Unknown Darkness (2)

Chapter 9.1

I woke to sore muscles, I ached from struggling so much against the monster, I couldn’t believe he did this because of impatience.

I turned over to face the big wall window and saw Kieran’s back towards me doing up his buttons on his shirt looking outside. The sun was rising creating that outside glow in the room. I could slightly see Kieran face in the glass but I chose not to look so closely. I just laid there thinking I wanted to cry and die, that’s what it felt like right now.

“So, today you will be by my side in the office, now go get dressed” Kieran demanded without taking his gaze away from the window. To that I assumed he could see me in the reflection.

I sat up feeling cool air wrap around my skin and forgot that Kieran took my clothes off. I quickly grabbed the blanket and started off to the closet but stopped and looked to where Kieran was.

He was now rolling up his business shirt sleeves and putting on some shoes.

“Why am I going to be by your side now, especially when I feel like crap,” I groaned, “is it going to be all day?” I asked curious, with a bit of anxiety, what his answer was going to be.

I was really scared on what he had in mind and to be honest I am never by his side during the days. Confusion in my mind but curious thought laid there too.

Kieran finished up with his look and turned to me and stared at me deadly.

“Because, you always look in my office to see what I am doing so I thought you might as well come and watch.” He replied giving a smile as if he could wipe away anything in my emotions.

I huffed a silent breathed and walked into my closet and started dressing myself. Did he really want to do that or was there something truly behind his motive of having me close by?

I put on the clothes that were similar to the ones I wore the other day black shirt and fighting pants. Though this time I wore closed heels boots the ones that came up to my ankles. Brushed my hair and tied it to the side of my left shoulder. I looked into the mirror that was placed in the closet and I saw a girl who was tired and miserable. I didn’t look like myself anymore but some strange woman who looked back confused. Tired and broken down.

Straightening up and walked out of the closet and into the room with Kieran who was waiting patiently for me to come out. Looks like only place for me right now is the closet where Kieran will not even step foot in. We headed towards his office.

His office was dark with a few windows that had seating space with one another. His desk was clean with only a few papers in piles. It didn’t have a computer projector but books and a few scrolls. Back of the room was a wall size map of this new world.

When I first came in I thought it looked like an ancient map of the world when it fact I realized later it was similar to human earth but the map moved. In a way that it evolved and countries shaped different before your eyes as if it was alive and keeping real time.

I had made myself comfortable in window sill closet to the double doors of the office. But rose up as Kieran left the room for a bit.

I glanced around his desk and could see papers address to every person about something. Though one paper did catch my eye.

‘Predators near boundaries’

I picked it up since Kieran was mailing out the finals of what his reply was. The paper and message weren’t that long though.

‘Predators of unknown have been seen near the town boundaries. Size is unknown but seems wild wolf like, officers are looking into it.’

My heart dropped, and looked to up to hear Kieran coming back who was just finishing up his task. My heartbeat quickened as his shoes hit the wooden floor. I crumpled the paper and put it in my back pocket, making sure it when I am not in his presence. He cannot know about it. My only way to get away from him.

When he finally returned to look at me my hands were behind my back and I was looking at him. He obviously saw me snooping around his desk and was going to say something about but to my surprise he said something else.

“Hmm, curious are we?” He questioned, I looked down and walked away from the desk and to the window that had a seat and I sat down. I felt his gaze followed me to the seating and he walked over to the desk and sat down and resuming his work

“You know you can just get someone to do all of this for you rather than take up all the loads.” I stated.

Kieran laughed at me and looked my way. “I could but how would I know it’s done all right and the way I want it to be done” He replied, giving me that matter of fact look.

“Well, just tell them what you want and they will do it.”

Kieran stopped looking down and slouched back into his chair like he was annoyed with me.

“If I give someone a assistant job then how will I know everything that will be taken care of or something else.” Kieran replied the same answer.

I sighed.

“Well, I am not going to be your prisoner forever if that is what you are asking.” I snorted, turning my head to look out the window gazing at the road below wondering if I could see any movement.

“Well, Luv since you are going to be with me for a while, you may want to reconsider your position on who you are,” he replied.

I looked back at him in disbelief. “You really think I have accepted a lie you told me or something that might just be another manipulation” I scoffed, “You twist words, I am not this light.”

Kieran laughed like I made a joke, I looked at him in disbelief. “You actually think I am willing to become your Queen?… that’s insane” I scoffed again.

Kieran rolled away from his desk and faced me.

“Then ask yourself this, why are you the only one who can possess all four elements?”

I looked at him and rolled my eyes.

