William’s P.O.V. 

“I told you that it’s dangerous for her to do this, but none of you listened to me,” I screamed at both Theo and Adam while looking at Crystal worriedly. She was looking so pale as if someone had drained all the blood from her b*dy. 

“None of us have anticipated that Marcus has done something to keep Victoria’s wolf imprisoned inside her b*dy. She is not unconscious, William….. Victoria cant listen to you but can’t respond to you because of Marcus,” Adam screamed at me int anger but it didn’t put me at ease. 

“But it doesn’t mean that I have to put Crystal’s life in danger. Victoria is my mate, but Crystal is not only my sister but a daughter to me,” I screamed back at him angrily. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it while looking at me helplessly. 

“Then why did you and Theo pull me back? I must have been with her there….. How could you do this?” Adam screamed at me angrily while shooting daggers at me through his eyes. 

“Because Crystal and Luna used their Luna command collectively on us. We were forced to pull you back, leaving her there.” Theo answered Adam this time in at calm tone, but I could feel how frustrated and pitiful he was right now. His mate forced him to do something against his wish. It was worse than death. 

“Why? Why? Marcus wants me dead… I should haven’t agreed with her in the first place.” Adam yelled in agony this time and started crying. I closed my eyes while suppressing my anger and feeling helpless. 

I was so frustrated and angry that I wanted to kill Marcus right now. He was already dead but that b****d had done so many bad things to restrict us from living a peaceful life. Crystal was already dealing with her nightmares and now my mate’s condition was also because of that pathetic leech. 

“She is okay, William…. give her some time and she will wake up. I can feel her and Luna, Theo tried to comfort me in a tired and exhausted tone. I glared at him, but I couldn’t vent my anger on him. Crystal was more important to him than any one of us. He was also looking pale, and it was enough to tell me that he was still channelling his spiritual energy with Crystal there.

Both I and Neo tried to connect with her, forcing Aero out of the equation, but it backfired on us. I guess Marcus has already anticipated that I would help her getting her wolf back in the future and that was why, he already had put that spell there. Crystal grasped the danger before me, and shielded me with her b*dy,” Adam told us what happened inside Victoria’s mind. 

“But how can this be possible? There is no way that he knew about her being William’s mate.” Theo replied in confusion. I also craned my n*eck towards them while knitting my brows in confusion. No one… not even a witch can predict who can be your mate…. There is no way that Marcus would know the relationship between me and Victoria beforehand. 

Adam shrugged his shoulders while looking at us with a complicated expression. “What is it, Adam? What’s going on in your mind?” I asked him in a stern tone this time. I knew that Adam was the reason that Victoria was still alive, but I didn’t know why. I also had this feeling now that Marcus took this measure because of him. 

There was a tense silence in the room as all of us were looking at each other. We were literally staring at each other. “I….. I really have no idea, guys…… I… I guess that Marcus thought about the possibility of her being my mate, and that was why he did this to punish me? She was the only one there whom I tried to save, he said after some time, but it was clear that he still had doubts about this. 

“I guess you are right…. she is the only one who you tried to save there. Neo was in deep sleep and you were not strong enough to recognize your mate. Yet you are protective towards her…….. so this can be a possibility.” Theo said in a calm tone, echoing his thoughts about this situation. 

I didn’t have anything to refute. “Let’s talk about that later…. think about how can we wake up Crystal now?” I asked them in a low tone. I was still angry because I felt helpless once again in this

“Adam!” I exclaimed in panic once again and immediately stood up.

Both I and Theo helped him and made him sit on a chair near my study table. It called someone for help, and a warrior entered the room. I instructed him to call for help to clean the room. I was now more worried than I was already. 

“What’s wrong?” Theo asked Adam in a worried tone while giving him a glass of water. Adam was now panting heavily while clutching his chest. “I… I guess that… that spell hurt me too,” he answered in a painful voice. 

Now I really wanted to strangle Marcus once again to death. Everything is a big mess right now. Adam drank some water but coughed again. Thanks to the goddess, he didn’t vomit blood again. “You have pain in the chest?” Theo asked him while taking the glass from him. 

“Yeah… and it….. it’s becoming unbearable,” Adam answered him truthfully. “Let me call a doctor here or do you want to go to the hospital?” I suggested it in a worried tone. He waved his hand in the air while shaking his head negatively. 

“Call Melissa,” he said in a weak tone, and my heart skipped a beat in fear. His voice was more painful than before. “Okay…. okay…. hang on,” I replied to him immediately in a worried tone and immediately mind–linked Vincent. He left my room when he got a call from the hospital. The rogue girl’s condition deteriorated once again. 

“Where are you?” I asked Vincent through the mind link in a hurried tone. “I am about to reach home…. what happened? Is Crystal okay?” He answered me but asked me in a worried tone. “No…. nothing is okay…. go and bring Melissa immediately. Both Adam and Crystal are in trouble right now,” I answered him while instructing him hurriedly. 

“What? O… okay… just wait for five minutes, Vincent answered me in a stunned tone before cutting off the link. “She will be here soon,” I said to Adam, but trembled lightly when I saw Theo holding him tightly by his shoulders and his face was completely paled by now. 

“You will be okay, okay? Just hang on a little… Melissa will be here soon.” I tried to comfort him, but I was now anxious. Adam looked at me with a painful expression. He was in severe pain. “Let’s take him to the couch. He should lie down.” I instructed Theo in an anxious tone. 

“Theo immediately pulled Adam up with him, and we almost dragged his b*dy. towards the couch. Adam coughed a few more times and spat some more blood. Theo put 

him on the couch, and before I could ask Adam anything, he suddenly coughed hard and fainted at the spot. 

“What’s going on here?” Vincent asked in an anxious tone when he entered the room. I looked towards him and saw him staring at the floor with wide–open eyes. in shock. Melissa, the pack witch, immediately went towards the bed. 

“Why is so much blood here, William?” Vincent asked me in the same tone but I didn’t pay attention to him and went towards the bed. Melissa had examined Victoria so many times earlier. So, I was sure that there was no witchcraft affecting Victoria. 

“Melissa put her hand over Crystal’s b*dy in the air and closed her eyes. I glued my eyes to him with a helpless expression. Suddenly, Melissa gasped aloud in shock and opened her eyes. Before I could open my mouth, my eyes widened in shock when I saw her b*dy flying away and hitting the wall a little far from the bed on the other side. 

“Melissa,” I yelled in panic and ran towards her. Vincent was behind me. She 

yelped aloud in pain when she fell to the ground. I immediately pulled her up into my embrace. “What happened? Are you okay?” I asked her in a worried tone while pulling her up with me. 

“Dark….. spell.” She uttered in a painful tone while looking towards the bad in a worried tone. “What do you mean?” I asked her anxiously, as my heart was now beating furiously. I was now having bad intuition about this situation. 

“Th.. they are under… a da… rk spell, William… not only Crystal, bu…. ut Victoria too.” She answered me in the same tone. 

“What?” I uttered in shock, still holding her in my side embrace. She coughed a few times before trying to breathe properly. Marcus was really cunning, and his cunning schernes were still haunting our lives. 

“I know what I said earlier, William… this kind of practice has already banned five hundred years ago. That’s why, I wasn’t able to detect this spell earlier… Something triggered this spell now.” She answered me in an anxious and fearful tone, making my heart skip a beat in fear for both Crystal and Victoria.
