Chapter 103 

When Lucas heard that, he only glanced at him indifferently. He felt that Benjamin did not know his place at all. He was only slightly better than Elizabeth. Lucas suspected that it was the credit of the camera. However, Benjamin was the youngest in the family. Lucas felt that as an older brother, it was better for him not to discourage his younger siblings.

Lucas decided to edit those photos. Annabelle felt that they were already very good. After all, Lucas was good–looking, to begin with. Anyone who knew a little about photography skills would not take terrible photos.

Annabelle watched resignedly as Lucas brought the laptop over and downloaded the photo editing software.

“Annabelle. Noah’s program is almost beginning. Come quickly!” 

When Annabelle heard that, she no longer cared if Lucas knew how to edit pictures. She immediately decided to abandon him to watch the live stream. As for Lucas, he could edit the photos however he wanted. 

However, how could Lucas let her leave just like that? When Annabelle got up, he reached out and pulled her back. 

“He is just performing a song. What’s there interesting to see?” Lucas pulled her to his side and said calmly. 

Annabelle was speechless. She rebutted on the inside, “How could it not be interesting? Did he think that anyone could perform on the show? It happens only once a year!” 

“Lucas… Let us edit the photos in the living room!” Annabelle smiled brightly at Lucas and said in a soft voice. “Hmph, you are acting coquettishly for the sake of another man. Are you itching for a beating?” Lucas sneered. 

Annabelle had no words. Lucas was being too annoying. 

“Sit right here!” Lucas said righteously. 

She had no choice. Annabelle could only sit there and watch the live broadcast on her phone. 

When Lucas heard the sound coming through the speaker, he did not stop Annabelle from watching it, although he snorted 

in disdain, 

Noah’s singing voice came from the phone. Lucas, who was editing the photos, could not help but sneer. What kind of song was Noah singing? 

Lucas felt that he should have a good talk with Noah. Noah should focus on acting in movies and stop singing and going on variety shows. There was no future in doing that! 

Fortunately, only Lucas knew what he was thinking. Otherwise, he would have been ridiculed. 

Perhaps. Noah, who was originally not so enthusiastic about going on variety shows, would go on more for the sake of his dear younger brother. After all, Noah really liked to see his younger brother lose his

“Lucas is also impressive. Your company keeps so many people employed! Very impressive!” 

Lucas sneered, “Hmph!”

Annabelle was finally able to go to the living room to join Elizabeth and the others.

Elizabeth and Benjamin then took Annabelle out to set off fireworks. 

“Be careful, do not run into Annabelle!” Mary reminded them worriedly. 

“We know. We will not let Annabelle play it. We will let her watch from afar!” Elizabeth said without turning her head. 

When they went outside, they saw how fun the night was. Fireworks lit up the city, one after another. The atmosphere was made even more lively. 

Even Lucas put down his work and left the house. He pulled Annabelle, who was dazed by the fireworks, into his arms. 

Annabelle leaned in Lucas’s arms. As she looked at the fireworks that filled the sky and at Elizabeth and Benjamin, who were playing like kids, Annabelle felt satisfied and happy. She hoped that every year in the future would be like that. 

After watching for a while, Lucas was afraid that Annabelle would be cold, so he brought her back to the house. 

She looked at the time and felt it was getting late, so she wanted to go back to her room to rest. 

At that moment, Mary stopped them. 

Under Annabelle’s puzzled gaze, Mary stuffed a few cards into her hands. 

“From me. Timothy, and Lucas‘ grandparents!” Mary could not help but smile when she saw Annabelle’s surprised 

expression. 

After her grandfather passed away, Annabelle never received any blessing cards. Neither would her parents write it for her. Her late grandfather was the only one who would write her a personal blessing card every year. 

She had not received one since her grandfather’s passing. 

Annabelle didn’t blame her parents for their inaction. Although they never wrote her cards, they prepared gifts for her and Nathan every year. 

Annabelle was very pleasantly surprised to receive the blessing cards. 

“Thanks, mom and dad! Help me convey my thanks to grandpa and grandma!” Annabelle held the blessing cards and thanked Timothy and Mary with a smile. 

Lucas, who was standing at the side, could not help but chuckle when he saw Annabelle smiling so happily. She was really easy to satisfy! 

At that moment, Elizabeth and Benjamin also came in. When they saw the blessing cards in Annabelle’s hand, Elizabeth was not happy.