“Because I was turned, and have the apparent lineage of a Mentor, therefore I am apparently unique” I spewed as if it was distaste.

We looked at each other for a while then he got up and walked towards me, though I didn’t feel frighten I felt confident which felt little bit weird. Kieran was by my side and with his hands in the pockets looking at me admirable.

“Deny you power okay, but I guarantee you that you will become stronger, you will be respected” Kieran came in closer, “You will be powerful, you can deny your powers and everything else, but everything about you comes with a balance you just need to know where from”

I looked at him, there was something behind those words, yet I treaded carefully as if he was actually telling the truth.

“What do you know that I don’t know? Is there something actually hidden?” I inquired.

He leaned forward placing both on hands on the seat bring him near to my face.

“Well, you see love, you heard my side, it is only matter of you figuring out the rest” he stated.

“Why is everything a game to you?” I asked, not really looking for an answer, though he smiled anyways.

“Keeps you on your toes, makes you wonder and question, makes you want to know more and I am inclined to give truth.” He smirks, and backed away from me, going around his desk to look at the moving map, it seemed like most countries were at peace. Least’s that is what it showed.

“One of these days you will see this map, and something will come over you, you will think back to our conversation, realize what I have been saying to does make sense, not really a game,” he brings his arms behind his back and slowly turns to me, though studies me to see if I am actually listening.

“Truth will come and you will not know what to feel or what to see in this so called future that you want.”

He paces a bit.

I stare back the map, studying it, one thing for sure, is that I never truly looked at it in detail, it was always just a wall decoration that moved. So, I raised myself up and walked to where he stood only a moments ago, breathing feeling his presence near even though he was far, watching me look at the map.

The map was big, as I saw before, it looked so plain because of the tanned paper yet, looked so diverse with outline sketchees. It was little area that made you believe that there was much more culture and life in the outside world. It reminds me the planet earth and globes from school.

The map didn’t just show lands where, Immortals, or Lycans were, but of, fairies or goblins even elves where they were placed. It gave names, of actual lands, gave mountains and lake. When looking at a particular area it was rocky, filled with mountains, yet had green. Many lakes that scattered throughout the country, a circle indicating a capital or kingdom. I peered closer at it and labelled as ’Equitem Draco.’ I furrowed my eyes brows together.

“My home country, if that is what you are about to ask,” Kieran voice behind but distance.

I didn’t look back, but I didn’t know how to reply to him, “Does every kingdom have a capitals or are they built in the center or outside the cities like human ones?”

I felt his presence beside me, I still didn’t look. “Every country is different depending on the kingdom. My kingdom as the city surround it yet expanse outside—”

I didn’t hear the rest of his words as I began to fall with hands catching me and the light went out.

I woke up only to find the staff hushed around me, barely looking my direction. I was in laying bed, wondering what just happened.

Is it really possible?”

“I do not know, but he is adorable.”

“He does not look like master, but there are many things to question,”

I peered to where the voices were and saw the maids surround something, their voices silky smooth as if speaking a different language.

I soon found someone come by me who lifted me up into a sitting position, as I found myself weak and whispered in my ear.

“It’s a boy.”

I looked at him in surprise then at the maid who was carrying the baby, she came over slowly and gently gave the baby boy to me. I didn’t grab him rather just he was given to me and placed in my arms. I took him and looked at him.

Everything suddenly went quiet, I looked down at the little boy and saw green eyes like Wolf, his hair was blonde like mine and his resemblance was close to Wolf. I noticed suddenly a faint purple spiral of design forming at his left temple and just reaching his cheekbone. As if a crown was half formed for the lineage of a alpha

It made my heart squeeze for Wolf even more but gave me happiness. Because something of Wolf was in my arms and I couldn’t believe I was holding our son.

He would live as a happy boy who wouldn’t fear anything that was coming his way. Respected among his peers and a great leader. My one question I did fear was how Kieran was going to treat the situation and how was I going to deal with it?

Another was how much longer was Wolf was going to be with this plan to come and get me.

After having all these thought, I looked up and saw that everyone left and Kieran was sitting in the armchair by the window looking out at the rink I assumed. He faced me when I looked his way.

He wasn’t pissed or anything was he was confused. Probably confused on how I was pregnant and if the child was his if not as to which from the tattoo he assumed no.

We just stared at each other for several minutes when he finally asked.

“So, what’s the boy’s name” He spoke kindly. As he may forced the words out. Most kind he has ever been since I have been here.

I looked back down at my baby boy. What would be a good name for this little Lycan or Immortal. I didn’t think hard rather I just knew what name because I have been missing him.

“His name is Wolf-Junior” I smiled.
