Unknown Darkness (2)

Chapter 8.1

I did not expect myself to be that powerful. Though I stood there for a few seconds not knowing what to do. I was shocked and processing what just happened.

My body luckily commanded my muscles and I ran out of the room, into the hall and I stopped and looked at the front doors. I ran to them and tried the knob.

Locked, of course what was I hoping for?

I turned my head to see the closet of cleaning supplies and ran for it. Landing myself in the closet. All the energy was in me still and I tried calming my breath but I was still much hyped on adrenaline. I couldn’t believe what I just done this was insane. Hoping he wouldn’t find me I would be okay though if he did find me, I in the world for trouble.

My breathing after while started calming though I could hear footsteps coming to the door. My heart started to pound radically fast after moments of calming. I was frightened that he would find me in here. Though the footsteps did come close they only came couple meters then they were gone. I blew a quiet breath of relief till I heard a door open.

I slightly reached for the door handle and opened it and saw a wonderful thing. Kieran opened the front door and left it open probably thought I got out somehow and freaked out left the door open in search for me. I guess this was now my chance to get out of this hell and find Wolf and the pack.

I burst out the closet and through front doors running fast as I could outside hearing some of the snow and rocks hit my shoes. I couldn’t believe it, actual freedom, it almost too good to be true, yet a cold freedom as I didn’t have jacket.

I kept running past the driveway and onto the road. There were no footprints in the white shadow snow, I stopped and gazed at it.

Before I could think about it, I heard footsteps behind me, without taking a second chance I bolted it towards along the road. My breath was getting husky and my legs started to feel tight but I had to keep running. I could speed run, but my energy loss was too great.

The footsteps were distance behind me and I didn’t understand why I could still hear them. I kept running till smack into something and landed on my butt into the cool snow and ground. The snow was like a cold hug enclosing around me.

That hurt, I groaned with pain, I looked up and saw there was nothing. That didn’t make sense. How could I smack into something but have nothing there?

Getting slowly back up, I went forward but more cautiously and reached my hand out to feel what was there. I kept going till my hand felt something like a force wall against it. I leaned into it and was still. I even pushed on it. What was this force field doing here? Was this to keep me in? And why Wolf and the others could not see me?

“So, you learned that you actually cannot escape?”

I spun around to see Kieran standing before me with a amused look, with arms across his chest. With a coat wrapped around his body. I just stared at him not knowing what to do. Because all I could do was keep pressing on that force even though it was not budging.

“You know, you are not going to get away just by pushing on the force field.” Kieran continued.

I looked back at him again. He looked impressed that I was trying so hard to push my way to safety.

“Well what do you know, have you ever pushed a force field?” I said and kept trying to push my way through.

“Yes… many times” Kieran went quiet.

I looked back at him and he had a haunting stare in his eyes then his usual way of looking, it was filled more with sorrow and it was like he was being haunted by his own past. This was a first, I have never seen him like this.

I couldn’t believe I was doing this. I let my hands relax and stopped pushing just allowed the cool air the enclose around me, whatever made a memory of a force field came up was really bad.

He then faces me and gives me a dark look.

“When I was young…” He hesitated, as it was almost too painful for him. “I was the good child, I was the first born, but evil took hold of me and I decided that evil was better… you become stronger and become undefeatable. Though my parents never saw it the same way I did” He paused.

Then pursed his lips together. “I would do things that would make me powerful, somethings you and others would be questionable or never have the stomach to even bear” He shrugged his shoulders. “I didn’t care if they survived, I just wanted more power.” He sighed then slight started pacing.

“My parents wanted what they thought was demon out of me… but there was no demon.” He smirked blackness filled his eyes. “They put me in little force field on me and tried extracting whatever evil they could from me.” He then paused and snarled. “Little did they know they were actually hurting me and making me become powerful rather than helping me.”

“I could feel my limbs crushing and blood exploding in my veins…. After it was all done… I was still myself… and when they realized it still in me.” Kieran air quoted. “They put me back in that force field for many days where I would try to escape even meant severely hurting myself. Till they realized that it was actually me. They didn’t know what do to with me” He smirks.

“Finally, I had freedom to do the evil I wanted. But then when I felt your presence come to the world, that was when I knew I had to meet you, I had to attend Sky High, just so I could have you.” He smiled evilly.

I was then confused; he felt my presence come to the Sky High?

“I am not really sorry that happened to you…” I sneered at him. “But I do not understand how my attending school relates to the story.” I snapped.

He stared at me and laughed.

“Asema, Asema, Asema” He shook his head and laughed. “I would have thought you were smarter than that. Especially after the story I told you, connecting the dots.” He stated.

I kind of felt insulted there.

“Wait,” I said in little bit of shock. “You have no connection to your family even though you are invited to family gatherings… as in a way for your parents to figure you out, you say you left but reality they cut you off…”

“Hmm” He smiled “You are getting warmer.”

“That’s all I got” I said, then started putting more pressure on the force again. “Asema just stop, you are not going anywhere and if you haven’t already figured out, you were obviously not that well educated in Sky High,” he said.

I sighed and gave up.

“Fine then what the hell are you or what the hell is the point of this story?!” I shouted.

He was in front of me, and caressing my cheek and looking at me in awe. He then lowered his mouth to my ear and whispered quietly.

“Asema… the prophecies that you hear about the darkness and such…” he paused for a moment making sure I heard his next few words.

“I am the darkness of evil and you may possibly be the light, the good, that may be why I am linked to you, why I need you. We are the balances of good and evil”

My body went still, and I was paralyzed. Before my mind work my body started backing up though Kieran was to quick for me. His hands were around my wrists and I couldn’t move.

“Oh Asema… you poor girl… You should have taken the hint when I told you about the story of us.” He whispered in my ear. “Darkness has always been me…” He said then stopped. Then pulled me closer.

“I am the darkness of evil, it was created when I was born. And you are the Light of good, you are meant for me.
