Theo’s P.O.V. (Continued) 

“Marcus‘ blood…. all of 

you… Victoria, you and Adam have his blood mixed with your blood, right? L… I can get blood from your bodies,” I proposed in an anxious tone. She shook her head negatively while looking at me with a painful gaze. 

“No…. o… our bodies are now under the spell…. our blood won’t do any help, but it can deteriorate our conditions,” she told me in a choked tone. She was looking so weak and helpless that it made me infuriated. 

“Calm down, Theo…. anger will never help here…. you have to keep your mind so that you can think about a solution.” I gave a pep talk to me while thinking about anyone else. “Wh… what about your mother? Marcus injected his blood inside you‘ through her.” I asked her again when I remembered about our queen. 

“We don’t have so much time, Theo,” she said in a crying tone this time. Tears are now streaming down like a waterfall. “Yo… you should go back now. It’s my end now,” she continued, but I shook my head negatively. 

“There is no way that I will let you die like this, my love….. ju… just stay strong… I will find a way,” I replied to her in a gentle tone, trying to comfort her. My mind. was now racing a marathon to find a solution as soon as possible. 

“Theo… you have to reject us.” I stopped breathing, and Thunder growled in anger when we heard Crystal. I slowly looked at her in disbelief. How could she say this. to me? She was still crying silently while looking at me with a painful gaze. 

“I am dying, Theo…. I.. I don’t want you to die with me… I… I love you so much th.. that I want you to live your life even if you have to live with me…. fo… for this, you have to reject me and Luna… th.. this is the only way that you can save yourself from death,” she said in a painful voice while taking hiccups. 

I felt that someone had squeezed my heart tightly. Thunder also howled in pain. I could feel Luna’s pain too. I was now staring at her with pain and hurt. She kept on crying while looking at me helplessly and in pain. 

“I am not going to give up, love….. we both will grow old together. I comforted her in a determined and gentle tone while looking at her affectionately. “Melissa is ant intelligent witch. I am sure that she will find a way very soon.” I continued saying comforting words to her while thinking about what to do next. 

She shook her head negatively once again. “There is no other way to dispel it, Theo. Tha…. That red–eyed man is also connected to this….. our deaths will give 

him immense power….. it will be the end of our peaceful world, Theo….. I don’t want this… your rejection will weaken both me and Luna, and we are willing to pass our powers to you before dying…. just do this for everyone’s sake, love… just do this,” she replied to me but her words infuriated me once again. 

“I said that I will not give up on you… and this is the end of the discussion,” I scolded her while gritting my teeth. She lowered her head and covered her face with her hands while crying bitterly. 

“There must be a way to save them… save them first and then we will think about how to deal with that red–eyed man. He is now getting on my nerves and I will personally find him after this,” Thunder grumbled angrily, trying to suppress his 

anger. 

Suddenly a bulb lit in my mind when I remembered something. “Nelson….. your father!‘ I exclaimed in excitement. She immediately looked at me in confusion. “What about him?” she asked me in a confused tone. 

“He…. he… I remembered he once told us that he also experimented on himself with Marcus‘ blood,” I told her what I recalled in an exciting tone. I felt relieved. when I say a ray of hope shining in her eyes now. 

“He… he is also your biological father… I am sure that both I and Nelson can do something together to save you and rest of them.” I said further in the same excited tone. A small hopeful smile appeared on her l*ps this time. 

“Yo… you have to hurry, Theo… I am losing my strength… we … we don’t have much time.” she said to me in a hurried tone. I gave him an assuring smile. “Lam giving you my strength to fight with this, my love… just stay strong… I will definitely save you,” I comforted her once again. 

“Thunder.” I called Thunder in a stern tone at the same time. “On it,” he replied to me and soon I felt a drain of energy from my b*dy. I felt weak but kept on smiling, only to comfort her. My knees went weak after some time, and I fell on my knees. “Theo!” she screamed in panic, but I immediately raised my hand in the air to comfort her. 

“I… I am okay… Thunder’s strength is enough for me to stay strong for the time being, my love… you just keep your hope up… I will be back soon,” I said to her weakly, passing a faint smile. She whimpered in pain once again. 

Lclosed my eyes and exited from her mind. “Theo!” I heard Vincent screaming at the top of his lungs in panic when I woke up once again. I felt so weak that it was almost impossible for me to even lift my lids. “What’s wrong with you?” Vincent

asked me in a worried tone. 

“Nel….. Nelson….. where is he?” I asked him while panting heavily at the end instead. of answering him. “I am here, Theo.” Nelson immediately replied to me in a worried tone. I moved my head towards me and took a deep breath when I saw him standing next to Vincent. 

“Mel…issa.” I called the witch, who was also looking at me worriedly. “Yes, Alpha!” she immediately responded to my command. “I am passing my strength to you,” Thunder told me at the same time, making me nod to him. It would make him weaken, but we didn’t have time to think about the pros and cons of this 

arrangement. 

