After Grandma Died I Gave Up Loving Him by Cynthia Young

Chapter 3

chapter 3

Ever since the video went viral of Sheldon coldly ignoring others on set, scooping up Lindsay and walking away, everyone knew this lady had the Screen Legend’s protection – no one dared look down on her.

I don’t know when it started, but now he spent more time with her than with me.

We had an argument about it.

But he claimed he just felt Lindsay was too pitiful, like me, so he couldn’t help but take better care of her – that’s all. Thinking about it now, I can’t help but laugh at my naivety.

Look, I’m not even dead yet, and he’s already started looking for a replacement.

I said sarcastically, “Since he cares about you so much, you two might as well be handcuffed together. But now, please get out of my house.”

Sheldon’s voice tinged with anger, “Cynthia! How many times must I say it? Nothing happened between Lindsay and

me!”

“This is clearly just something I have to go through for work! You’re being so narrow–minded!”

“If you continue like this, I think it’s necessary to fire you.”

When he mentioned “fire“, his tone unconsciously became heavier.

I said coldly, “Sheldon, you don’t need to mention it, I’ve already resigned.”

“Also, if you don’t get out of here, I’m calling the police.”

Sheldon’s face was gloomy, but he said nothing more.

After a long while, he rubbed his brows, obviously a little tired, “Cynthia, is it necessary for us to quarrel like this?” I picked up a bucket of water and poured it at him.

“What do you think? Sheldon, you probably can’t imagine how sad I was when you used work as an excuse to date other women.”

“You never consider my feelings. You just treat me as a plaything. You coax me when you’re happy and throw me aside when you’re unhappy.‘

“From the moment you brought Lindsay in and said you wanted to give the house to her, I wanted to pour water on you.”

“You are so shameless.”

The water splashed all over him. He wiped his face and said angrily, “Cynthia! If you want to lose your temper, you should consider the occasion. Am I spoiling you too much?”

Lindsay’s eyes flashed with schadenfreude, but she smiled bitterly and said, “Sheldon, I’m really sorry for the situation between you and Cynthia now. But, Cynthia, don’t worry, this is the last time I’ll work with Sheldon. After this is over, I’ll announce my retirement and won’t bother you anymore.”

Sheldon looked at her fiercely, his eyes full of anger and heartache, “Why are you apologizing to her? You have a seriously ill mother at home. What will you do to earn money to treat your mother’s illness if you quit the

entertainment industry?”

He looked at me again with an icy glare, “Cynthia, apologize to Lindsay!”

I chuckled, “Sheldon, I haven’t done anything yet. You want me to apologize for no reason? Fine, kneel down and beg

me.”

Lindsay’s eyes suddenly turned red. “Cynthia, I’ve already apologized to you, why are you still being so aggressive?” Sheldon’s voice filled with anger, “Cynthia, don’t force me to break up with you!”

I took a step forward.

“Go ahead, haven’t we already broken up?”

Sheldon immediately shielded Lindsay behind him, as if I were some vicious beast, and said vigilantly, “Cynthia, I warn you, if you dare do anything to Lindsay, I will never…”

I interrupted him sarcastically, “You think too much. She has you, the Screen Legend, as her protector. What can I do to her? I just want to grab the broom beside her.”
