After Grandma Died I Gave Up Loving Him by Cynthia Young

Chapter 2

chapter 2

I replied indifferently, “Sheldon, I want to resign, and we break up.”

I hung up the phone before he could say anything.

And I blocked all means of contact with him.

When I came to my senses, my eyes started to hurt again.

It would be a lie to say it doesn’t hurt.

After all, we had been together for almost ten years.

The government gave me some compensation, and I took my grandma’s ashes to Hai City and moved into the house she used to live in.

Before she passed away, my grandma once said she was from Hai City, and if she died one day, she hoped to return to her home, which would be like returning to her roots.

But I didn’t expect to see Sheldon and Lindsay in the house.

Lindsay hugged Sheldon’s arm and shook him, “Sheldon, you are so good to me that I can’t believe you want to give me

this house.”

“It’s a bit old, but the air is good and there’s the sea across the street. It can still be lived in after some renovation. When I want to see the sea, I would stay here for a few days…”

་་

Sheldon raised his lips into a gentle smile, “It’s up to you.”

I never thought that Sheldon would give the house to Lindsay.

I clearly told him that this house belongs to my grandma.

His light words “It’s up to you” shattered my remaining sanity.

I yelled, “Sheldon, this is my grandma’s house, what qualifications do you have to give it to someone else!”

Hearing my angry voice, they both turned around at the same time.

Maybe he didn’t expect me to be here, and was stunned for a moment.

Lindsay looked at me with a smile, “Assistant Cynthia, didn’t you say you were going back to see your grandma? Why are you here?”

Her words successfully turned Sheldon’s face cold, “Cynthia, is lying fun? I’ll settle the score with you when I get back!” It turned out that he thought I was lying to him when I said I was going to look for my grandma.

And he thought I just followed him here secretly because I was angry and couldn’t let him go.

Maybe I look too bad.

Sheldon’s tone softened. “Since you are here, I’ll mention this to you. Today is Lindsay’s birthday. She has taken a fancy to this house. Ask your grandma for it. I’ll buy it.’

He didn’t discuss it with me, but informed me directly.

But on what grounds!

That is the only thing that grandma left in this world.

There was a dull pain in my heart.

Grandma, you see, we were all deceived by Sheldon’s sincere appearance.

I suppressed my anger and said, “Impossible!”

Lindsay curled her lips slightly, but said apologetically, “Cynthia, don’t be angry, it’s just a house.”

“I know you’re still upset about Sheldon standing you off a few days ago and going to the crew to accompany me. I apologize to you. I’m sorry.”

“But he didn’t mean to make you wait so long. I was accidentally injured by a prop later. Sheldon took care of me for a long time and didn’t get enough rest, so…”

Sheldon also agreed. “Yes, she is injured. As a partner, what’s wrong with me taking care of her?”

Lindsay is a rising starlet. She possessed a delicate, pitiful facade that belied an indomitable inner strength, and she caught the attention of Sheldon during a performance with him.

From then on, things got out of control.

Sheldon became more and more interested in her and he would provide any good resources he could find.

If she was bullied on the crew, Sheldon was the first to stand up for her.
