Julian's POV We took down everyone in the warehouse. We lost some warriors because of the guns but we quickly killed them and everyone else backed down fairly easily. Robert had a lot of humans doing experiments on people. It was a big mess. First thing we did was get any wolf who needed medical care transported to my pack's hospital. We then sorted through those that had been injected with venom and those who hadn't and those who had vampire venom and those that had both. The entire council was here and helping us. They would be dealing with all of the aftermath and figuring out what to do with everyone. This warehouse had over one hundred prisoners. After two days of sorting through everything and trying to make sense of it, I went home along with Luca. I didn't know how anyone was. We made the drive home in silence. I knew we had people in our dungeons that needed to be dealt with and also needed to figure out where Roberts was and his other warehouses because according to some people, he had others. We got home and I jumped out of the car and went up to find Nicki. I didn't have to look far because she was busy in the Kitchen helping the cook. “Hi, Angel” She dropped what was in her hands and ran to me throwing her body at me and kissing me like she hadn't seen me in ages. “I missed you so much. I was worried the whole time you were gone” She said between kisses. “I missed you too, but this is going to be short, I have to check on everyone at the hospital and I need to talk with Colter anc Alexa before we talk with the prisoners” “Alexa isn't awake. She hasn't woken up since her surgery. I go every day and take Alpha Colter food, but he won't eat. He is: wreck” took a big breath. I knew she was hurt but I didn't know that it was that bad. I needed to get over there and check on my friend. “Let's go check on him and see if he is doing any better! I told her putting her back down. I grabbed her hand and we walked to the pack hospital. She took me right to her room. I knocked lightly and we both just walked in. Colt had his head on her bed, and you could tell that he was crying. Alexa looked bad. Like really bad. Her face wa swollen to the point of being unrecognizable, she had bite marks all over her, her arms had a cast on it and who knows what else that I couldn't see. “Colt, how are things?” I asked getting his attention. “She won't wake up. I think I am losing her?” he said with a fresh set of tears coming down her face. I walked over to the other chair and sat down and pulled Nick down on my lap. I sat there and explained everything that had happened over the last two days while he was here. “Let's go. I need to get my hands on someone that is responsible for this.” Colter said. “Iwill stay with Alexa, and let you know if she wakes up.” Nicki said. We both got up and headed to the dungeon. When we got down there, I could smell the fear of everyone that had been locked up. We had humans down here as well since they were the ones performing the experiments. I walked to the cell of a werewolf who was captured and was in charge while Robert wasn't there. Colt grabbed him by the neck and dragged him out of the cell and to the t****¢ room. I knew at this point he needed to do this his way and I had to stand back and watch. He threw the man in the chair but didn even bother to restrain him. “If you try to fucking move, I will ip off your limbs one by one and I will enjoy it. Now tell me where Robert is." “I don't know.” “Wrong answer” Colt said and he jumped on him starting to beat him. After a few minutes he stepped back and was breathing hard. I wasn't so sure if the wolf we had in here was breathing or nof “Colt, we need to get information out these guys before we kill them.” He just looked at me and took off out of the dungeons. I followed him out and told a guard to check on the man and if he was alive to put in back n his cell. I saw Colt out by the trees before he quickly shifted and took off running. I knew where he was at. I had been there when I lost my mate. He was losing control and he needed to be alone for a while. He would come back soon because he wouldn't be away from Alexa very long, I returned to the hospital to sit with Nicki until Colter returned. I walked back into the room and found Nicki holding Alexa’s hand cryine. “Angel what's wrong?” I asked her. “Iam just so sad. She didn't deserve any of this. From what I remember of her, she has always been so kind." Nicki said. “You are right, she has always been kind." I walked over to her and picked Nicki up and placed her in my lap while she sat there crying and holding Alexa's hand. We just sat here waiting for Colt to come back. I was so tired that I fell asleep with Nick on my lap. I woke up when Colter opened the door and came in. Nicki was asleep in my lap still holding Alexa’s hand. “Colt, why don't you go get a shower and some fresh clothes