Alpha Bond

Chapter 41

Oliver’s POV

Unbridled rage consumes me, and for the first time in my life, bloodthirst almost blinds me.

I want to rip this bastard into pieces for even looking at my mate, let alone desiring her.

Ella is mine, and no one can take her away from me. I will kill anyone who dared to look at her in the wrong way.

Growl ripples from my chest as my wolf demands to be freed. However, when I look at Ella, she subtly shakes her head.

I have always willingly submitted to her because she is my Alpha. But today, following her command is torturous. It is not in my hand to go against her commands because even my wolf is submitted to her. But if this prick even thinks about touching her, I will not think once and go against her orders.

I will accept any punishment she lays in front of me for disobeying Alpha’s command, but I will not let anything happen to her.

An angry growl shifts my attention to Ella as she growls at Elena. Both are holding each other’s gaze in a silent conversation. Ella looks furious, while Elena’s calm composure seems suspicious.

Elena’s lips stretch into a nonchalant smirk as she looks at me. Something is definitely going on in her mind, and even though I don’t know what it is, I am sure I will not like it at all.

“If you think you will force Ella into healing the corpse of your mother, then you are delusional.” Elena turns to Joseph and eyes him cooly, “And if you think that these powers are going to help you to stand against us, then you are mistaken.”

Turning her head, Elena looks at both of us. Completely contrasting to her cold expression; her eyes held warmth in them as she looks at us, and then she stands in front of Joseph’s mother.

“No!” Ella yells, sounding almost hysterical, “Please, don’t.” She screams.

Joseph grabs Elena by her elbow and tries to shove her away, but she picks him up by his throat and throws him on the ground snarling at him.

Her skin turns darker, so do her eyes. I can sense the dark energies rising in her, as the shift in her aura is not hard for me to miss.

“I command you to come to me.” Her cold voice holds a command as she unflinchingly looks at the woman.

Then I witness something most magnificent yet terrifying thing. A cloud of black smoke begins to form over the woman as the place echoes with the agonizing screams of the woman.

Everyone is too shocked to react as we all silently watch the scene unfolding before us.

“You shouldn’t have invoked these powers.” Elena stares at the woman. “You are not worthy of these powers; they belong to me.”

“I pray to you, Master, help your loyal servant and lend me your strength to end my enemies.” Joseph slices his palm and drops his blood into the flame of the black candle as he begins to chant something.

The black cloud continues to thicken and hovers above the woman.

Joseph goes to his mother with a deranged look and shakes his head.

“I am sorry, mother, you have served your purpose, so now, for the last time, you will give away yourself as a sacrifice to our Master.” He slices his opens, his mother’s chest unbothered by her harrowing screams. He plucks her heart out of the chest and places it in the center of the weird drawings of the circles.

“Please, accept my sacrifice, and give me your powers.” He slices the heart into four parts and pours a black liquid over them.

Closing her eyes, Elena opens her arms. The black cloud begins to move towards her palms, and slowly it starts to emerge into Elena.

My heart drops in my chest as I realize she has become the vessel of these dark energies. She has sacrificed herself for us because even though we would have defeated Joseph and everyone on his side, the dark energies would have never left us. These powers are demonic as they are from the demon.

And such powers once invoked, then it is almost impossible to end them.

Within a few moments, Elena absorbs all the powers. When she opens her eyes, there is a bright red ring around her black pupil.

She chuckles darkly and stares at the pieces of hearts, and within a blink of an eye, they catch fire and turn into ashes.

“What did you think that you can get what you want by invoking the dark powers?” Elena smiles coldly while looking at Joseph, “With the help of black magic, you tried to possess these dark powers, the one who you believe is your Master. But I am the one who rules the darkness. Because I am the darkness.”

“I will not let you win,” Joseph growls and bares teeth. “I will kill you.”

“Do I have to remind you what I did with your twenty minions? Or how Ella protected everyone from you and your mother’s spells?” Elena smirks, her eyes glistening with glee, “You will share the same fate as your brother. Now, I know the reason why you were never given the title of the Lord because you are nothing but a bastard.” She doesn’t hold back in insulting him.

Although, if anyone else had been in Joseph’s place, I wouldn’t have been okay with Elena humiliating them. But knowing what he has done, I don’t feel sorry for him.

Joseph growls viciously. The veins on his temple look like they will explode as his face distorts.

Ella comes between Elena and Joseph when he jumps to attack Elena. Joseph has partially shifted into his wolf, and Ella grabs his muzzle in her hands and nearly tears his face in half.

I can feel myself being freed of her command while she attacks Joseph. Each muscle of my body coils with power when my powers rush through me.

I let my Alpha take revenge for all the innocent lives that have suffered at the hands of this monster. I will fight as her protector and warrior.

Blind with rage, I shift into my wolf and tear down whoever tries to attack Ella and Elena.

These creatures are not ending, if anything, they keep on multiplying, but it doesn’t bother me. I am out for blood, and I will not stop until I end each one of them.

I don’t know how many people I have killed, but I can feel my fur drenched in thick blood.

No mercy and no forgiveness.

These words echo in my mind with each of my kills.

I turn my head and look at Ella to find her tearing Joseph's flesh with her claws. She is still in her human form, but her wolf has taken over control.

She looks furious and graceful as she plays with her prey. She is prolonging his agony as if she is punishing him for every single life that became the victim of his insanity.

Elena silently observes everything as she stands idly as if her purpose is served.

Someone tries to attack Elena, but before he can attack her, I jump in front of her shielding her from the attack.

She doesn’t fight back as she simply stares at him. I growl menacingly as the boy looks at Elena with wide eyes. He seems to be in some kind of haze, but suddenly, the look of awe turns into hatred as he growls at her.

He attempts to go around me trying to get to Elena while swinging the silver sword in her direction. The blade nearly misses her jugular, and surprisingly, she is still staring at him.

Even though Elena looks unfazed, the protectiveness which I feel for her wants him dead. So without wasting any moment, I slash his throat and chest, killing him in one stroke.

His gaze locks with Elena as his breathing stops.

“Thank you.” Elena places a hand on my fur.

But something in her voice doesn’t feel right.

A loud blast shakes the entire ground as the wall in front of goes down. As if on instinct, I push Ella behind my back, forcing her to leave Joseph, and stand protectively in front of Ella and Elena to face whatever and whoever is about to come.

Ella growls angrily at me, unhappy with me because I stopped her mid-kill, something that is not acceptable. But I don’t pay much attention to her, as my focus is on the new opening made on the wall.

A large grey wolf jumps inside and looks around with a burning glare, ready to annihilate whoever comes in his way. He looks behind me and then lets out a thundering growl when his eyes shift to me.
