Chapter BIT 80

Chapter 80

The next day, Hollywood was abuzz! Becky–Blushoff and her ex–husband, Harvey Specter, were both set to get married to their respective partners on the same day. The news appeared on almost every gossip site, flooding Rebecca’s social media with comments and direct messages.

Rebecca woke up with a mix of emotions, not just because her wedding with Sean was that day, but also because she still struggled to accept that Harvey was truly marrying Alicia. This shattered all her hopeful assumptions that Harvey had disappeared from her and Lily’s lives due to Victoria’s threats.

She looked at Lily and suddenly felt the urge to cry. When she brought her beautiful daughter into the world, she never imagined her life would become this chaotic, especially since Harvey was by her side back then. And today, Lily had to face the reality that her parents would officially part ways and marry other people. “I’m sorry, baby…”

Sensing her mother’s distress, Lily woke up and started crying. “Oh, my baby, you’re awake too?” murmured Rebecca as she bent down and lifted Lily out of the crib. She cradled her and went about her motherly routine as if it were just another normal day. An hour later, there was a knock on her door. She opened it with one hand while holding Lily with the other.

“Morning,” greeted Sean, standing in the doorway with his hair still damp.

Rebecca smiled, “Morning.”

“You haven’t forgotten we’re getting married today, have you?” Sean asked, leaning his head against the doorframe.

Rebecca chuckled, “Of course not. Can you take care of Lily while I get ready?”

“Sure. My mom called earlier and said she’ll go straight to the wedding venue from the hotel, so it’ll be just the three of us,” Sean said, gently taking Lily from Rebecca’s arms.

“Okay, I’ll be ready in an hour, I think,” Rebecca said, grimacing.

“Of course you will be,” Sean replied with a small smile.

Rebecca sat at her vanity, staring at her reflection. For a moment, she felt as if her hands were too heavy to lift the makeup brush. But then she remembered the supportive

messages from her fan group who believed in her. She took a deep breath, stood up. and set up her camera on a tripod.

“Maybe this is the right time to come back, Rebecca whispered. She took a deep breath and pressed the record button.

Thirty minutes later, she finished her makeup and hairdo and ended the recording. She felt relieved, finally feeling like herself again.

“I’m ready,” Rebecca announced, standing behind Sean, who was playing with Lily. Sean turned around, unable to hide his admiration. Just one word: stunning,” he said, smiling.

“Really? That’s good. Okay, you should get changed,” Rebecca said, sitting on the sofa and smiling at Lily in her bouncer.

Sean nodded and went to his room, returning a few minutes later in his tuxedo.

“Sorry, it’s a bit crooked, Rebecca said, standing up to adjust his tie.

Sean cleared his throat nervously. Thanks,” he said, looking closely at Rebecca, finally realizing how beautiful she was

“Okay, let’s get married!” Rebecca exclaimed, lifting Lily from the bouncer and heading towards the door, with Sean carrying Lily’s diaper bag and bottle behind her.

As they stepped out of the condo, Rebecca was startled by the swarm of paparazzi around their car. “How did they find out where we live?” Rebecca hissed.

“I don’t know, just cover Lily’s face and don’t let them take any pictures of her. She’s just a baby, for God’s sake,” Sean grumbled angrily.

“Hi, Becky! Did you know your ex–husband is also getting married today?” one of the paparazzi shouted, aiming his camera at Rebecca’s face.

“Sorry, we’re in a hurry.” Rebecca replied, quickly getting into the car and securing Lily in her car seat. “Just drive, Sean. I’ll stay back here.” Rebecca said, unwilling to step out again with the paparazzi surrounding them.

“Okay,” Sean honked the horn, urging them to move, but one of the paparazzi hit the car’s hood hard, nearly causing Sean to lose his temper.

“Don’t, Sean! Just drive, please!” Rebecca pleaded. “I don’t know, but Alicia must have

slipped a few of her people among them, she muttered, clenching her fists.

They arrived at the church a few minutes later, finding a large crowd outside.

Who are these people?” Rebecca asked, almost sure she didn’t recognize anyone in the crowd.

Sean shook his head, equally puzzled.

“Guys!” Cassie suddenly appeared in a lilac dress. “The guests are already filling up the room. Oh, Becky, you look absolutely stunning and perfect!” Cassie gushed sincerely.

“Do I? Where’s Angela?” Rebecca asked, taking Lily out of her car seat.

“Angela’s inside. She invited a lot of her friends, Cassie whispered, stifling a laugh.

“These people?” Rebecca asked, eyeing the crowd filling the church yard.

Cassie nodded. “Your mother–in–law invited many community members because she knew you didn’t have many people to invite. Come on, this way,” she said, guiding Rebecca to another part of the church where Angela finally appeared, smiling broadly. “Thank God, I thought you changed your mind,” Angela chirped cheerfully.

Rebecca and Sean winced. They were both surprised by the unexpected number of guests, which made Rebecca a bit uncomfortable since they were all strangers.

“Mom, did you really have to invite so many people?” Sean asked, reading Rebecca’s thoughts.

Angela winced, “Um, wouldn’t it look sad if no one showed up? Besides, they’re all from valid communities. Just don’t think about it,” she said, waving her hand dismissively.

Rebecca sighed deeply, feeling a bit disappointed and fearful of bringing Lily into a place filled with strangers. “Becky dear, you should get ready. I’ll take care of Lily,” Angela said, reaching out to take Lily, but Rebecca stepped back, holding Lily tightly.

“I can’t…”
