Chapter CHAPTER TWENTY TWO
Jacob, feeling a sense of home, took off to Mount Pioneer. When he arrived, he found the Theorians in a frenzy. Jacob headed to the center of Mount Pioneer where a large crowd had gathered.
“What’s going on?” Jacob asked a stranger.
The woman said, looking up at him, sighed.
“It seems that Marcus has slipped into a coma, Zero’s missing, and November is on earth looking for one of our siblings.
Rushing to the top of the mountain, Jacob found Connor.
“Hey, My name is Jacob. Jenny and Zero told me I would be needed. I think I had to run in with Gordon”.
“Jacob. Oh my goodness. November just left to go to Earth and find you. Don’t head down though. He’ll be back soon, and we can get you squared away. Zero, on the other hand, is missing”
“And what about the girl. He had a girl with him... Jenny”, Jacob asked.
“Jenny had been captured by Gordon. He’s now keeping her in his lair.” Connor said matter of fact like.
“Oh”, Jacob said not realizing the gravity of the situation. A lot had taken place since he had last seen Zero and Jenny.
“Yes. He ’s keeping her there and she’s decided she’s going to marry him. She thinks marriage will stop him from killing any more of you all.”
“That’s unlikely”, Jacob said. “I just finished dueling with him on earth. When I turned into a scorpion, he took off.”
“A scorpion you say. Oh the irony”, Connor chuckled.
“Huh”, said Jacob.
“Never mind that. Let me get you to the matriarch so we can start preparing you. I’m told that you’re going to be the next councilman.”
“I had no idea,” replied Jacob.
“Come on. Let’s go! We’ve got things to do,” urged Connor.
Connor led the way, escorting Jacob to the matriarch.

Back on Earth, November arrived at Jacob’s grandmother’s house. When she opened the door, she seemed to have recognized the man standing in front of her.
“November? Is that you?”
“Yes”, he replied with confusion in his face. “Do I know you?”
“No you don’t honey”, Grandma said with a smile on her face, “but the stories are true. And you look just like they said you would.”
“And who is they?”, questioned November.
“Oh you know… your Theorian buddies...” Her voice seemed to trail off. She seemed to know something about November that he didn’t know. But this was not the time or place to have that discussion.
“Listen, I’m here to find Jacob. Have you seen him?”
From the back room walked in Prosper. “Hey who are you,” He questioned.
“I’m ...”
Before he had a chance to get out his name, Grandma turned around and said, “that there young man is November.”
“Oh, you must be looking for Jacob then.” Prosper added.
“Have you seen him?”
“No, he flew off to thearea or Theo... You know, where you live theolian”.
“No dear,” grandma started. “They are called Theorians.”
“Pioneer. Did he go to Mount Pioneer?”
“Yeah”, prosper interrupted. “He left a couple days ago. I’m just hanging out with Grandma here. And she’s been telling me all about you guys”
“Great. Just great. So he’s already left”, November said with haste.
“Yeah. I’m sure you can catch up to him by now”.
“All right. Thank you.”
Turning to leave the doorway, he gave the grandmother one more look. Something about her eyes. Seems so familiar. But he didn’t know how he knew her. There was a feeling of familiarity.
“You come back soon honey. You come back...”. Her voice trailed off as he flew up into the sky heading back to Mount Pioneer.
