Theo’s P.O.V. 

“What exactly is going on now, William? Why are both Crystal and Adam in this state? We…. we just went out the pack house for a minute, and they became like this,” William’s father, Warrick, asked him angrily. “I really don’t know, Dad…. I am also confused and worried for them,” William answered him in a helpless tone. 

I sighed and looked in the other direction, trying to figure out how to bring Crystal back. “Luna is awake, but she is not able to wake Crystal up. Melissa is right. They are under some spell. There is no way that I and Luna can’t help Crystal if we are conscious, but she is not, Thunder said in a grumpy but worried tone. 

“What did Melissa say?” Warrick asked him again, making me look back at William. He took a deep breath and leaned towards the table, as we were in his office right now. “She said that she never heard anything about these kinds of spells. She said that practicing these spells have already been banned more than two hundred years ago. She has gone to talk with the witch queen,” he answered his father truthfully. 

I narrowed my eyes while thinking about what Melissa said when she examined. both Crystal and Adam. Marcus was a royal–blood vampire. He already had so many abilities through which he could make someone’s life hell without taking the help of a witch. 

Victoria was just a blood bag for them, and she was there for a long time before Adam reached there. Then, what made him use a witch to put a dark spell on Victoria? What were we missing there? 

“What are you thinking so hard about?” I looked at William again with a blank 

gaze when he asked me in a worried tone. I couldn’t help but sigh aloud when I didn’t pinpoint the exact thing that we were missing here. I took a deep breath and leaned towards the table while opening my legs as I had crossed them on my knees earlier. 

“Didn’t you find it strange?” I asked him in a serious tone while knitting my brows. Both William and Warrick looked at me questioningly. I needed to discuss this with them, and now I had this intuition that we needed to find a solution very quickly. 

“Marcus was a royal–blood vampire. He had so many supernatural abilities through which he could make a person’s life hell. He even entered Crystal’s dream when she was in her mother’s womb and manipulated it when she was born. Why did he

use a witch then to cast this deadly spell?” I explained my thoughts and asked the question at the end in a very serious tone. 

They both blinked but didn’t say a word. “Moreover, Victoria was not a threat to him in any way. I can say that she is of a higher rank, but she was already on the

“We have to find the relationship between Victoria and Crystal first. Something is not adding up here, Warrick said in a serious voice after listening to my explanation. “But there is no relationship between them, or else I would have. found it earlier. Crystal is my mate, and being an old soul, I can sense any bond between two wolves. Crystal has no relationship with Victoria,” I replied to him in the same serious tone. 

“We are ignoring one fact here.” Thunder said in a serious tone, making me straighten my back in reality. “What is it?” I asked him in a hurried tone, as my heart was now beating furiously in fear. I was definitely not going to like whatever he wanted to tell me. 

None of us was connected with Victoria earlier, but don’t forget that Crystal and Adam shared a few bonds in the past. Adam is not only her ex–mate but also her

“Call Melissa right now… they are dying.” I roared while running towards William’s room. “What exactly happened, Theo? You are scaring me now.” William yelled at me in panic, but I didn’t pay any attention to him. 

“Call Nelson and Vincent too,” I instructed Thunder through our link. I didn’t tell anyone, but Thunder could also connect himself to any wolf at any time. Now it was time to use his powers to save our mate. 

“Do what he asked instead of questioning William,” Warrick scolded William in a stern tone. They were right behind me, but I didn’t pay attention to them. I burst open the door of his room, startling William’s mother, Martha in the process who was now sitting beside Crystal on the bed. 

“What happened?” she asked me in a startled tone, but I ran towards Crystal. “William…. channel your energy to your mate through your mate bond now… Martha…. Warrick…. channel your energy to Adam through your bond with the former alpha’s family…. We need to save him at any cost,” I instructed everyone while taking Crystal in my embrace. 

“Crystal… Hey… hey.. listen to me… listen to me,” I patted her face lightly while calling her name. She was still unconscious but I knew that she could listen to me. “You have to break this spell at any cost, my love.. you can’t leave me like this,” I said to her in a stern tone while trying to connect myself with her. Luna was awake, but I needed to connect with Crystal right now. 

“Will you tell me what exactly is happening and why are you panicking like this?” 

William asked me while gritting his teeth. He was also holding his mate in his embrace tightly. 

“The spell…. That was meant to kill Adam. He unintentionally connected himself with Victoria by feeding her his blood. If my assumption is right then Marcus wanted to kill Adam by using Victoria if Adam betrayed him. He knew that both Adam and Crystal are also connected through his blood. So, if something happens to Adam, it will affect Crystal indirectly. Everyone knows that both Luna and Thunder are old soul mates.” I paused and started channelling my energy toward our bond when I felt the connection with Crystal. 

“If something happens to Crystal… I will also die… Crystal’s death will not only affect me but also everyone attached to her… he played a long and d*rty game with us,” I told what Thunder told me and closed my eyes. 

“Son of b*tch.” I heard Warrick cursing Marcus but it was no use right now. “Stay with me baby… you know that I love you so much and can’t live without out. Fight with this spell… you know that you can do this,” I said to Crystal inside my heart. 

I felt her struggling, but she was too weak to fight now. I took a deep breath and concentrated on her deep inside her mind. I needed to enter her mind now. This was the only way to bring her back. “Follow your bond with her, Theo… this spell is to bind the human part of a werewolf. Both I and Luna can’t help you here,” Thunder instructed me in a hurried but serious tone. 

I did what he asked me, and soon I felt her presence inside her mind. She was bound to its place. I could feel that. I almost ran towards her in panic. “Theo… don’t come near to me,” she screamed in panic when we saw each other. 

Without paying attention to her plea, I went near her and looked at her b*dy carefully. We were in a virtual state right now. Still, I could feel that she was struggling hard to even move her b*dy a little. 

“That son of b*tch a d*rty game with us, Theo….. don’t try to do anything or else you will also be affected by this spell,” she pleaded to me in a cracked tone while looking at me with tearful eyes. She was in pain, but she was more worried for me than about herself.
