Chapter 65
Chapter 65
Nikolay:
Flashback:
I walked inside the house, my chest aching as I knew that I had played my wife.
The woman didn’t deserve this. I knew that she didn’t.
She just gave birth after struggling. It was hard for her to do so, and now that she had our children, I hurt her again.
They were two months old, she hit labor early, I was the reason behind it.
She was laying on the floor beside their bassinets. It was where I would find her lately.
“Katerina.” I called, breaking her train of thoughts. I couldn’t blame her for her fear. They have been here for two days after spending their first two months in incubators. “You need to get some sleep.”
“I am not tired.” She said, not looking at me. She rarely ever looked at me.
I walked toward her and put both my hands on her shoulders, wanting to help her stand, but she flinched, not wanting me to touch her.
“I could have lost them,” she said, moving away from me. She didn’t look at me, it was the first time she’s spoken more than two words to me since she found out. The blood that I saw that day scared the life out of me. I didn’t even know how I managed to get her to the hospital. I just knew that I was scared.
“Alaria…”
“You want to play your games, go on ahead. You can choose to screw every woman that would spread her legs for you and I give you my fucking word, I don’t give a damn. You can rot in hell with these mistresses of yours.” Katerina said, stopping me. “However, you are going to keep our reputation, our kids reputation, and MY reputation intact. Do whatever it is that you want, fucking away from me, is that clear, Nikolay…?”
End of Flashback.
I looked at my kids for a second, smiling when I saw them entering the house from their daycare.
Katerina was against the fact of me taking them to a daycare, but she was more relaxed now that they were there. They gathered with friends their ages, and they learned the etiquette that we wanted them to acquire, even at a younger age.
“Daddy!” Bianca called, and I smiled. I wrapped my arms around her, carrying her in my arms. Andrew ran toward me, and I hugged him to my chest, and he smiled.
“Where is mama?” Andrew asked. He was used to Katerina being in front of the door to see them when they first walked inside the house. She chose to stay in the room when we walked inside the house.

“Your mama is here,” Katerina said, smiling. Her smile reached her eyes and I took a step back, knowing that she didn’t want me beside her. She looked at both the kids, and I watched as they spoke to her, telling her about their day despite being barely able to speak properly; she listened to them intently.
“Well, it seems to me that you two had an eventful day.” Katerina said, speaking at last. I stood, watching in silence. Katerina didn’t even spare me a glance. Her attention was completely on the kids.
“YES!” Bianca said, and Katerina smiled. She fiddled with her bag, and Katerina laughed before pulling it from her back. She handed it to her, watching as our baby girl opened it. “I d–drew this, mama.”
She handed her a small paper, and Katerina’s eyes brightened as she smiled. It was a picture of a woman and two children, well, if I was to count sticks and circles as bodies and heads. Hair was drawn on the circles and each eye was bigger than the other as a big smile was inside the circle. A square with a triangle was in the background and I figured that it was the house.
“This is you, me, and Andrew.” Bianca explained, pointing at the three figures. “A–And this is our house!”
“No daddy?” Katerina asked, shaking her head in question.
“Yes!” She said, extending her finger to the far end of the picture. There was a black figure standing beside the house. “This is daddy.”
“It’s a beautiful picture,” Katerina said, and Bianca’s eyes lit up as she smiled. Her smile was bright, but I had to admit, I couldn’t find myself returning the smile. I just chose to nod and take a step back.
“I’ll be in my office if you need anything. There’s a few things that I have to take care of.” I said, and Katerina nodded. She didn’t even bother asking me to stay, and I couldn’t help but frown in confusion at that. Normally, she would have told me that lunch would be served in a bit. We were going to be ordering takeout today since I knew that she wouldn’t want to cook.
Katerina stood up from the ground and I watched as she put her hands on the kids backs, motioning for them to go inside. Their maids rushed to their side, taking their hands as they guided them up the stairs while Katerina walked toward me.
“I think that the picture was enough proof that you’ve been distant with these children. Now, rather than playing the act of being angry, I suggest that you come and join us for lunch.” She said, keeping her eyes on mine. I rolled my eyes and wrapped my hand around her arm, pulling her to the hallway, away from the front door.
My grip was firm, but I knew that it wouldn’t hurt her.
“What game are you trying to play? Are you feeding these kids lies to…”
“Lies?” Katerina asked, stopping me. “I believe that it is you who is a liar here. I told you, keep your dirty work outside my house’s door, and I am not going to comment. The two of us are NEVER going to be real again.”
“Considering that you were open to me touching you….”

“I am loyal, something that you are not. But even I have needs to be tended to, luckily, I have fingers that I can use to help and a few dildos can take your place any day at this point.” She said, making my eyes
harden. “Now come on, I think that you should eat something before you make your way to your next mistress. God knows how many of those you have until now…”
