You, Me And Our Genus Twins

Chapter 485

Madeline's eyes had reddened at what Sebastian said.
She could tell that what he said was not just for show.
Those words were uttered from the bottom of his heart.
It was because he really thought that way that he could say it out loud.
Furthermore, what he said was the truth.
This meant that he knew her well.
In fact, she was aware of how good he was to her.
But just like he said, she had lived a careful life lowering herself because of her experiences during her younger years.
Although Sebastian was legally her husband, and he was great to her to the point she couldn't find a flaw in him, to her,
Sebastian was an omnipotent god whom she worshiped and admired.
She had never thought of him as her husband when all she felt for him was admiration.
But now... Her heart was heavily thumping in her chest as a bittersweet wave washed over her.
He knew her so well...
It turned out that he wasn't a god who was out of reach. Instead, he was a man who genuinely understood her.
He was her man...
Her head dropped when those heart-wrenching emotions filled her. Her mind was now full of Sebastian's handsome and flawless
face.

She could remember the way he gazed at her with his head lowered and a smile on his face.
Or how gentle and loving he was when he coaxed Quincy and Joel.
He might not say it, but he was always full of smiles in front of her.
It was only now that she suddenly realized how he had unknowingly crept into and occupied her heart...
Everyone behind Sebastian, and Crystal, who was in Michael's arms, felt their eyes turning red as well upon hearing Sebastian's
heartfelt confession.
Her tears would already be falling if it wasn't because of how hard she was holding back since it was her daughter's big day.
Madeline was touched to hear Sebastian's words, but Crystal was filled with sorrow and grief.
Her dear daughter should have been the only daughter of the Wendel Family, and she should have been raised in a loving
environment, living life as she wanted.
However, it was because of Crystal and Michael's mistake that Madeline had to live a tough life outside of their home.
Her daughter should have been proud and free, but she was a humble and careful woman as mentioned by Sebastian.
Madeline didn't even dare to express her true emotions to others, so she restrained herself and grew into a sensible person.
Crystal herself was pampered growing up. All her life, she could cry or laugh as she wanted, and no one would blame her for it.
But her daughter had gone through God knew how many grievances while she was out of Crystal's sight.
The more she thought about it, the more her heart ached as though it was being crumpled. She held Michael's hand tight as she
breathed, "We owe Maddie too much. We must treat her ten times—no, a hundred times better from now onward!"
Sebastian's words were also uncomfortable to hear for Michael.

That was what his daughter Sebastian was talking about!
Any daughter of his should be free and reckless, but his flesh and blood had grown into a cautious person because of her past
experiences.
Heartbroken, he gravely nodded and agreed, "Don't worry. We will never let her suffer one bit in the future!"
So, what if Madeline was marrying into the Hart Family?
If they dared to cause his daughter any grief, he would do anything to avenge her!
But now that he had witnessed how Sebastian was to Madeline, he realized he had thought the worst.
As a man, he could tell that Sebastian was true to Madeline.
A lot of people thought that Sebastian was kind and respectful to his daughter because of the two children.
However, he could tell that that wasn't the case.
The reason Sebastian was good to Madeline was that he had been swept off his feet by her charm.
Michael didn't doubt it, though. Anyone with eyes could see how brilliant his daughter was.
What was more, Madeline had given birth to two sons for Sebastian.
It was only natural Sebastian would like Madeline when they had children with both their blood flowing in them. Topping that off
with Madeline's charm, it would be difficult for Sebastian to not fall for her!
Myla, being the sentimental lady she was, was also moved by Sebastian's words.
She had a few more questions planned at first, but those words he uttered had wormed their way into her heart, warming up her

chest. What a wonderful brother-in-law!
Now that she was touched, she had no intention to continue making things hard for Sebastian, thus swiftly opened the door.
The groomsmen quickly swarmed in when they saw the entrance was clear.
Sebastian's eyes instantly fell on Madeline, who was sitting on the bed all dressed up.
She was already gorgeous, but she had a different type of beauty now that she was in a wedding dress, had her hair styled, and
had exquisite makeup on.
She was calm and peerlessly elegant in the past, but today, she looked magnificent and glamorous.
But her daughter had gone through God knew how many grievances while she was out of Crystal's sight.
His eyes darkened when he recalled how his best friends had made fun of him.
"Seb, you must be God's son. You got two sons and a drop-dead gorgeous wife all in one package. Who other than God's own
son would have such good luck?"
Their words made a lot of sense, now that he thought about it.
He probably really was God's own son for him to unknowingly have two bright sons and their perfect... mother?
He was amused by the thought that flashed through his mind. With a smile on his lips, he walked slowly to the bed and said to
Madeline according to their marriage custom. "I have come for you, Maddie."
"This won't do!" Myla started complaining again. "My dear brother-in-law, you have to get on one knee and give Madeline the
flowers before you say that!"
Sebastian swiftly did as he was told and got down on one knee. "Maddie." He pushed the bouquet in Madeline's direction. "I
have come for you!"

Despite the hot tears welling up, Madeline kept a bright smile on her face while she took the flowers with one hand, and
Sebastian's hand with another.
Seeing Madeline help him up, Myla let out a 'wow' and teased, "Madeline is head over heels for Sebastian! She is already upset
and helping him up even though he has only kneeled for a second!"
Crystal was smilingly looking on from the door. She was pleased with this niece of hers.
Even though Myla was only a young lady who grew up protected, she had a pleasant personality unlike a lady born with a silver
spoon. She read the room well and was eloquent enough to say all the right things.
It seemed that she hadn't picked the wrong person to be the bridesmaid, after all.
Embarrassed by Myla's words, Madeline only smiled without saying anything.
"Sebastian, it's time for you to look for the shoes!" Myla reminded Sebastian. "Madeline can only leave with you after you find the
shoes and put them on Madeline with your own hands."
Hearing that, Sebastian nodded and gave a short reply as his eyes scanned around the room.
His close friends had been nagging him about this nonstop on their way here.
Even though his friends were still bachelors, they came from big families, and almost all of them had attended the weddings of
their siblings. They hadn't experienced getting married themselves, but they had watched enough to know how it went. When
they were on their way here, they 'lectured' him about tons of things he might or might not have known before this.
