Adilah drifted into sleep at some point she guessed but the night was filled with nightmares that were oddly familiar.
A boy with light brown hair wore a wrinkled white shirt with a yellow coat with black cuffs and yellow stitching. Brown leather shoes lay on his feet with blacked tips. He walked with his head high in confidence, surrounded by lush trees and birds of paradise. “Hey guys,” he said weakly and waved at a group of 5 other kids. All of them stopped whispering. A girl decked out in blue and white turned to face the boy. “Hi, Bolt. Why are you here?” she asked. “Um, well, I heard you guys were meeting here and I figured I would stop by,” he said moving his feet in the dirt. “Oh well. Hi? I guess you can stick around. It’s supposed to be a full-blood meeting. But I don’t care. Do you guys?” the girl turned to face the others. Three of them shrugged—one in green, one in red, and one in a darker blue. But the one in black shook her head and crossed her arms. The girl shrugged, “Nisha why?” asked Bolt. “Because it’s bad enough I have to train with a half-remara I don’t want to have to study with you too.” She said with a cold tone. Bolt’s hair stood up, “I don’t understand I was chosen just like all of you. Ever think that I am a human too! I’m done being treated like this.” He said with his fists balled up. Black clouds filled the air. and a rumble shook the group. The girl in green jumped back with her eyes facing the sky and her hands crouched up, “Uh oh, not again.” The red one nodded. “Bolt please calm down.” Said the girl in blue. “You don’t know what sort of hell I have to put up with Crystala.” Bolt’s feet lifted from the ground. “I’m not doing this anymore. You don’t need me so find another elder. I’m done.” He said floating upward. Lightning struck the forest leaving a patch of trees blackened. “Bolt wait!” said the boy in blue. But Bolt had already drifted into the clouds.
Adilah jolted up and winced. She uncovered her leg and examined it. Ivy groaned. “Why are you up?” Adilah shook her head, “I’m fine. Just go back to sleep.” Ivy’s eyes already closed, “Not gonna be a problem.” Adilah got up and walked out of the tent. She sat on a rock and grabbed a stick drawing a picture in the dirt by the moon’s light. She sighed and drew a heart in the dirt with A + A. She sighed again and looked up to the moon, and then at Aamir’s tent. It was going to be another restless night.
