Chapter 7
Wolf
The night sky was beautiful, the stars were twinkling. Wolf hoped he was looking at the same night sky as Asema As locations of Lycan stars ar different in every location. He didn’t want to be too optimistic, he rather wait on her tomorrow and see where she approaches him for now.
Wolf looked around; his father’s pack with him in the forest with the trees surrounding them so thick that they had to be careful about enemies attacking. If ever spotted. He saw men were talking, amongst others and walking around to other camps belonging to other members.
It was cold night but nothing really bothered him as if didn’t bother anyone else especially with the snow under their shoes. Their tolerance for cold was high as they were Lycan and made to live in forests where temperature drop to unbelieveable degrees.
He looked back at the fire, watched it lick and dance around in the pit. It was the only real thing right now keeping him from thinking about Asema.
“Wolf, we will get her, don’t worry” A voice said.
Wolf looked up from the fire and saw Captain Brock. Brock was standing with his hand on the hilt of his sword staring at Wolf.
He was tall big man. If anyone saw him in the human world they would think he was some godly giant. He was a Warrior of Kadea, and only one in command that Madam Mentor trusted to help lead a few warriors. Considering he been commanded by Madam that day to go get Asema.
“I know Brock…I know” Wolf replied.
Brock came and sat by Wolf on the log.
“I know you know, but you need to realize is that the Warriors of Kadea only have limited power, so be thankful enough that we were even able to get past Kieran first barrier, meaning we could be close” Brock assuring him.
“I know… I am thankful about that very much so, though it was depressing that I couldn’t even feel her” Wolf replied with a somber whisper.
Brock grunted and didn’t say anything. Wolf looked at him curiously.
“What are you going to say?” Wolf demanded he tried not to be harsh but it came out like a sneer anyways.
Brock just smiled at Wolf and grabbed his shoulder.
“Wolf if there something I have learned about saving the people we love is that sometime things may not go as planned.” He gave a faint smile. “Though in your case we need to be sure that she is well and not only person getting hurt” Brock said, then got up slowly. “Aside that Lycanthropes and Immortals are working together” Brock reminded him as Wolf followed Brock gaze around for a brief moment.
“You know Wolf it’s good thing something like this happened” Brock stated.
Wolf looked up at him utterly confused.
“It’s good that Asema was kidnapped by a crazy royal prince?” Wolf said irritated.
Brock laughed, “no not like that, I meant it’s good because it has brought people together” Brock replied then gestured towards the warriors.
“Look, Lycanthropes and Immortals are getting along like friends. We are not fighting and its helping this situation further advance than sliding back and getting nowhere.” Brock replied and walked away to his camp leaving Wolf to continue on sitting.
Wolf wasn’t sure how to interpret that message but Brock did have point about the Immortals getting along with the pack.
He got up and paced back and forth in front of the campfire stewing about this situation.
“That won’t do any good” a soft voice appeared.
Wolf stopped in mid pace and looked up to see his mother.
“Mama, we have not received her yet, what else can I do?” Wolf asked, flustered.
Accailia smiled and glided towards Wolf.
“Son, do not worry, you will get her back” She replied.
Wolf was getting angerier. “I literally was a ghost to her because the magic was not so strong” then waved his hands around, “I feel like it is going to take forever to see her,” he wanted to cry.
“Wolf I know you feel useless, but know. You were able to connect with Asema and get her chart out where she is. To that is a great success and now its a matter of moving forward, all you need now is patience.” She assured him again.
He sat back down the log and his mother joined him. The log was cool from the escape of warmth but began again to not feel like a rough cool seat.
“Mama, Asema and I were apparently prophesied together, what does that even mean, a union?”
Accailia sighed and rubbed his shoulder. “Union meant to mend something together or make alliance stronger. In this case we believe it to created a new era for a new world”
Wolf lips went into a thin line and stared at the fire dancing.
A new union and a new world, what would this new world even be? Wolf thought to himself as he and his mother continued to stare at the fire as it dance in the cool night.
Asema
I hope to wake up to a nice sunrise but rather I woke up to Kieran beside me and being more specific, cuddled into Kieran side with his arm around me. Seeing his chest go up and down from breathing and feeling that chest expand and then decompress. Guess he must have woken up to me on the floor and brought me to bed rather.
I looked up and he was looking out the window to which the sun was rising on. The room was filled with pink and red and brought in the warmth feeling. It would have been nice if I was alone and not curled up in Kieran arms.
“Isn’t it lovely” Kieran whispered.
I could feel the vibration in his chest from speaking. I looked up again and he was still looking out the window.
“Yes, it is nice I suppose” I rolled away hoping it wouldn’t get me in trouble.
“Well, I must say that is slowest you have ever moved away; I must be growing on you” He joked.
I felt him on my side with his hand coming over my stomach and pulling me to him with my back up again his chest. Feeling his lips on my ear.
“I like waking up to this” he whispered and kissed my ear.
I wanted to throw up, I wanted to ran away fast as I could just to get away from his revolting touch.
It went was cold on my side and I looked to where he was. Kieran was getting up and heading over to his dresser near the window and started to change. I guess now was my chance to lead him on to be let out again.
I got up and moved to his back and prompting my hands on his shoulders. My heart started to beat rapidly, I had no idea how this was going to go but I sure hoped it went well. If not all my disgusting seductiveness would go to would win what I did not want.
Kieran turned his head my direction with a smile on his face. He began facing me.
“What is it love” He asked.
My heart was pounding even more, I was scared and tried not to shake.
I brought my hands up around this neck bringing myself in close and now was my chance. Seeing that Kieran seemed to be enjoying this I continued on.
“Am I able to go out again, I really enjoyed yesterday” my voice slow, taking a breath while I played with my eyebrows.
Kieran cocked his head at me and smiled.
“Yes, love, you can, but I will be watching like yesterday” He replied, a hint of warning.
I know I was going to be sick, I leaned in and kissed him lightly as I could, I didn’t even want to even touch him. To my surprise he was shocked but didn’t back off. I broke away quickly and headed off to my closet without a second look at Kieran.
As I entered my closet and Kieran left the room. I fell to my knees, how could I have done that? I felt so sick inside my stomach rolling. But I had to do what I had to do. I sat there for a little longer, and just stared at the shoes where I hid the chart. This was it.
