Chapter Epilogue
One month later
President Martin stood in front of the White House behind a light brown wooded podium. Camera flashes went off and people speaking amongst one another. He held his hand up to silence the crowd that had gathered.
"One month ago today, our beloved capital has been infultrated by these so called Rebellions, or whatever they decide to call themselves. They've broken into the most heavily guarded prison and they've broken into the White House. They rescued their so called leader, thinking they have the upper hand."
He went quiet for a moment as he stared out at the crowd.
"These criminals, they've think they've won, they think they have the upper hand. But I am determined to find this group, and slaughter each and every one of them. We will not let them take over our nation. President Lawrence insisted on unitying, equalizing the entire nation with his law, and I will not be the President that lets it fall. We will find these so called rebels and destroy them, starting with their precious leader."
More flashes went off and people began speaking up once again, talking amongst one another, but they were silenced again.
"I ask each and every one of you who are here today, to take this fight with me, help find them and help me stop them. Together, we will not let these bandits get their way."
As his speech ended, the silence of the crowd erupted into cheers. People clapping, whistling. President Martin gave them a wave and a nod before stepping away and making his way back inside the building.
My eyes flickered over to Ben on the other side of the crowd. We gave eachother a nod before we followed the crowd out and went our separate ways to not be seen. Once we knew we were away from everyone, I turned to look at him.
"He's planning to take us down, for good." I said with arms crossed as we stood in alleyway.
"It's not gonna happen, cause now we know what he's up to." He said to me as he peeked around the corner to make sure no one was around.
"We don't know what his plan is. Or when it's gonna happen."
"We do know he's got the people involved, and now we know, thousands of people are with him, we're still outnumbered."
The two of us stood there in silence as we thought for a few minutes.
"Looks like we have a lot of work to do." Ben said breaking the silence. I gave him a nod and the two of us proceeded to head back to the bunker. Ben kept a look out, making sure no one saw us or followed us. But we took paths where there weren't any people around.
Once we got to the woods and on the platform, Ben pulled out his walkie-talkie and pressed the button.
"Alright Kyle, let us in."
A second later the platform began lowering and the two of us looked around to make sure there was no one watching. As we got to the bottom, Alec approached us and looked between the two of us. Krista, Noah, Joe and Linda right behind him.
"And?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. I glanced at Ben and he gave me a nod.
"President Asswipe wants a fight, we're gonna give it to him." I answered, a small smirk on my lips.
