Chapter 1136 Bart and Haiden Five (1)
"What do you mean the goods are missing?"
Haiden received a call early in the morning. When he hurried to the company, Gerald and Valery were both in the office.
"Sorry, there is a problem with our logistics." Valery looked at Haiden and apologized sincerely, "I will go to the factory and investigate the situation tonight. I will answer you at the latest tomorrow. Is that okay?" Haiden turned on his computer and said to Gerald as he dealt with the email, "Go book the tickets. We'll go to the factory tonight."
"What about Valery...?" Gerald asked hesitantly.
Haiden looked up at Valery who was standing there. "We can continue to cooperate with your company if we can find the goods back. But it will be the last cooperation if we can't."
"Sorry, it's our responsibility," Valery apologized again.
Gerald went out to book a ticket. When he passed by Valery, he said to her, "You can go back. Our boss will handle this matter. You don't need to participate. Besides, you are a girl, it is inconvenient." "You can't deny my ability just because I'm a woman," Valery said solemnly.
Gerald was speechless and quickly went to book the tickets.
The three of them met in the same car that night. Haiden glanced at Gerald, who lowered his head and pretended to check his phone.
The goods were lost in Ristia. City Q was about six hours away from Ristia. There was still a waterway on the way. There was no airport and it was inconvenient to drive. Otherwise, Haiden would like to drive there by himself.
When they arrived at the service area to have meals, Valery stood in the wind, took a piece of bread from her bag and started to eat.
After Haiden and Gerald finished their meal and came out, Valery had already gotten into the car. Other than that piece of bread, she did not eat any hot food.
"You go first." After finishing talking to Gerald, Haiden turned around and went to buy a cob of corn, two meat buns, and a cup of black tea.
Valery sat in her seat with her bag in her arms. Her eyes looked out of the window. She wore a capable black office suit today. Before she got in the car, her hair was tied up behind her head. She probably sat in the car for a long time and felt uncomfortable leaning against the back seat. She pulled her hair to one side and tied it up loosely.
Haiden walked over and handed the food to her.
Valery was somewhat flattered. She thought that her company had made a mistake. On the way here, Valery was uneasy and guilty, but she did not expect Haiden to buy food for her.
"You don't like it?" Haiden asked when he saw that she had not reached out to take it.
"Thank you." Valery quickly took it.
The man who was originally sitting next to Valery thought that they knew each other when he saw Haiden talking to Valery. He found another seat after entering.
When Haiden looked up, he saw that there was already a man sitting next to Gerald. He looked around and only the back row had an empty seat. There were already four people sitting on the side, and only a seat by the window was left.
He thought for a moment, looked down at Valery and asked, "Can I sit here?"
"Sure." Valery turned around and saw Gerald waving at her.
After Haiden sat down, Valery apologized in a low voice, "Sorry."
"It has nothing to do with you." What I said this morning wasn't aimed at you. Don't worry," said Haiden as he opened his phone to look at his email.
Andrew was a person who didn't do as usual. He didn't reply to the email and directly added Haiden on WeChat. He sent Haiden a dozen emojis to apologize on WeChat and said that he had already fired the logistics manager of the factory in Ristia.
Haiden didn't understand how a smart person like Bruno could have such a son.
Bart sent him a sumptuous dinner on WeChat.
Recently, her new boyfriend always cooked meals for her. And she would show off to him.
Haiden gave a good reply and locked his phone.
His shoulders sank. He tilted his head to look. Valery was already asleep. Her entire head was leaning against his shoulder. She woke suddenly with a start. She quickly sat up and leaned against the window. The car bumped its way and every time she leaned against the window, her head hit the car window.
She was probably extremely exhausted. She was still leaning against the window and gently closing her eyes in such a bumpy drive.
Haiden reached out and gently pushed her head to his shoulder.
Valery opened her eyes and was about to sit up. But Haiden said, "It's fine. Just sleep. You'll be busy later."
Valery didn't move again. She thanked him softly and closed her eyes, but she didn't fall asleep.
At nine o'clock in the evening, the three of them finally got to Ristia by ship.
Because it was very late, the staff of the logistics company had already gotten off work. So Haiden decided that they would rest for a night and come directly to the logistics company tomorrow morning.
Gerald found a relatively high-end hotel in Ristia. But it can't even compare with a two-star hotel. Probably because there were very few tourists coming, the hotels here closed down one after another. The only hotel that could be maintained was also full of arrogance because they couldn't find another hotel to live in.
