Alpha's Human Luna

Chapter 22

"I'm not sure, Susan. Because you're a person, it's possible that we were created to be like that." David looks me straight in the eyes.

"Do you know, Susan, that this is something I've never done before? I've only ever seen and heard of mate relationships in movies and on television."

I frown at David. "I know. "I show him my hand.

David laughs, "That's true, but it will become better and easier."

I sigh. "We will never have it easy, David." I said.

David growls and nuzzles against my chest, tickling and making me giggle. My hands surge to his shoulders, pushing him away. David pauses and leans on my stomach, nearly kicking his shin. "Don't you have Alpha tasks to finish at present?"

I sense David sigh. "No, I'm OK." He sighs deeply. I breathe hard and remain silent. Every minute, David's warmth penetrates into my body, causing my eyelids to shut.

For a second, David and I aren't squabbling.

Maybe couples are indeed like this, like my parents, who quarreled the whole life but lived tother for a whole life. The meaning of a mate is accompanied, even quarreling adds to the charm of life, I suppose. On another day the sun is shining brightly. I'm talking about Jessica's participation in the Luna rite.

"It's similar to a mating rite, but it's more intense and involves the whole community."

"You are introduced by the Alpha as his mate, the pack's Luna. The Luna will have something to say. It may be anything you want, but it has to be done somehow. Inform the pack that you are concerned about them and want to protect them. Following that, the Alpha will slice his hand, his and finally your hand."

"I still remember my own Luna ceremony," Jessica laughs, but her eyes are distant as she shakes her head.

"When everyone has arrived, they will approach Luna and Alpha with their families in tow. It is now your responsibility. The Luna must learn the names and functions of each and every member of the pack. It's difficult, but the headaches are well worth it in a pinch "... All of this new information is causing me to fix my eyes on Jessica.

"When the Luna ceremony will be held," she asks.

"I'm not sure."

"Ask David," I say. "He may be able to provide you with assistance."

In the dining room, I take a look around. How long do you think it will be before I see David? As a result, it is tough for me to get in touch with him when I need or want to chat with him.

"Was your mate usually on the go?"

Jessica nods her head agitatedly. "Never, Susan,"

"What method did you use? "

"Talking and maintaining a sense of equilibrium," Jessica explains. "When my husband was too preoccupied with drills, border patrol, and visiting other packs, I would hit him in the back of the back. Speaking with each other was never easy, but it was beneficial."

"Do you miss him?"

She laughs, jiggles her napkin, and continues. "Every second, Susan,"

I'm having trouble sleeping since it's late at night. That's most likely because I sobbed so much before David arrived.

Late at night, the size of my bed gives me a sensation of being alone. I raise my eyes to the ceiling, wishing to fall asleep.

I tried everything I could think of. From counting animals to sneaking warm milk into my bedroom. I'm on the verge of yelling because of failure.

I shift my pillow to the cool side since I'm exhausted. I snuggle the blankets closer to my breasts to keep warm. As I shut my eyes, the silence of the room fills my ears with the sound of my body relaxing. When I smell anything familiar, my body begins to heat up and shudder.

After a few moments, my eyes open and concentrate on the bare couch beside me.

David slept with this pillow in his bed.

Susan, you're not going to believe that. Close your eyes and ignore the pillow that smells like David. I pull David's pillow closer to me. When I inhale his aroma, I feel calm yet tense at the same time.

My body starts to relax and drift out gently. Then I hear a creak in my bedroom door, which startles me awake. However, when I see David standing at the doorway to my bedroom, my expression softens.

Because of his tall, muscular physique, the hallway lights cast a gulping glow behind him.

"Why you're awake?"

David enters my room and shuts the door. "I'm sure I could ask the same question."

He lets out a sigh. I lie on the comfortable mattress as I watch David make his way toward my room. David rises to his feet beside me, his gaze riveted on my face.

As he pulls the cushion away from my hands, my heart is hammering. David adjusts the cushion behind his head before wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me close to his chest.

Against his body, my body is tight for a single second before gradually relaxing against it. I lean against David's chest and inhale his scent while he speaks. As my body begins to fall back to sleep, a little smile appears on my face. I fall asleep with David gently stroking little, light patterns on my bare lower back as I drift off to sleep.

By the time I awakened, David had already departed. His sleeping quarters, on the other hand, remained toasty. I put on my clothes.

When I walked into the dining room, everyone was already seated and eating. I took a seat next to David. Listening in on the debates while eating a simple breakfast was a highlight of my day.
