and left the school with Jasmine.

“Sammie, are you really going to the orphanage?” Jasmine asked. She was worried when she saw Samantha’s hurried strides. She knew that Samantha would pay her respects to Jamie because she had told them. However, every time Samantha returned, she would lock herself in her room. No one could get her to come out unless she did so herself.

It was true that Samantha had business to tend to, so she went to Casey’s office, got a no

As Samantha walked faster, Jasmine kept pace. In the end, Jasmine just told her to calm down before getting the car at the parking lot. About ten minutes later, Samantha saw Jasmine’s car

“Sammie, get in”” Jasmine called out, and Samantha entered the car without saying anything. After that, Jasmine stepped on the accelerator and drove.

Meanwhile, Samantha leaned against the seat with a heavy heart and glanced at the messages on her phone, her gaze becoming colder. They were from Enzo,

Sammie’s Minion: [I’ve pressured them to give me the results overnight. After the test, the DNA of the two hairs has a match rate of more than 99.99%.J

Sammie’s Minion. [They are biological mother and daughter.]

Sammie’s Minion: [The suspect suddenly became enraged. He has taken a drug test, and the results will be out soon.]

Sammie’sMinion: [Also, there was an incident at the orphanage. They’re going to move the director’s grave because they want to build an amusement park there.]

Her face was tense as she read the messages, her expression dark like thunderclouds, and her eyes bloodshot. Moreover, veins bulged on the back of her hand holding the phone.

‘Abigail, you really do have a death wish… Are you trying to move the director’s grave without my permission? she thought.

Samantha irritably ran her fingers through her hair to smoothen them and said. “Jas. hurry up.”

Jasmine had no choice but to speed up. Because they were speeding, they were chased by several traffic police. Jasmine was forced to stop, but Samantha took something out and showed it to the traffic police.

Surprisingly, they hurriedly cleared the way after glancing at it. Im sorry. Ms. Vanderbilt. We didn’t know it was you! Quick. clear the way!” one barked.

The two were running out of time, so Samantha told Jasmine to sit in the back while the former drove. Silently, Jasmine fastened her seat belt and steadied herself.

Soon, they reached an intersection. Samantha floored the accelerator, and Jasmine’s whole body slammed against the seat. Her heart tightened.

They were escorted by traffic police on motorcycles, two on each side, while a police car followed behind. At that sight, the passersby shared confused glances, wondering what big shot had just passed by

Reaching yet another intersection, Samantha spun the steering wheel with one hand and didn’t slow down. The car swerved sideways, leaving skid marks on the road.

Jasmine felt like she was going to vomit. When did Samantha become so good at driving?’ she wondered.

The screech of the wheels on the gravel made the passersby think an accident had occurred, but they never thought they

would see a BMW drifting with several traffic police on motorcycles beside it.

After swerving in a semi-circle, the car straightened itself, and Samantha immediately stepped on the accelerator, avoiding all the vehicles in front of her. When the other drivers regained their senses, they only saw the car’s afterimage.

Then, several police cars appeared behind them. As the others thought the police would arrest that driver, they snorted and continued driving.

Samantha sped up while Jasmine started looking for a plastic bag. I’m going to be sick. As expected, Samantha hadn’t changed. She doesn’t care what will happen to us when she drives Jasmine thought.

The police finally caught up with Samantha, but another corner was ahead. Samantha turned the steering wheel expressionlessly and was even more forceful than before. The car seemed to float, and the vertigo almost made Jasmine faint. Then, it landed heavily on the ground. Samantha drove on maintaining her speed, reducing a two-hour journey to only half an hour.

The orphanage was remote, but the road was relatively flat. When the car neared its destination, it slowed down. At that moment, there were not only traffic police but also police chasing after them. The sirens echoed through the sparsely populated village, and its inhabitants came out with their meals to watch the fun without considering the consequences.

Suddenly, a little girl rushed out and tried to stop their car, followed by a middle-aged man with a cigarette in his mouth. wearing a holey T-shirt. He was large and looked fierce. As the man scanned the oncoming car, he noticed it was a luxury car, meaning its owner was a little rich.

The girl who blocked the way shouted sharply. “If you want to pass, pay up. If not, you can’t pass! Give me 200 dollars per person and 300 dollars per car!”

Seeing that, the onlookers laughed and began to eat. Meanwhile, the police got out of the car. As they observed the haphazardly built huts around them and the villagers’ faces, they noticed only the middle-aged man and the girl were cleanly dressed and fed.

One police officer retorted, I’m not going to pay you What are you going to do about it?”

Instantly, the middle-aged man with a cigarette in his mouth laughed out loud. His exposed teeth were blackened and yellowish: one could smell the vile breath from afar.

He laughed and said, “This is the first time I’ve met someone who doesn’t want to pay their toll when they pass through Walker Village. Well, she’s right. Unless you run me over, I won’t let you pass today! If you know what’s good for you, hurry up and pay!” The middle-aged man took a puff of his cigarette, spat at the group, and waved tauntingly. He was unreasonable.

Next, his accomplice picked up a stone from the ground and threw it at the police officer. At their provocation, the police officer pointed at the man and was at a loss for words. Eventually, he tried to argue with the middle-aged man.

“Wait a minute.” Samantha said. With sunglasses on, she opened the window and took a few notes from her bag. Then, she put her hand out and casually waved the money at him, but the man was unmoved. After all, these notes were clearly counterfeit.

Samantha turned her head slightly and used her middle finger to push her sunglasses up. She closed the window, turned the steering wheel, and drove toward the man. The onlookers were nearby, but the path was only wide enough to accommodate

Immediately, everyone picked up their benches in panic and moved to the sides. Although the car wasn’t slow, she gave everyone enough time to avoid it.

As they stood in the middle, the girl was so scared that she started to cry. The man also panicked and quickly dragged the

Taking a bite of chocolate, Samantha drove by, ignoring the shots behind her. The stubborn man tried to push against them, but the police officer suddenly took out a gun and aimed at him