and we will stay here; told him. He just turned and left again. He wasn't gone long maybe twenty minutes but when he returned he came back looking a littl better and smelling a whole lot better. I picked Nicki up in my arms and turned to leave. She wiggled a little and snuggled closer to me as we left. I walked her back to the pack house and up to our room where I put her on the bed and she stayed asleep. I walked into the bathroom for a much needed shower. I tured the water on hot and stripped down and stepped under the water. It felt amazing. I let the ho water run down my body and wash away everything. I knew tomorrow was going to be another busy day with the council anc I prayed that Alexa would wake up. I finally got out of the shower and dried off and went to craw into bed with Nicki. As soon as I got in bed she rolled right over to me and was laying on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and was asleep. I woke up to the sun shining through the windows and Nicki, not in bed. I rolled out of bed and went and got ready for the day. Once ready I went downstairs figuring she would be down there eating but I found her in the kitchen helping. “Nicki, what are you doing?" I asked her. “0h good morning. I was helping with breakfast since we have extra people and they are doing so much cooking” She told me smiling. “Well let me help you" “Nonsense, you need to go out there since there are a few council members out in the dining hall” She told me. “Then you need to come with me. Since you will be our Luna they will want to meet you?" I told her smiling at her. “OK, fine but when we're done I will come back and help?” She handed the stuff in her hands to someone and walked over to me. She had some flour on her face. It was cute. I used my thumb and wiped it off, earning me the biggest smile from my mate. I grabbed her hand as we headed towards the dining hall. “Angel, you know we need to announce you to the pack soon, and we need to start planning your Luna ceremony; told her. “I really don't need a party” She said with a genuine smile on her face. “t's tradition and besides once I call my parents they are going to want to come home and I promise my mom won't let you not have a party.” “Where are your parents?” “They travel a lot. Once I took over, mom wanted to travel so they took off and come by every once in a while.” “That's so nice. I am sure they are having a wonderful time” She said. We had made it to the dining hall. I could see a couple of the council members sitting down, so I led Nicki over to them and cleared my throat to get their attention. “Good morning council, I wanted to introduce you to my mate and soon-to-be Luna, Nicki They all offered a round of congratulations and we sat down with them “Do you have any updates any things?” I asked them. “Well, we have twenty wolves that hadn't been injected with anything yet so we are able to send them home. We have 32 humans that have been injected with both wolf venom and vampire venom, I7 wolves that have had vampire venom injecter into them, and then 23 humans that have had wolf venom injected and another 28 humans that were injected with vampire venom.” “Were there any humans that weren't injected?” I asked them. “Unfortunately not” “Have you interviewed anyone being held in the dungeon yet?” asked. “No everyone needed some sleep” “Iwill go down there today and start interviews” I told them. “We figured as much. Is there any news on Alpha Alexa?” Another asked. “No change as of right now” The Omega's started to bring breakfast out and as soon as it was set up we all got up and fixed our plates. Nicki and I went and sat back down with the council and ate our breakfast. We all made small chit chat staying away from the topic of Robert Once done Nicki went back to the kitchen to keep helping and I went to my office to get started on the mountain of paper I had. “Luca, my office” I sent him a mind link to come here. It wasn't long before he knocked and came in. “Hey, boss man, what's up?” He said as he came in and sat down. “We need to go down to the dungeon and start interviews. You're coming with me. I just want to make sure that Colter doesn't want to come also.” “How is Alexa doing?” “No change” “Crap I was hoping she would be awake. She didn't deserve this." Luca said with a sad look on his face “I know but we can't do anything but pray to the moon goddess now." “I need to talk with Lauren before we go down there,” Luca said. “Is everything ok with you guys?” “Never better. She just wanted to do some shopping but with everything going on I don't want her to leave the pack house right now” “I agree. Tell her once things settle down we will take her and Nicki shopping. I am sure Nicki could use some things. I took her from her house with a bag of clothes and she hasn't been back” “Luna is great. She is always helping somewhere in the house.
