Alpha's Human Luna

Chapter 10

Jessica seems to have a strong attachment to and affection for her mate. I can tell from the way she portrays him. "Can you tell me how you met?"

"Susan, that feels like a lifetime ago. In my territory, he was traveling with his father, the Alpha, when he came to see me. We crammed as much information as we could into the short days we had together. He asked me to accompany him. I didn't think twice about it."

"Didn't you ever miss your family back home?" I'm taken aback and questioned.

Jessica sighs, a smirk on her face. However, having your best mate at your side is something you should be grateful for.

"Do you have two children?"

While sorting through the fridge, Jessica says, "Correct."

"David was my first kid, and I didn't have another until he was eight years old. "

My pupils swell up.

Jessica doesn't say anything after wiping the pans on the marble counters and instead turns on the water tap to rinse them off with warm water. I'm hoping she'll react since everyone else has been deafeningly silent.

"He can make you cry, smile, laugh, and scream all in the same day. You will be astounded by the protective instinct you will have for your pack. Having that sensation is a wonderful one,"

Jessica wants me to be aware of and accept this.

I look down at my hands and tighten my fists. "Thank you so much, Jessica. Thank you very much." Jessica gives me a kind grin from under my closed eyelids. "It's not a problem. Now go out there and do something. I'm well aware that you're bored to tears."

"Completely. Is there anything I can do to assist you?"

Jessica looks at the timer on the stove. "Training should begin as soon as possible. Is it okay if I go?"

I straighten my back, widening my gray eyes, and cracking a smile at myself. As I go out of the kitchen and into my room, I express my gratitude to Jessica. David has vanished, likely executing some Alpha task that I am not aware of.

I walk inside my wardrobe and pull out a white knit sweater for myself. After that, I go to the bathroom. I immediately put on my winter clothing, hoping not to miss any werewolf training sessions in the process.

I dash past the dining room, kitchen, and living room, stomping down the several porch stairs and into the house.

The woods aren't nearly as eerie as they used to be. Even if it isn't snowing, the snow on the ground isn't going anywhere. I can already feel the moisture seeping into my garments. The breeze is blasting, and the temperature is below zero degrees Celsius.

After that, I saw naked men hitting and women slapping. Everyone continues to astound me.

It's almost as though they're doing choreography. As I did the last time, I walk into the opening, attempting to bring attention to myself.

"No. Please don't slow down." When they see I'm serious, they continue to train.

My feet take a couple more steps forward. As I walk, I keep my sight fixed on the men and women around me.

A man gets slapped in the jaw, his head swings back, he moans, but he continues to battle on. And my piercing gaze is drawn to a certain Alpha in particular.

David is standing in front of him, his arms crossed over his strong chest, his blue eyes fixed on the pair in front of him. Despite the cold, she perspires and her resolve can be seen in her eyes.

I make my way up to David. Although his pupils widen, he does not turn to face me. I keep a smirk off my face and concentrate on the two females.

"Do you put them through torture, David?"

I heave a sigh of relief. The younger woman gets pounded in the stomach, and she begins to lose her balance and collapse.

David does absolutely nothing. He does nothing except standing there and observe. Unexpectedly, I feel a great pull on my shoulders.

My shoulder has been completely ringed. My skin begins to heat up, and I realize it's David. He yanks me around to face him, his infuriated eyes glowing orange in the light of the moon. "Because Lunas do not interfere with training. Susan, keep up the work at home."

I smirk a little." If it is meant to be that we are together. The fact that you're large and horrible will not allow you to twist your small finger around your own."

As a result, I grab his wrist and pull it away from me. I would have laughed at David's sneer if we hadn't been arguing at the time. If he were a wolf, he could be scared by this. But for the time being, all I want to do is laugh. David is aware of my laugh. He smirks and combs his black hair, which just adds to the confusion.

"I'm not sure what to do with you." He mumbles.

Before I leave, I give him a cheeky smile and wave goodbye. "At this point, we're two." As I move away from him, I shout out to him from behind me.

While strolling, I am distracted by everyone's hitting and kicking.

Some youngsters are intellectually superior to adults. After then, there are the final partners. The girl sags to the cold ground, whimpering and hesitating as she does so. She rises to her feet and kicks him, forcing him to fall to the ground.

I'm expecting him to continue, but he just shakes his head and chuckles instead. The girl leans in and punches the man in the face. A large step forward, the crunching of snow under my boots, signals my arrival. The man pauses as he looks over the girl's shoulder. As soon as she does, Alison's tiny face, gentle eyes, and brown hair are shown to me.

"Hey, Luna! What's up? Alison leaps to her feet and straightens her hair. "Uh," she begins, her gaze falling on the child lying on the ground. "Luna."

"Please address me as Susan. "I sigh and shake my head.

Allison blushes as she notices that her friend is still on the ground. She extends a helping hand to him. The young man grins.

"Hello, Luna. "This is Ryan, Allison's mate."

"However, you're still so young!" I scream. Ryan gives Alison a kind grin and wraps his arm around her.

"She's eighteen now, and she just turned eighteen." It took her years before she finally accepted me.

I swivel my head to the side that is being discussed. She gives me a half-smile and a startled shrug as she walks away.
