“Come here.” Rebecca took Cassie’s hand and led her inside.

“Don’t blame yourself, dear. You’ve done your job; it’s okay,” Angela said, having

listened to the conversation between Rebecca and Cassie..

“I don’t know, I should have done something, but I was so scared. I’m sorry,” Cassie said, half–crying. Rebecca rubbed Cassie’s back, “I can find another dress; there’s still time. Sit down, I’ll get you a cold beer,” she said gently.

Sean nodded at Cassie, encouraging her to sit on the sofa. Cassie wiped her tears and sat down hesitantly.

“Here, take a sip, and you’ll feel better,” Rebecca said, handing her a cold beer she had just opened.

“So, let’s go find another dress,” Sean suggested casually. Rebecca shook her head, surprising everyone. “I’ll order it online. Going to a bridal store will attract attention, and that’s the last thing I want,” she said, taking a deep breath.

“You’re right, dear, but don’t you still need to do a fitting?” Angela interjected carefully.

Cassie cleared her throat, “Um, I can help with the size. I’m kind of good at it,” she said, – still looking down at the carpet beneath her feet.

Rebecca’s face lit up instantly, “You’re right! Wait, I’ll get my iPad!” She hurried to her room and returned shortly with the iPad in her hand.

“Mom, can you hold Lily for a bit? I’ll prepare lunch,” Sean said to Angela. Meanwhile, Rebecca and Cassie were busy choosing a dress and discussing the right size for Rebecca.

“Girls, lunch!” Sean called, arranging burgers and fries on the kitchen island. Luckily, he had bought extra so that Cassie could have her share.

“Sean, I found the dress! This one, what do you think?” asked Rebecca, showing Scan the iPad’s screen. Sean nodded excitedly, “That will look good on you. Well, I mean everything looks good on you,” he said casually. Rebecca smiled slightly, feeling that Sean would always agree with all her choices, and she was sure that this would make their marriage smooth without conflict.

After ordering the wedding dress, which would be delivered immediately, Rebecca sat on a stool with Cassie and Sean, while Angela chose to keep Lily company as she was still full from a plate of waffles for breakfast.

“Just call me Becky, please,” Rebecca interrupted, chewing on french fries in her mouth.

Cassie cleared her throat, “Yeah, Becky, um, you might not know this, but I joined your fan group, and we all believe in you. None of us believe anything your friend posted about you,” she said cautiously.

Rebecca quickly sipped her drink, talking about Cathy made her very uncomfortable because she had been a part of her life.

“Thanks, Cassic, but what did you just say? Fan group?” Rebecca asked, trying to change the subject.

Cassie nodded, her smile widening. She reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. She quickly scrolled and showed a chat group named Becky’s Brush on her phone.

Rebecca stared in shock, “Becky’s Brush? That’s sweet! Can I Only if you allow me, of course,” she said, shrugging.

“Are you kidding me? Of course, you can, just read it,” Cassie said, handing her phone to Rebecca. Sean just listened to their conversation while enjoying his burger, occasionally smiling to support Rebecca.

Rebecca bit her lip, turning to look at Sean. “She has a point, just make a video and send it to the group chat, and they’ll be thrilled.”

“Okay then, I’ll record it,” Rebecca decided. Finally, with Cassie’s help, she made a thank–you video that was immediately sent to the group chat, and the reaction was

beyond her expectations. They were all very excited and flooded the group chat with support, making Rebecca feel much better.

“Cassie, thank you so much. You’ve really opened my eyes that there are still people who stay by my side until the end,” Rebecca said sincerely.

Cassie smiled widely, “Only fools believe Alicia, but Becky-”

“Yes?” Rebecca looked at Cassie seriously.

Cassie cleared her throat softly. “I think you should start being more active on your social media and use your platform to fight back. I mean, we’ll support you more if you try your best to show that you’re the right one,” she said, finishing her words with difficulty.

Rebecca nodded hesitantly. Honestly, she had just thought about disappearing from social media for a while, but Cassie’s words really opened her eyes. “I will,” she said.

Just twenty minutes after they finished lunch, the wedding dress Rebecca ordered arrived. “Let’s do the fitting!” Cassie exclaimed, looking more excited than the bride–to- bé.

“You have very good taste. I mean, look at this! Tomorrow the internet will be buzzing!” Cassie said, helping Rebecca adjust the wedding dress she was trying on..

Shortly afterward, Sean and Angela appeared smiling broadly because Rebecca looked stunning. “You will be the best bride of the year,” Sean said sincerely.

Rebecca winced, not used to such praise from Sean’s mouth, but Angela and Cassie were busy teasing her.

After that, they gathered again in the living room and discussed tomorrow’s wedding reception.

“Becky, can I help? With anything, I mean you can use my services for free,” Cassie said eagerly.