“This i… is a blood curse that Marcus has implanted on Victoria using his blood. Both Crystal and Adam have Marcus‘ blood in their veins and that’s why, it affected them too. Crystal…. (I gulped hard and tightened my grip on Crystal’s b*dy, which was still in my embrace)…. she told me that this curse was to kill Adam, but it backfired when she tried to stop him inside Victoria’s mind. Now all of them are dying as the curse has activated,” I explained what Crystal told me. 

There were so many gasps around us, but I didn’t pay attention to them. Melissa had a serious face, but she wasn’t surprised. It meant that she had already found. out about it. “I predicted the same thing, alpha… but I need to know who is the host. of this curse. It’s not Victoria,” she told me, and I raised my brows in surprise. 

“Her wolf is the carrier, and this curse will activate only when the carrier meets the host or comes nearby. In this case, both Crystal and Adam met her wolf at the same time. So, it’s really confusing,” she explained, explaining the main problem of why she wasn’t able to solve this mystery. 

“If I remembered, Nelson (I looked at him this time)… you told us once that you also experimented on yourself by using Marcus‘ blood,” I said while looking at him to confirm. “Yeah… I became a hybrid by using his blood for more than ten years,” he confirmed in a confused tone. 

“Can his blood break this spell?” I asked Melissa in a hurried but hopeful tone. She had a complicated expression on her face. I waited for her answer impatiently. “Uhhh… As I told you earlier, Alpha, this spell has banned a long time ago. So, no one from my coven, including me knows how to deal with this spell,” she answered me hesitantly. 

My heart dropped deep inside my stomach. No…. it couldn’t be… I couldn’t let her die… Not now… not in the future until I had one last breath in my b*dy. “I talked to our queen, and she said that she would search our archive to find any solution,” 

Melissa told me further in the same tone. 

“But they don’t have that much time,” I murmured while looking at her in a daze. She looked at me apologetically. I looked around helplessly while running my fingers through my hair. There must be a solution. I promised her that I would save her, and I couldn’t break my promise. 

“Is there any way that you can shift this curse to someone else?” Suddenly, Martha asked in a firm tone, making me look at her in confusion. “What do you mean, mom?” Vincent asked in a panicked tone, and I trembled lightly too when I realized what she wanted to know. 

“I had a witch friend when I was in high school. She once told me that there is a way in witchcraft through which a witch can shift a curse from a host b*dy to someone else. Is this true, Melissa?” Martha asked Melissa once again while explaining why she had asked the previous question. 

“Yes, Martha… this is true… but this comes under dark spells, and you know that I can’t perform dark magic,” Melissa answered truthfully. There was silence in the room once again as Martha was now staring at Melissa while thinking something hard. “What if your queen permits you to perform?” she asked Melissa again, and I gasped in shock, realizing the depth of her question. 

“What do you want to do, Martha?” Warrick asked her in a stern tone this time. They were holding both William and Victoria in their embraces. William was looking pale, as if someone were draining his blood. He was trying to keep her mate alive at the cost of his own life. 

“What else can I do in this condition, Warrick? Look at them… All of them are dying because of this curse. I don’t know anything about witchcraft, but one thing that I understood here is that to break this curse, one has to sacrifice his or her life. William is our son, and Victoria is his mate. Although Crystal and Adam are not our biological pups, they are no less than William and Vincent for us. Do you think. that I will let someone hurt my pups, huh?” Martha answered him in a raised voice. 

“No, Martha… we will find a way.” Warrick immediately pulled her into his embrace. with one hand while refusing her idea in a choked tone. I could feel his panic because it was about his mate, his better half. 

Melissa call your queen and let me talk to her.” Martha, however, ignored him and asked Melissa in a firm tone. “I said no, Martha,” Warrick screamed at his mate this time in panic. 

“If one has to take this curse to save them, then it will be me, Martha… not you.”

Nelson suddenly spoke in a firm tone, making all of us look at him immediately. He had a calm face, though. 

“Both I and my wolf are hybrids now…. Stronger than any of 

Stronger than any of you present in this room. On top of that, we became hybrids because of Marcus‘ blood. I am sure that it will not be fatal for me, but even if it will kill me.” He paused and took a deep breath. 

“None of them is a host, Theo….. The host is someone else. Adam and Crystal didn’t do anything to activate this curse. Something else has activated the curse, and the host is present in this pack right now.” Suddenly, Thunder informed me in a serious tone. “How did you know?” I asked him hurriedly in a confused tone. He smirked bitterly. “Don’t forget that I am a 1000–year–old soul.” He answered me in a flat tone. 

“We need to find the host first….. Thunder said th.. that none of them is the host,” I announced calmly, tightening my grip on Crystal. I was feeling dizzy now. “What?” everyone shouted in unison, making me jerk my head backwards.
