Chapter 135 

Adam’s P.O.V. 

I looked at Crystal helplessly when she was arguing with William. Sometimes, I really felt that she didn’t grow up and she was the same stubborn little girl that she was in my memories. Neo, who had been silent ever since he came back was now pacing frequently inside my mind and was urging me to go out of the pack house. 

He told me that he sensed that our mate near to this pack, and he wanted to go out and search for her. I also wanted to go and search for her first, but I couldn’t let Crystal do this alone. She knew how dangerous it could for her, still she was hell bent to do this. Earlier in the car, Theo told me that her original plan is only to follow me inside her mind. I didn’t want to tell them what she was planning, but after giving a second thought, both I and Neo agreed that we should tell them about all the pros and cons of this situation. 

Before coming here, Crystal asked me to invade Victoria’s mind at first. I didn’t know why but she had a firm believed that they would get some clue to find our mate in Victoria’s subconscious mind, and that was why, I was in William’s room with them. 

“Okay… fine… then we will act according to our first plan. I will lead the way and you will follow me.” I broke the silence after her outburst, making her glared at me once again. “Either we both do this together or none of us will do it.” I put my condition in a cold tone this time. 

She was about to open her mouth again but I cut her off. “I trust your ability, Crystal…. But I will not let you take the whole blow on yourself. If anything goes wrong there, Theo will pull you back, and you will pull me back with you.” I said further in a stern tone, making her sigh in resignation this time. I could be as stubborn as she was. 

“Are you sure you two will come back safely, huh?” William asked me worriedly one more time. I sighed helplessly once again. “Yeah, William… Trust her… everything will be okay… also, we are here to help them. We will pull them out at any time if we sense any danger around them,” Theo comforted him in a confident tone this time. I knew that Theo also had something on his mind. There was no way that he would let his mate take a risk like that without a backup plan. 

“Okay… enough chit chat… we have plenty of work to do, and don’t forget that we have to go to see that rogue girl too,” Crystal interrupted us in an impatient tone while clapping lightly to get our attention. William was still unease, but he admitted defeat in front of her. 

“Adam.” She called me after that and I looked at her questioningly. “Is Neo okay?” she asked me in a worried tone. “Yeah… he is fine… does he also need to help us?” I replied to her with a question in the end. 

“Yeah… we need him too. Although, we are using William’s mate bond to invade. her mind, he needs to connect with Aero too so that he can pull us out if we sense any danger inside her mind if… if can’t be able to do so,” she instructed me and I knitted my brows in confusion. “Bond between Neo and Aero? What bond?” I asked her in confusion. She smirked mysteriously making my heart skip a beat. 

“Why do you think that he came back, huh?” she asked me, and I furrowed my brows while clenching my jaw. “Our wolves always have stronger and deeper connections with other wolves than their humans, Adam. They can be greedy and cunning like us, but they never betray other wolves close to their hearts. Aero and Neo are not only best friends, but they are like brothers. Aero is the reason that Neo didn’t leave you completely and went in a deep sleep instead,” she answered me in a calm tone. 

I was stunned by the revelation. My whole b*dy trembled while looking at her dumbfounded. She signalled to me with her eyes that what she told me was true. I slowly moved my gaze towards William who had a stoned face right now, looking at Victoria but I could see pain in his eyes. 

I loathed him for taking the alpha position after my father kicked me out of the pack. I called him a traitor and planned to kill him. What did he did? Not only did he keep this pack safe, but also didn’t let Neo leave me. He was the reason that Neo was still with me, and we found our mate if we saw the whole situation from the other angle. 

“You can have a heart–to–heart conversation with him later…. But for now… let’s bring his mate back, Adam.” Crystal said in a soft tone this time. I gulped the invisible lump that had formed inside my throat while nodding in agreement. 

“Let’s go,” she murmured, and we both walked towards the other end of the bed. Now, we were going to make a formation. I will lie down next to Victoria, holding her hand, and Crystal will be next to mine, holding my hand. William would hold Victoria’s other hand from the other side, and Theo would hold Crystal’s hand from the other side of the bed. 

Vincent had already informed his parents to come back, and Nelson also entered the room when we were about to lie. He was still worried, but the good thing was that he trusted our decisions. I knew that he would do anything to keep us safe if any danger lurked around us.

Chapter 135 

Vincent and his parents, along with Nelson would stay alert around us and would help us coming out if William and Theo failed to pull us out. The key point was that I would use my connection with Victoria to connect Victoria and Crystal so that Crystal wouldn’t exhaust herself much. Both Luna and Neo would help us during our invasion inside Victoria’s mind to help Victoria’s wolf. 

After assuring me that everything was according to the plan, Crystal signalled me to close my eyes. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I was holding her hand tightly as if I was scared that I would lose her at any point in this plan. 

