Alpha's Human Luna

Chapter 21

"Bare?" My eyebrows are raised in perplexity.

"There's nothing here save a bed, a dresser, and a nightstand."

I take a peek around my own space. Nothing except pictures and souvenirs decorate my space. As David points out, it's completely bare. Wait. I raise my brows and look David in the eyes. He looks at me as though he knows I'm trying to figure things out. My closet is stocked with men's items, and my bed is much too large for one.

I take a deep breath in. "Are you saying this-"

"I had no clue my mate would be a human being," he says in surprise. "And we share a room. "Wait, what?"

I was under the impression that I was in a guest room with men's clothing since there was no other available space! "You do, however, have a room here and your clothes."

David nods slowly, his blue eyes expanding.

I'm taken aback and scoff. "Unbelievable! I've been sleeping in your bed the whole time! I don't know how many women you have slept with !"

When I get to my feet, I unintentionally knock the orange juice cup into the blanket. David lets out a roar. This makes me smirk a little. As I spin on my heel, I cast a look toward David.

He has also gotten out of bed and is making his way toward me. I'm the one who meets him initially. David snarls once again as I hit his chest forcefully in the face.

"Please do not growl at me. Instead of being silent, you could have told me of your plans." I jab him in the chest once more. Just to get beyond his impenetrable wall of thought. "You have every right to be upset because you believe I had sex in our bed,"

"David, you're joking! I had no clue this was your room until about ten minutes ago." I lean my head to one side. "Can I ask whether you're a virgin?"

David lifts his eyes. A sigh and a rubbing of the temples. "No way in hell. My bed is only for the use of my mate. There isn't any other."

This brings me great joy. I can't help but take a second look at David's beautiful face, but it's not pleasant. He can't just leave in this way!

"David!" I shout.

He's walking more quickly than before, and I'm sprinting to catch up with him. I groan in frustration.

"Stop wasting your time with such nonsense! "I'm fed up with it!"

But I should have known better than to anticipate that he would stop and walk back to me. As David emerges from the trees and makes his way towards the house, I sprint after him. "Can you hear what I'm saying? What was that even supposed to mean?"

The obscenities had to have gotten his attention, however. I've never felt threatened or intimidated by David in any way whatsoever. But when he turns on his heel, even though he's less than a foot away, I quiver with fear. David is coming, and I can feel it through my closed eyelids.

As he bends down, I can feel his warm breath brushing across the back of my neck. I'm hoping for him to speak anything, but he doesn't say anything.

David didn't take any action. David's wolf may be found nearby. I know this because his eyes are still as bright as ever. I'm now praying beyond hope that David doesn't morph into his gigantic, wolf-like form.

As soon as I open my eyes, I am aware of David's presence. For a little while, the bright beams dazzled me. He's furious at the moment. I'm also outraged!

"First and foremost, respond to my inquiry." I heave a sigh of relief.

David tugged his head away from my neck and looks me in the eyes. Color changes in his eye.

David sneers sarcastically. "Susan, you're essential to this group as well as to me. "how many times do I have to say it?"

I manage to keep my fury under control. I remind myself to slow down and breathe.

"Yelling and swearing won't get you anywhere." He lets out a sigh.

I take a step back, roll my eyes, and slam my arms to the sides of my body.

"Isn't it my fault now? Because I'm unable to grab your attention while you continue to ignore me. I have to protect you, Susan," it's like a slap in the face.

David squints his eyes. I stood in front of him, yelling and staring him in the eyes. While I'm waiting for David to say anything, my hands are balled up. He maintains his gaze fixed on me, his eyes becoming smart and haughty with each passing moment. This aggravates me even more. I open my mouth to yell at David once again, but I stop myself.

I'm astonished by this. "Oh, David! I'm so sorry! You can't just fling me over your shoulder like that!" I push myself off his firm back, the jungle dwindling around me. David walks up the porch steps, through the sitting room, where Neme is seated.

David groans when my door opens with a groan. I arrive on my large, comfortable bed after a long trip.

David follows me onto the bed, his eyes widening. He treated me as if I were prey.

David smirks and clutches my wrist, He then rushes at me, knocking me to the ground, wraps his arms around my waist, and scrunches his head between my cleavages to suffocate me more. I take a deep breath and exhale fast. He seemed to be able to set me on fire.

When I watch David snuggling up against my breasts, my heart melts a little more. He's so adorable. He has thick brows, long eyelashes, a crooked nose, and a full set of lips, all of which complement his features. David's face is very lovely, and I'm curious to see how his father looks.

He tightens his grasp on me, pressing my nose into the crook of his neck.

"How can we be mates when we are always at odds?" His brow is stroked by my thumb.
