Belt of the Heavens

One by one,

And I want them to reappear.

And then, as if they heard my plea.

A Star falls from the sky, pleasing me.

I smile and wish on that first Star.

Please listen, listen, my Stars.

Please listen to me.

Don’t go too far.

I wish for happiness.

And hope my mistakes are forgiven.

I wish to join the Stars one day.

I hope this wish is given.

I wish for the fallen Stars to guide me.

To guide me through this journey.

I wish for peace.

Peace for me.

Then another Star falls, with others trailing behind it.

But no,

These Stars are not falling, they are flying.

Shooting Stars filled the sky.

The sky looking beautiful, oh my.

Memories fill my head then.

And I knew they would never fade away.

Oh, why did I have to lose everyone

Why did they leave me in dismay?

A voice filling my head, telling me to stay.

He said, “You are the Star of my darkest nights.”

And his voice made me smile.

Then another came,

“When you go to sleep, remember you and I lay under the same Stars.” He seemed to say.

And I believed him.
