Chapter 113
I keep my hold on her and feel her body going limp. A part of me wants to end her life right at this moment, but the other part of me wants to prolong her misery and give her a slow and painful death and I am torn between both parts.
However, I decided to end her life because people like her should not exist on earth, the quicker I remove this trash from the earth, the better it is.
But suddenly, something pricks my arm and momentarily I feel my whole body is on fire like someone has poured hot lava on me.
Fire is trying to fight against this pain while trying to take over. But I don’t allow her to come forward, as I have realized she has injected me with silver and if my wolf will come forward this silver will have a much worse effect on her than the pain which I am feeling.
My body is losing its strength due to the silver, but this doesn’t stop me from slamming Ophelia against the wall. My hand turns into a claw as I slash Ophelia’s face, nearly taking out her eye, making her scream wildly. I know soon I will lose consciousness, but I will inflict as much pain as I can, hopefully taking her life as well, before I lose myself to unconsciousness.
Through my heavy lids, I notice someone else walking into the room.
"Elder Benjamin,” I whisper to myself as the person's face becomes clear.
Even he’s with her.
My mind instantly thinks about Micah, was he also helping her? At this moment, I can only hope he is not.
He slaps Ophelia across her face and he turns to face me.
“Stupid Bitch! What I have told you not to go to her alone?” He turns his head towards Ophelia, who is glaring at me with hatred while the only thing which is giving me satisfaction, in this pain, is her bloodied face which is result of my handiwork, “We can only handle her when her wolf is gone. Because with her wolf we can’t do what we have to do.”
Something flashes in his hand and before I can comprehend what it is, he swings it across my chest making a huge gash from my collar bone towards my mark. Immense pain causes me to fall on the floor, as my body convulses and darkness dances before my eyes.
The last thing which I see before closing my eyes is both of them sitting before me, and pressing their fingers on my open wound, then licking my blood off their fingers with a sick smile on their faces.
Donovon’s POV
“They are hurting her.” A sudden pain grips my chest and instantly my heart tells it is Ivory’s pain which I am feeling.
Since Ivory has been gone, the protectiveness which I am feeling over her is driving me insane. I am going nearly crazy with bloodthirst, while my wolf is just on the brink of going completely feral.
Storm has completely shut off our connection from the moment he has last heard from Fire. All he is doing is growling and howling. He has started losing his sanity, and if we don’t find Ivory soon, it will not be long when he will become feral.
While on the other hand, D is helping me in managing my anger, and surprisingly he is trying to comfort Storm as well. Although Storm almost ripped his head when he tried to talk to him, D never lost his calm.
James has been on his way, while Dad and the rest of everyone are trying to find any clue about the whereabouts of Ivory so we can get her back. In the meantime, I am trying hard to reach out to Ivory because it seems like she has vanished into thin air.
“Why I can’t find where she is?” Gavin growls while his eyes have a maniac look in them as he punches the wall letting out his frustration.
I am not the only one who is going insane with Ivory’s disappearance. Luca, Jenna, and Gavin have taken a blood oath which creates a special connection between Ivory and them, so their wolves are also going insane.
Jenna is not letting anyone, apart from me and Oliver, anywhere near Ella. She is in her wolf form and continuously guarding Ella while hissing and snarling at everyone who even looks in her direction. Her wolf has turned crazily protective of her as Ivory asked her to protect her. She is not even ready to let Wyatt, come near her.
A part of me is relieved that I don't have to worry about Ella, as if anyone even tried to touch Ella then Jenna will tear them into shred no time.
"Donovon..." Suddenly a whisper echoes in my mind making me go completely still. "Break your bond... if you want to save Ivory then you have to reject her."
"Reject her," I repeat as the same voice continues to echo inside my mind. "Break the bond and save her."
"Yes, break the bond." A hear that same voice again.
"No, I will not break the bond." I snap out of the compulsion as I fight against her spell which is forcing me to reject our mate bond.
"Then your Ivory will die." The voice turns angry while images of Ivory being tortured flashes before my eyes. An unreal rage runs through my veins when I saw her lying in her own pool of blood.
Something powerful consumes my entire body, and on the other hand I feel like my body is snapping into two. A scream passes through my lips as I fall on the floor and dig my hands into the mud as a sudden burst of energy surges through me.
Suddenly, everything stops and everything seems quiet. Raising my head, I see everyone is looking at me with a shocked expression.
A thundering growl fills the silence, forcing me to turn my head to the side to find Storm shaking his fur.
He turns his head towards me, giving me a view of his completely black eyes, then shifting his gaze to the front, he takes off in the same direction while letting out another ferocious growl.
"Follow him," I order everyone as I sprint in the same direction in which he went.
I don't know what has happened or how it has happened, but the only thing which I know is that if there is anyone who can find Ivory, it is her Wolfie. Because nothing is powerful than his and Ivory's bond.
