Bear Fights For Donna: Book 4: Dark Rider MC Series

Chapter 4: Cherokee Has Texas Try To Find Information On Donna

I stood up and walked over to the bar. With my back to the room, I said, Texas go see what you can dig up on Donna. Come let me know and print what you find off. I took the beers and carried them back to the table. I handed everyone a beer and sat down.

I watched Texas walk down the hall toward my office. In the office, Texas looked up what he could about Donna. Dam she is good at hiding. I can't find a dam thing on her. I looked in police records and hospital records. I could find nothing. The last thing I could find was her leaving this club then she ceased to exist.

I walked out and called Cherokee over and told him what I did find about Donna. What do you mean it is as if she has ceased to exist. Just that. No bank records, no driving records, no phone number or addresses. Nothing. Just her living here. That is impossible. I am telling I can't find a dam thing.

I guess we have to be smart and see if she lets something slip up. I walked over and sat down. Donna, you said you own a Tattoo Shop? Yes, I do. What's the name of it? I was ready for this. I said the Sphere Tattoo Shop. What town? It's in New York I said. I knew the owner and the people working there. They knew if someone calls to tell them yes, I owned it but no I am out of town and no we can't give you her phone number or address.

I saw Texas writing it down and grinned. I looked at the clock and told them I had to go. I will see you the next time at the hospital. I walked out without looking at Bear and got on my bike riding out of the club and home.

I called the tattoo shop and warned them they may get a phone call and put the plan in place then I hung up the phone. I locked the door and windows. I have central air. I then walked out to the garage and put New Your City license plates on the trailer. I put the real ones in the truck under the seat. Once I was out of town I would pull over at the first rest stop and change the plates.

I watched Donna's face but she gave nothing away. Why do I think that she was lying? She doesn't want us to find her. I don't think she lives in New York City for some reason. My gut is telling me different. She may live out of state but not there.

I sat down after she walked out of the club. It seems like you do not exist to her Bear. You got that, did you? I don't know what you said to make her leave but you were a fool to let her walk away. I was stupid Cherokee, I know that. I can't even explain to her why I said what I did. She ignores me as if I do not exist.

Well, I don't know what to tell you but something is not right where she is concerned. Tell me something I don't know. She does not give anything away. Her emotions are cold and her expressions are the same. It is as if she received training of some kind. It is strange.

Texas came back and said she owns the tattoo shop in New York City but I cannot find any address for her there. No driving record no personal bank accounts. Fuck Cherokee this does not make any sense. Keep digging. Alright, but where? Every dam city and state I don't care.

I looked at Dove and said let us go to bed. Our little one needs rest. We walked up the stairs to our bedroom and once in I shut and locked the door. Cherokee why are you investigating Donna? I don't like the change in her. She seems so fucking cold

You do know that when Bear is here she does not stay as long. It is as if she will break if she stays any longer. You don't see it but you feel it. I noticed. I don't want to think about it anymore. Let's go to sleep. You know that our little one will arrive in one more month. I know. I also will finish the nursery tomorrow.

Our baby is going to have the best nursery in this club. Yes, he or she is. I turned the lights off and pulled Dove into my arms. Good night baby, I said kissing her and her belly. I closed my eyes and was soon asleep.
