Awakening The Unknown

Chapter Unknown 27

WREN

__________

Seeing my precious Mate crying so much, it did something to my heart. Holding her in my arms, wiping away her tears, it made my heart ache with vengeance.

I will kill them.

All of them.

Her Alpha and his pathetic excuse of a daughter.

The people who look down on her and her family like the scum of the Earth. They will all die in her name.

I will protect her, her family, and her dreams. As long as she wants me to do so.

Kash and I made an agreement to protect her and her friends she has. They all need our protection, they all hold value to their existence.

Unlike me, I don't even belong to this realm of beings. As a Demon and as a Revolutionary, I am a danger to all that I am around.

My father, Asmodeus, is a Demon Prince. My mother Margo, was an Alpha, a rare gem in her old pack. She was among the best of the best.

A true queen.

My mother was strong indeed. She attracted the attention of the Demon Prince and bore two boys into the world. A true warrior, yet she was a female. Most wouldn't expect that from a woman.

A girl.

A being so strong that men crumbled at her feet.

My beloved Mate.

She was the same. She is strong, she may not control her powers. But she was making progress in using them to her advantage in battle.

Still, I needed to keep her to myself for a while longer. I don't think it was a good ideas to be here to talk about our life stories and what not. Mate seems upset about her past and I don't want her to explain something she doesn't want to.

Anais already told me that there is another time for us to complete our mating bond. In about a month from now. There would be another moon for us to do what needs to be done.

Looking at my Mate now, I see that she is still shaken up by the traumatic experience of her past. I hold her to my chest tighter and rain kisses upon her head.

No child should have had to have gone through that. Neither her or Kash had to go through the pain of being abused. I heard her sniffle and felt her hand move from around me to wipe under her eyes. I know that we need to spend five more days together doing this. But I know we could do this in two. I know more about her than she knows.

"Mate," I say.

"Yeah, Wren?" She sniffled again wiping the remaining tears from under her eyes.

"After theses few days, are you sure that you want to go through with this?" I ask.

I wanted to make sure that she is ready for this as much as I am. I want her under me whining and begging for me, but I have to consider her feelings towards me and this situation.

"I don't think you would want to go through with it actually." She says.

I furrowed my brows at her. "Why would you think that?"

"I'm not worth it." She whispers under her breath.

"What do mean?" Why would she ever think that?

"You know what's sad?" She bitterly laughed. I shook my head no and she laughed again. The broken sound made me hold her closer as she began to lean away.

"What are you talking about?" I ask utterly confused at what she said.

"I never should have let you go down on me. I haven't mastered my allusion making yet, but it worked so well on you that day." She admits quietly.

"What are you saying?" I ask again.

What did she mean by 'allusion making'?

"I made you see what I wanted you to see that day." She paused and sniffled again.

"I made you see my original self, what I had looked like before..." more tears fell from her eyes as she croaked those heart shattering words.

"Mate," I pull her away at arms length and examine her face as she wept.

"I'm so sorry that I d-didn't t-tell you before, Wren." She cried even harder. "It was one of his punishments. He did it, right in front of Kash." She said.

My entire being went still. I can't jump to conclusions right now, I have to let her explain, before I try to slaughter anyone.

"Mate?" I growl out. My body went rigid and my hands shook.

"What did he do?" Don't let it be that.

Anything, but that.

"Kash t-tried to help me, but he couldn't move fast enough. The Alpha," she wiped her tears and cleared her throat.

"He raped me, Wren. Then he tried to get to Kash, but Beta Ryan stopped him before he got the chance. My heart shattered to pieces.

Rage unlike any other coursed through my veins.

"What happened after?" I said with a deathly calm voice. I heard Mate's whimpers and cried that I calmed down.

Words will never be enough to calm me down.

I couldn't believe that he did such a thing to an innocent girl. Then to make it worse, it was done in front of her brother before he tried himself on him.

"Why didn't Kash kill him then?" I turn my head after trying to calm my breathing.

"After that, Kash was sedated with the same power stealing elixir that was used on me that day I was being whipped for putting everyone to sleep. He was put into a silver cage laced with wolfs bane in the bars." She shook her head.

"There was no way of getting out." She cried again.

I will revenge for her, Kash.

I promise.

"What were you accused of doing to make him do that to you, Mate?" I was seething in hatred and anger. I could feel the electricity bubbling inside of me, waiting to shock the life out of the disgusting man.

"I went swimming." She whispered.

"With a 'revealing' one-piece swimsuit. I guess you could see all of my scarring." She looked as if she was dulling away.