Soon, we drifted deep into our sleep, and Crystal popped inside my mind. “Let’s start searching for her,” she said while looking at me enthusiastically. “You are always this impatient,” I flicked on her forehead while saying and she immediately hissed in pain while rubbing that place on her forehead where I hit her playfully. 

“And you are still so annoying,” she retorted while hitting me on my chest, making me chuckle. “Let go of my hand first,” she said, trying to remove her hand from my grip. I immediately tightened my grip on her hand, refusing to let her go. 

“No, Crystal… Let’s keep holding hands. It will keep me at ease,” I insisted, and she pouted while looking at me. She thought for a while and then shrugged her shoulders. “Okay… let’s start now… we can’t stay here for long,” she said further, and I nodded in agreement. 

“From where do we have to start?” I asked while looking all around. Once again we are in a closed dark place. “Find Neo’s connection with Acro so that he can guide us through his mate bond with her wolf,” she instructed me and I gave him a curt 

nod. 

“Can.. can we use our wolves‘ abilities here?” I asked Crystal in a curious tone. She once again smiled mysteriously. “That’s why, I am here, Adam. I am not a protagonist here, but you are. Both I and Luna will help you in this rescue mission by using our abilities,” she answered me and I raised my brows in surprise. 

“You don’t know but you are the reason that not only Victoria but her wolf is also alive. When you forced her to drink your blood, her wolf also revived with her, forming a sire bond with you. Your bond with her is stronger than mine.” She explained and I huffed angrily this time. 

She grinned and started pulling me in a direction. “You knew this to come alone, huh?” I asked her angrily while Neo was working on finding a way 

…Still you want to reach Victoria’s wolf. She looked at me while smiling sheepishly, but I wanted to smack her head this time.

Suddenly I stopped while making her stop with me too when I sensed something dangerous around us. Her grip on my hand tightened too. “Did you feel the same?” I asked her while looking all around cautiously. 

“Marcus.” She murmured,, and I narrowed my eyes. The leech had died long ago. but his shadow is still lurking around us dangerously. “I found her,” Neo informed me at the same time. “Lead the way,” I instructed him and took a deep breath. I was feeling unease because everything was going very smoothly. 

“Let’s go,” I said to her in a cold tone, still looking cautiously all around me. She didn’t say a word, but I knew that she was also on alert right now. Soon, we started feeling a suppressive force that was making us unable to breathe. 

I pulled behind her when she coughed lightly. “We are close to her.” She murmured again, making me hum in response. Victoria was in Marcus” imprisonment for more than two years. It would not be a surprise if he had done something to make her a live vegetable. 

“Something is not right here.” She murmured again, but I felt a burning sensation in my chest at the same time, making me clutch my chest. She was still behind me, and I forced her to stay there. Now I was sure that something was very dangerous out there. 

“Adam.” She called me while trying to come beside me, but I didn’t let her. “Stay behind me, Crystal.” I–instructed her in a cold tone. The suppressive force was intensifying with every passing second. “Try… try to reach her wolf… I am not sensing her presence.” I instructed her once again after a few seconds. 

“She is close to us, Adam…. But something is really wrong here….let… let’s get out from here first.” She replied to me in a worried tone. I narrowed my eyes in confusion and slowly looked down at her. She was still staring in the dark like a hawk. 

Suddenly a small whimper caught my attention and I snapped my head towards the direction of the voice. “She is there,” I screamed when the dark fog in front of us started fading. I gasped in shock when I saw a wolf lying on the cold floor. She was shaking her head with all her strength but it seemed that something had stopped her from making any voice. 

“I found her, Crystal.” I told Crystal and started walking towards the wolf. “Stop, Adam…. She is under a spell.” Crystal immediately pulled me behind while telling me what she felt. I immediately stopped, still having my eyes on the wolf. “Neo,” I called Neo to confirm. “She is right.” He immediately confirmed me, 

Chapter 135 

“I…. I need to stop Aero… he is trying to reach her…. This is dangerous.” Suddenly Neo yelled in panic, making me panic too… “Aero…. he is going for her,” I told Crystal in a panic tone. She groaned and immediately tightened her grip on my hand once again. 

“No.” Suddenly Crystal screamed at the top of her lungs and before I could understand what exactly was happening, she pulled me behind her with all her strength, making me stumble on my feet, losing my balance. The next second, she threw herself on me. 

“Crystal… what happened?” I asked her worriedly when she suddenly gasped aloud. while widening her eyes to the maximum extent. “Take him back.” She yelled and suddenly the blood gushed out of her mouth. 

“Crystal,” I yelled in panic while holding her b*dy into my embrace, but my vision darkened when I felt a force pulling me out. “No….. let me go.” I screamed when I realized what exactly happened, but I blacked out.
