Alpha's Fated Slave Mate

Chapter 64 Something must be done

After waiting for a long time, I heard a sound of a vehicle moving.

I glanced from behind the rock, and in the front car, Adri was sitting in the back seat, and he was completely oblivious to my presence.

I gripped my shortsword tightly and was about to rush forward when a hand squeezed my shoulder, only to look back and realize that it was Joslin.

"I guessed you would do that, but the problem is that if you rush over like that, you won't have to wait for him to do anything, you'll already be surrounded by rouge." Joslin said as he crouched beside me.

"He said his name was Salle, not Adri, and I just wanted to confirm that for myself." I said to Joslin.

"Come with me and I'll let you know if he's Adri or not," Joslin said to me.

After the team left, we left as well. Back at Joslin's station, it was a large building. In the room, Joslin told the others to leave, and only I stayed.

"What did you want to say to me?" I asked, looking at her.

"Kasha, I think I owe you an apology before I tell the truth about what happened." Joslin said to me.

"What do you mean? Why do you want to apologize to me?" I didn't understand what she was trying to say.

"The person you saw..... is the real Adri," Joslin looked at me guiltily, tears running down her face.

"What exactly are you hiding from me?" I questioned with a trembling voice.

"Kasha, I...... made a lapse in judgment and let Adri break into the rouge's trap with his men, and although I wanted to save him, he ..... was already under the control of the rouge ..... "Joslin lowered his head and covered his face with his hands, whimpering.

"So he didn't fall into the river at all, is that right?" A feeling of weakness came over my whole body and I took two steps backwards, my legs felt like they couldn't hold me up anymore.

I fell on the couch, not knowing how to describe my feelings at that moment.

Anger, sadness, hatred, and many more emotions came out of my heart, like a tightening net, suffocating me and cutting my heart open at the same time.

"Adri asked me not to tell you the truth while he still had his senses, he was afraid that something would happen to you because of your grief. kasha, I'm really sorry, I could only watch him being swallowed up by his senses, I couldn't help him ......Joslin fell to the ground and cried out in a complete breakdown. The company's main goal is to help the people who are in need of help.

"What did rouge do to him?" I asked, trying to keep myself awake and sane.

"It's a potion created by rouge that can make the wolf that exists in the spirit world fall into a deep sleep and can replace the original spirit body with a new spirit body." Joslin said to me. "Adri was also replaced with a wolf named Salle, right?" My voice had become hoarse from suppressing my emotions.

Joslin nodded to me, confirming my suspicions.

"What about his original wolf?" I asked Joslin after me.

"I don't know, the rouge have taken some of the pack's wolves, but they only pick Gamma and Alpha, and those are the ones we've only recently discovered." Joslin explained to me.

"Is it still possible for those people, and Adri, to recover?" I still carried a last glimmer of hope in my heart.

"It's an ancient virus, and we haven't found an effective method until now."

Joslin's words almost dashed my last hope in that moment. But I still believed that the wolf that really belonged to him must still be alive, perhaps just sleeping inside his body, waiting to be awakened. "Joslin, you still have to lead the freelancer and rouge to fight, Adri is my husband, no matter what happens, I must bring him back, there is always a way ....." I said to Joslin.

"Kasha, you can't go alone, the person the rouge wants to catch the most is you, you will only fall into their trap if you go to them now." Joslin said to me as he stood up.

"Do I have a choice? Let him stay on the rouge team, once the last of his value is gone, do you think he has a chance to live?" I asked to Joslin.

"Kasha, I know this hits you hard, but what we need to do now is solve Navia's crisis, and he will show up." Joslin said to me.

Without answering her words, I asked her for a separate room and left.

Closing the door to my room, I could no longer control my emotions and sat behind the door with my face covered, crying. I didn't know what I was going to do to save Adri.

It wasn't until I was tired of crying that I fell asleep against the back of the door.

When I woke up, it was already the next morning.

The civilians of Navia City were gathering at the Freedmen's garrison, hoping to be protected.

The garrison is not large, and with the constant influx of civilians, all resources are becoming scarce. rouge has cut off Navia City's supplies from the outside, and anyone can only enter the city, not leave again. That's how we were able to get into Navia City so easily.

I went into the bathroom and washed my face, then opened the door and walked out. joslin was standing outside my room door at some point.

"Kasha, I know you must not want to see me right now, but what I want to say is that we have been working on a solution that will fix this potion." Joslin said to me.

"I know that you're not entirely to blame for this kind of thing, and I'm only sad because of Adri. I don't know how all this we've done will turn out in the end, but I just want to take Adri back." I said to Joslin.

Navia had become the biggest battleground now.

I walked into the hall with her.

A werewolf came running in covered in blood, and Joslin rushed over to hold him.

"The rouge are still gathering, and they are preparing to launch a general attack on Navia." The werewolf said to Joslin, sitting in a chair and panting heavily.

"Looks like we have to do something about that too." Joslin said with a look at me.

"What can we do now that the outside is surrounded by rouge?" I asked looking to Joslin.

"Send out the signal for the last freelancer rally in Navia City, no one knows if the other groups are willing to support us." Joslin said as he looked out the window. "As a werewolf, we shouldn't fall back even if we don't have reinforcements." I said to Joslin.

She was silent for a moment and nodded to me.

I left the hall, Sotto had refused to show himself even now, and no one even knew where he was.

The rouge outside the city had all of Navia surrounded, and neither the wolves nor the civilians could leave. But they didn't attack immediately, perhaps waiting for Sotto. Joslin is still trying to find the antidote to the poison.

"If you can find the antidote to the poison, I would appreciate it." I whispered as I looked at the rouge on the outskirts of the city.