"What do you mean scarring?" I've never seen any scarring on her body before.

"I was wearing very expensive water resistant makeup and for the larger scars, and used my allusions." She admits, wrapping a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I want to see the real you." I announce.

"I want to see you without the makeup and allusions." I demand. Her eyes darted away and she shook her head.

"There really isn't anything that different." She gave a dry chuckle.

"He strayed from my face, so at least that's the same." She shook her head and ran a hand through her hair.

What was she so scared of showing me?

What did he do to her body?

I walk closer to her and reach out a hand.

"Please." My eyes pleading with her. Those once bright dark blues that had swirling greens and purple dusting about in them were now dull.

Lost of light.

They were lifeless.

She slowly nodded her head and turned her back to me. She removed her tank top over her head and dropped it to the floor. She unclasped her bra and snapped tightened her fists as her aura surrounded her.

Fiery orange and bright blazing red clashed together with hints of gold and black flowing together in the perfect harmony. The most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

These eyes have never seen Mate transform almost completely, only the Revolutionary eyes have seen this true beauty. The smooth skin of her back had shifted and warped. Dark reddish brown slits of skin littered from the top of her shoulders down to bottom of her hips.

The recent whipping marks were still there but were healed. I wonder what made all of those other scars stay on her skin and not heal.

Did he use the elixir on her again while he beat her?

Did he use something entirely different?

I looked further and stepped closer to the edge of the bed to reach a hand out. She flinched slightly when my finger delicately traces the outline of her whipping marks. My hand fell to her arms, my eyes looking at the old bruising that still lingers on her softly tanned skin.

Such a beauty should never have been hurt this way. At the end of the day she was still beautiful, used for her body and destroyed by dirty hands of the monster she has to bow her head down to.

She was still perfect in every way.

These scars showed how she had lived through hard times and most importantly...

How she survived.

"Do you understand now, Wren?" She croaked. Her head turned to the side cloaked under her dark and highlighted locks that have become slightly waved.

Her aura still wrapped protectively around her body.

"I understand how utterly imperfectly perfect you are, my beautiful Mate." I turn her body towards mine.

Her tear stained freckled cheeks, her scarred bare chest, her scratched stomach.

All signs of survival.

All signs of the strife that she's had to endure.

I scoop her up into my arms and hold her to my chest once again today. One arm wrapped around her stomach, the other, wrapped its way around her shoulders bringing her head to mine.

"I will find you beautiful, gorgeous, extravagant, and extraordinary in my eyes. Do want to know why?" I mumble against her lips.

"Why would you find this beautiful? I'm broken and used, so why, Wren? Tell me." She whispered. Tears began to roll down her cheeks all over again and reminded me to kill the bastard who put them there in the first place.

I wonder if her father knows. What would happen if he found out that his Alpha had done the most unforgivable thing to his only daughter.

I bet his Lycan would be up from dormancy then. He would destroy everything in sight. I smirked at my thoughts, her father and I would definitely make the pair in battle.

Now back to my Mate.

"I find you beautiful because you are one of the strongest females I have ever met in my lifetime." I admit to her. Her eyes snapped open to gaze deeply into mine.

"W-what?" Her voice broke into a whisper once again.

I smiled at her and shook my head. "Do you not know how beautiful you are? Your soft tanned skin," I brush my thumb against her hip.

"Your adorable freckled cheeks," a hand brushed her growing tears away.

"Your bright personality," I say squeezing her.

"Especially your innocence." I whisper into her ear. Feeling her body slightly shiver upon hearing my voice made me smirk.

"You don't mean that." She accused with a shaky breath.

I kissed the side of her neck, kissing all the down to her collar bone.

"What do you mean that I don't mean it?" I ask in a deeper toned voice.

"Wren, we cant do anything like this until the s-sixth day." She craned her head to the side as she stuttered. As she allowed me access to her neck more, she placed a hold on my shoulders to steady herself.

"We can't have sex until the sixth day, we were never told that we can't do other things." I tell her.

She shook her head and I growled in response.

"Wren we actually can't even be touching like this." She breathed out.

"What do you mean we can't be touching like this?" I growled out against her neck. She pushed my shoulders back a bit to gaze into my hungry eyes again.

"We have to learn to connect without having to be intimate all the time." She huffed out. She ran a hand through her dark but highlighted locks.

"I think us being close like this and spilling our secrets will be more effective." I wrap an arm around her waist and pull he close. She gasped and took the opportunity to kiss her. My lips landing on hers with force, the connection sparking my own powers to life.

