Chapter 63

Demon POV

The sun rises as I see Knox killing the last of the Night Pack.

The children were pushed off into the woods for other packs to find them stumbling through the forest.

I clap Knox’s shoulder and look around, “Was there any problems or deaths on your end?”

“Of course not. Do I look that weak to you?”

Laughing I see Pam give a pregnant woman a John’s head, smiling and rubbing her belly.

She takes the gift from her smiling and genuinely happy after the other psychos surround her almost protectively.

“Prepare yourself”

Before I could ask him what he meant. A force crashes into my side wrapping their arms around me.

The slight tingle around me helps put a smile on my face as I put my face in Onyx’s hair, “I missed you.”

“I missed you too”

Tighten my hold I lift her in the air spinning, letting others hear her laughter and finally able to have peace of mind.

No unnecessary fears that can’t be reasoned with.

No one attacking Alex and Micky. They are now safe.

Everything is almost complete and at peace.

A month passed as the doors to the castle burst open.

Amos and Zhaire walks in front of us deflecting any attacks that the King seemed to try to throw.

The body of soldiers lead up to the grand office doors that are soon on the ground after a tiny kick from me.

Onyx and I walk in the room with her hand tucked in my arm, the king sat shivering in his chair with the queen and his sons standing behind him.

The room stays silent, and no one moves as I wait for one of the men to be a damn gentleman and offer my woman a chair or something, but it stays silent as they all seem to glare at us.

I sigh, “Why must every guy I meant I have to teach a damn lesson to? Amos teach them chivalry please.”

Amos appeared behind the king and throws him out of the seat, “Here you go, Chieftains”

Zhaire and Felix throws the rest of the king’s family in front of the desk making a way for us.

Letting Onyx sit in the chair, I see Esmeralda snapping a picture of us before trying to hide the phone.

I’ll deal with her later.

The king started yelling about something, but I blurred it out as I looked to Onyx sitting in the chair like a goddess.

Shadow remind me to get her a chair like this.

I was going to do that regardless.

A rush of wind screamed trying to attack Onyx, but Shadow’s speed set his claws deep into his neck and rips it away from his body.

The king’s body falls on top of the desk and sighing I chuck what was in my hand on top of the body as Zhaire pulls it away from us.

I see the queen weeping and two of her sons angry and hurt with tears in their eyes.

Her third son, the middle child, didn’t have one once of feeling towards the king. His eyes should hope but then it died as he looked to the eldest and youngest. As if there was no help if they were in line for the throne.

Leaning against the Onyx’s chair, my eyes staring into his, “Well, that could have gone better.”

His breath catches and he starts stuttering, “Uhh-hh-hh, yeah iit could have”

“Do you know what your father did wrong?”

He bite his lip and starts to look at his mother, turning into a turtle from her glare.

“Don’t break eye contact, roll your shoulders back and answer him.” Onyx called to him.

He quickly did what she said before thinking quietly and the queen decided to open her mouth, “My mate did nothing wrong.”

I nod to Sonja hidden in the shadows. Sonja slits her throat and steps back in the shadows like a ghost.

The two weeping sons fall to their knees crying for their mother.

The boy said his answer, “He didn’t acknowledge you and then he failed to see you as a threat?”

Onyx nods and I give the boy a smirk, “Everyone is your enemy until they have gained your trust and respect. Loyalty means absolutely nothing. Loyalty can be a weapon along with trust and respect so be wary of who you give anything to. Understand?”

He nods slowly, “Are you here to kill us?”

Onyx looks at me and I stare back, “I think he will be fine”

“I think so as well”

I shake my head to the boy, “You won’t die today but I can’t say the same for your brothers.”

The boy finally turns pale and looks to the youngest one.

Nathan steps out from behind the door and kills the eldest brother, the youngest is left unharmed.

“Chieftain, there is a baby in the next room. A girl.”

The boy takes a step, “Stay away from her.”

Raising an eyebrow, I start to move to teach him a lesson until onyx grabs my hand, “Your sister will not die by us. So, calm yourself. What I want to know is if you are going to be able to handle your little brother? Or are we going to have to step in and get rid of him later?”

“Wh-what do you mean?”

“She means that you are going to be the next Werewolf king. Are you going to be able to handle the betrayal of him in the years to come or do we need to handle this now?”

He shakes his head, “No I can handle it, I swear.”

“Very well, now we should make a treaty or something. Don’t you think so Zolten?”
