Alpha Bond

Chapter 42

Oliver’s POV

I bare my teeth at him in warning, ready to take him down if needed. But the words which Elena's mouth forces me to give up my attacking stance as I again look at the wolf.

"If dad has reacted in this way seeing him, then I don't know what will he do when he finds out he is your mate." Elena chuckles, sounding amused, "Good luck, Ella."

Alpha Donovon.

The wolf tilts his head slightly to the side as he eyes me in confusion, seeming to debate whether I am a friend or a foe.

The temperature of the place drops when Luna Ivory enters, looking terrifying calm and cold. I could have never imagined her like this, so it is shocking to see her so devoid of emotions.

I have always remembered her warm aura and the warmth in her eyes, which makes you feel loved and cared for. I can't forget how she gave me another life and always looked after me like a family.

But now, she looks nothing like the person I remember as her eyes have an icy glare that is enough to send chills down your spine.

Without even looking in our direction, she directly goes to Joseph and looks at him. He seems to have healed a bit, but still, he hasn't recovered from Ella's attacks.

"No one and nothing can save anyone from me if they even think about hurting my pup." Her cold voice sounds sinsters as she glares at him, "Even if you had died, I would have brought you back, and then again, I would have given you a painful death."

"You hurt my pups. I have felt their pain." She shakes her head as she leans down, "I have never let any pain touch my pups, and you have dared to hurt them."

"You shouldn't have done that because now I have to do something which I don't like." She sighs, and when he tries to move away from her she holds his leg and breaks it into two. "I don't like hurting anyone, let alone killing. But now, all I want to do is break your every bone, and tear your flesh into pieces. And then finally rip your head off your body."

She makes a tsk tsk sound from her mouth, and then abruptly, she holds his face and digs her fingers into his face. Next, I know, she has pulled a chunk out of his face, revealing his facial bones.

He screams in agony, but she doesn't even react a bit as she grabs his hair and smashes his head on the ground.

"Woah, that's so cool." Elena comments excitedly, but then she makes a face when Ivory pulls his eyes out, "Umm, Ella... remind me never to make mom mad. Damn, she is crazy."

I notice how Donovon's wolf Storm's eyes are set on me as if he is waiting for me to make one wrong move.

Then suddenly, he sprints towards me and swings his claw. I get startled when his claw barely misses me and tilts slightly towards my left, and instantly a body falls on the ground.

He growls at me in warning, and this is enough for me to get back into action. Their presence momentarily distracted me, and it would have been fatal for me, but he just saved me. Just like they have saved me years ago.

Subtly bowing my head in his direction, I show my gratitude and respect to him. He grunts then go to Elena.

He nudges her with his nose, but she shakes her head with a small, barely visible smile. He takes his place beside her as if wanting to be with her.

While Ella shifts into her wolf and jumps into the fight, attacking anyone moving towards her mother as Ivory takes her sweet time torturing Joseph.

Instantly, my sense catches the smell of other pack members who have come with Ivory and Donovon, so being careful not to attack them, I go to Ella and fight along with her.

These bastards keep on showing up, no matter how many of them we have killed. We feel confused, but this does not deter us. If anything, we all are high on killing.

Ella is not only fighting but also protecting everyone against all the spells that are still trying to protect Joseph by attacking us. Her shield around us is so strong that even I can feel its pressure. I am sure all the spells will be destroyed the moment any of them attempts to pass through her shield.

Suddenly, Joseph's screams turn even louder as Ivory rips open his ribcage. Even if I want, I can't turn away from this sight. Her calm expression never leaves her face when fire forms around her hand, and she holds his heart in her fist.

The most pungent smell emits from him, as the tar-like liquid begins to drop from his heart as it begins to melt. With every second, the frenzy around us begins to settle down, as, with Joseph, even this magic is dying.

Throwing the mangled heart back on the cavity of his chest, Ivory moves back, and then unrelenting flames of fire engulf his entire frame.

Some strange sensation runs through my veins, and I forcefully shift back. My palms burn, and then the outline of my hand begins to blur, just like it happens when I am about to shift. However, this time I don't shift, but I felt a heavy and hot metal resting against my palm.

Looking at my palm, a small gasp falls from my lips as I find Moon Dagger in my hand. It is glowing, and bright white light is emitting from its blade, and even though it is hot to touch, the burning is comforting.

A golden light spreads across my entire skin, while every cell in my body feels an immense power settling inside them. I can feel a wave of power spreading through me, and strangely it makes me feel like I am connecting with a missing part of me.

Closing my fingers around the dagger, I look at it and look around. Earlier, I could only sense the presence of dark energies, but now I can actually see them.

We are surrounded by these evil forces which Joseph and his mother brought on us. My gaze moves to Elena and the presence of dark forces is stronger around her, but they seem different from the ones I feel around this place. Her aura is dark, but a silver lining frames around her.

I can tell that the power she possesses is sinister, but she knows to control them.

Although Elena is not directly fighting, she continues to control these energies and weaken them. While Ella is finishing them. Ella is drawing strength from Elena, while Ella is not letting Elena lose herself to the darkness.

It is a magnificent sight to watch, and it shows how they both are connected more than just blood.

The dagger in my palm burns to the point that I can feel it branding my skin. Calling forward all my powers and my wolf, I hold the dagger with both hands. The muscles in my body ripples as the power surges through the dagger and passes through my body.

Raising the dagger above my head, I bring it down in one strike and plunge it deep inside the ground. A flash of lightning strikes from the dagger the moment it touches the ground, and then the entire place is covered in blinding white light.