Her fiery aura still wrapped around her like a heated sheath. Hiding the raw, broken beauty beneath.

My own powers began to make an appearance. The bright crackling of lightning wrapped around my arms and up to my shoulders and torso. Soon my entire body was succumbed to the electrical sparks. By now my eyes should have the lightning in them too, the deep crimson red color surrounded by the smoldering black lining my irises.

"What other way shall we get to know each other if not my touching, Mate?" My voice grew deeper. She shivered against my body as I held her closer.

"Why do you talk like that, Wren?" The random question floated through my mind.

"What do mean by that?" I ask in response.

"You speak using proper English and it's actually the 21st century. I just find it funny, regular Wren talks like a normal teenage boy, now you speak in the old ways." She giggled. A sound I wanted to hear more of.

"I guess that's because my Demon side comes from ancient demon, I guess I speak like my old man." I laugh with her.

"Wren?" She calls out.

"Yes, Mate?"

"Why do you call me Mate instead of my real name?" She tilted her head slightly as she asked.

"When I'm in this state, I forget about a lot of things. Especially names. I only call you what I know," I grasp her cheek in my hand and tilted her head up to meet my eyes.

"That you, are my Mate. So, tell me what your name is." I tell her.

She sighs and runs a hand through her brown locks.

"My name is Kassidy Grayson. I told you this earlier and you still call me Mate." She pouted.

I chuckled at her, she really doesn't understand.

"Okay, Kassidy" the name sounds unnatural on my tongue. By the look on her face, she doesn't like the way it sounds either.

"Yeah, it doesn't sound that great coming from you. Just stick to calling me, Mate." She laughs, I joined her in laughter as we held each other.

"Tell me more about you, Mate" I suggest. She nods her head and sighs happily.

"I have this really great mate named Wren. He has two sides to him, one cold and the other is electrifying. I like both of his sides." She smiles.

"That was about someone else, not you." I chuckled.

"That was about someone who has a special place in my life. Also, I have an incredible family and friends. I have a twin brother, he's just like me. Just...a boy," she giggled.

"What else?" I wanted to know her inside and out, and I have four more days of getting to know her.

"Well," she tapped her chin as if she was thinking on it. "I want to become a Studio Artist. I also love science, especially stuff that has to do with the universe and space. It's my dream to be a scientist with the humans. It's not easy being a scientist in the supernatural world." She gives a small smile.

"Favorite color?" I ask as she sits on the bed, leaning her back against the headboard. I join her on the other side.

"I love the color black, especially with glow in the dark colors. It's beautiful." She smiles to herself.

"Favorite movie?" I ask.

"Easy, Nightmare Before Christmas." She shouts fisting her hands into the air like she scored.

I couldn't help but book at the beautiful creature with admiration. Once this is all over I'll take her on a proper date.

She deserves it.

"Who is your favorite person in the world." I ask.

"My dad." She smiles.

"Why is that?" I raise an eyebrow. I thought I would be her favorite since I'm her mate.

"My dad is strong. He takes on all of the suffering that we have to go through and does his best to make it better. Mom is great too, but dad is the one who holds us all together and no one could ever take his place. He's my best friend." She says.

"You really admire him, don't you?" I ask.

"Of course I do. He may not know about- that." Her eyes darkened a bit.

"But he does know about all of the other torture that Kash and I endured. He went to the Alpha and demanded a fight. He only took a loss because the Alpha used his rank against him. Every wolf bows down to their Alpha, no matter what kind power they hold. And I'm pretty sure they've been doping my dad with that elixir junk." She was right about that.

Wolves are the most loyal, even when the pack leaders may be corrupt.

We need to change that.

"Well, if he was able to fight him the first place, then how did the Alpha use his dominant rank?" I wondered out loud.

"I think that my dad's Lycan wolf was helping against that dominance. But the part of him that was was a delta was overpowered by the Alpha." She shrugged her shoulders.

"That makes sense." I respond.

"What time is it?" She asked with furrowed brows. I look over to the clock on the wall.

"It's six o'clock." I tell her.

"Well I already know a lot about your past. Remember, you told me about how you grew up, and about your real parents?" She says.

"Can I tell you more tomorrow, Mate?" I yawned. I didn't get enough sleep and I wanted her in my arms as I slept.

"Sure." Was all she said as I grabbed and pulled her to my chest. She pulled the soft blanket over us and we fell into the comforts of sleep.

I just wonder what's happening back on Earth.
