxious? She didn’t even look this way when she was struggling with foreign clients.
Ana nodded. “I think you should meet him.”
“Okay.” He had no idea why, but I really wanted to meet him. From the moment he found out Ana had a little boy, he couldn’t help but picture the child. He imagined that the baby would look just like her. He wondered if the baby was. crawling or walking, or calling her ‘mama.
They reached inside the house. When she led him up the stairs she looked at him with tear–filled eyes. “Damien, I am so very sorry,” she cried sofily.
Damien narrowed his eyes at her. “For what?” he asked and she followed him into a little room. He looked up and saw Ana’s parents sitting on the floor, putting together a puzzle with a little boy. They both looked up at Damien with wariness. Ana’s mother patted the kid on the shoulder and his little head shot up in their direction.
“Hi, Mommy,” he gave a toothy grin.
“Hi, baby,” Ana smiled back at him.
Damien’s heart stopped. This was Alan.
Alan wasn’t a baby. The familiar grayish–green eyes and red hair were stunning. Alan looked exactly like him.
“Fucking hell!” Damien gasped.
“Damien!” Ana scolded.
“Ana?” he croaked. “Please don’t…” Damien couldn’t even finish the sentence. His words got caught in his throat and he was unable to process the scene in front of him. Before his brain kicked in, he felt Ana pull him down the stairs and back out to the garden.
Damien was trying to breathe but he couldn’t do it. His world had stopped and the air was thick. “What was that?” Damien yelled when he could finally fill his lungs with oxygen.
“Damien, I am so sorry,” Ana whimpered.
“Sorry?” he hissed. “Sorry about what, Ana? What exactly are you sorry for?”
Ana stayed quiet and backed away from me.
Chapter 15
“Was that Alan” he asked, a litle quieter.
“Yes,” she whispered.
“How old is be?” When the told him the truth. Damien quickly did the math. He had to count thrice before he finally broke down and used his fingers. Then, reality sunk in
“Why” Please don’t. Please tell me it’s not. Tell me he’s not
Ana bit her lip again. Her cheeks were stained with tears, and her makeup was slowly giving away
“He’s yours. Damien Her voice was so timid that it almost didn’t sound like her. But she was telling him–she had to be
lving
Ha blood boiled in pure, unadulterated fury. He could feel his skin burn. He lashed out before he could do anything. “NO. HES NOT he roared “HE’S NOT FUCKING MINE YOU ARE LYING” He stepped towards her, drawing himself up as tall as he could. He turned to see Ana’s father standing near the house Damien stared at the man, waiting for him to say it was he. But the man looked at him with a pensive expression.
Anger and confusion took over all rational thoughts he might have had. This is what everyone hid from him?
“Why would you do this to me?” he asked, grabbing his hair and tugging at it roughly “Why are you saying this?”
Anastasia was crying, but he didn’t care. “He’s not mine. He’s not mine.” he chanted over and over again. He felt himself rock back and forth on his heels.
“Damen 1-
“No‘ Don’t Don’t say another word to me.” He glared at her “I know what you want. I know you got yourself knocked up so that I would take care of you for the rest of your life. That is not happening. Ana. You’re not getting a dime from me. Go and his real father if you even know who it is
“Mr. Wright, stop,” Ana’s father yelled.
He shook his head “Don’t believe a word she says. That kid is not mine.” There was silence as he walked out of the garden and got into his car He revved the engine before pealing out of the driveway and out of the street
Damien couldn’t think. He didn’t want to think. If he didn’t know any better, he would think he was having a heart attack. All he wanted to do was make the hurt go away. He had no idea where he was going. He had nowhere to go. Everything was tainted by Ana
He ended up in a bar because he needed a drink. He needed to drown himself. But no matter how many drinks he had in him and women throwing themselves at him, he just couldn’t come to think of anything else. He didn’t know how long he sat there. His world grew fuzzier by the minute and he welcomed the numbness.
When he woke up with a raging headache the next morning he imagined all of it was a nightmare.
