Trapped I can't escape from the Billionaire

Chapter 202

Letta then descended the stairs slowly, followed by Marco who was now by her side.

"Fortunately, Desi was willing to look after Freya for a while," Letta said, making Marco smile. They were currently about to have lunch, with Freya being looked after by Desi for the time being. Letta may not have intended to use a babysitter's services, as having Desi around could help her occasionally when she needed to do something.

"Yes, you can ask another servant to watch her for a while," Marco said, making Letta nod her head. Finally, they sat at the dining table with the dishes before them, ready for lunch, with Letta immediately filling her plate. Letta really filled her plate to the brim, making Marco smile.

"Don't comment on what's on my plate, you know I have to eat twice as much as usual because Freya needs enough breast milk, so don't comment that my body will get fat again," Letta said, making Marco just roll his eyes. "Oh come on, I didn't say anything," Marco said, making Letta sigh in frustration.

"But I know the meaning behind that look and smile. You hold back. You're definitely going to tease me, aren't you?" Letta said, making Marco chuckle.

"Oh come on, I'm not that childish. I also know how a nursing mother's version looks, and your body isn't getting fat. You're just returning to your original form because when you gave birth, your body proportions were really skinny. Forgive me, it must be because I've been thinking about being far away," Marco asked, still remembering clearly how she struggled to give birth to Freya, her body much thinner than when he last saw her.

"Forget about such sad things. My body is back to normal now, and yes, it might have been me overdramatizing what happened," Letta said, making Marco caress the side of his wife's face. They then ate in silence, enjoying the food in front of them. Letta, in particular, seemed enthusiastic about feeding her favorite food, knowing that a nursing mother needed sufficient food to increase their breast milk.

Until finally, a guard approached Marco.

"Sir, there's a guest," the guard said, making Marco furrow his brow.

"Who?" Marco asked.

"Miss Arabella is waiting for you in the living room," the guard said, causing Marco and Letta's hand movements to stop. Marco immediately looked at Letta expressionlessly.

"Alright, then wait for her. I'll go there," Marco said, making the guard nod before turning around.

"Do you want to meet her with me? There must be something you want to hear, right?" Marco said, making Letta nod her head. Letta didn't deny that she wanted to know what was going on between Marco and Arabella, especially after the previous scandal involving them.

Eventually, Marco and Letta stopped their lunch. After that, they met Arabella, who was already in the living room. Letta paused when she saw Arabella and some gifts next to her.

"Did my arrival surprise you?" Arabella asked with a wide smile, making Marco just shrug indifferently, while Letta still didn't know how to express her feelings in welcoming this unexpected guest.

"I'm sorry for coming without notice, but I decided on it suddenly because I just arrived and have to go back to Paris soon," Arabella said, making Marco nod his head.

"So, what's your purpose?" Marco asked, now sitting in front of Arabella, holding Letta's waist tightly.

"As I said, I want to explain something to your wife. I just want to keep my promise. Even though I know you've already explained it, well, at least making your wife sure is the safe way," Arabella said, winking at Letta, who could only stay silent while blinking her eyes.

"Alright, let's just get to the point as you've heard before that there was a scandal between me and Marco. That's true," Arabella said, making Marco widen his eyes, while Letta immediately looked at Marco with questioning eyes. "Oh, come on, don't worsen the atmosphere. If you just want to do that, it's better for you to leave," Marco said, making Arabella just smile.

"I'm just kidding. Why are you both so sensitive," Arabella said again. Arabella then looked at Letta, who was still looking at her very cautiously. Could it be that Letta really saw her as someone who would compete for Marco's heart, Arabella thought, for some reason feeling even more excited to tease Letta.

"Earlier, I brought some gifts for your child, what's her name, Freya, or whatever it is, and thanks to the birth of your daughter, I finally have a reason to come and meet you," Arabella said again, still not getting any response from Letta. "Well, these are just small gifts. I couldn't choose the gifts, so I hope you like them," Arabella said again, making Letta finally try to force a awkward smile.

"Thank you for the gifts," Letta said.

"I know that this might be our first meeting since you lost your memory, and we have met a few times before, even though you don't remember," Arabella said again, making Letta fall silent. Letta was frozen not because of her past encounters with Arabella, but about Arabella's face, which looked truly beautiful, much more beautiful than she had seen on the screen before. Could it be that Marco rejected such a beautiful woman just to marry her, Letta thought, starting to feel a bit doubtful.

"I just want to clarify whatever you're currently thinking about me and Marco. We did have a relationship before, but long before that, we were childhood friends. So, we began to realize that what we had was just childhood affection. That's what someone told me, but for some reason, I also agreed, because right now I'm also in love with someone. So, don't worry about the scandal that surfaced some time ago, I deliberately created it because I wanted to get the attention of a man who is now kneeling before me. Yes, forgive me for taking advantage of the situation, but he also needs my help, so I have to have a fair return for this business, right?" Arabella said, making Letta blink her eyes as she listened to the explanation from the woman in front of her.

"So, basically, you don't have to worry that I have a scandal with your husband, because I already have another ideal man, and I'm not interested in a man who has dumped me," Arabella said, looking at Marco with a displeased expression, while Letta started to soften her smile as she heard Arabella's story. It turns out the woman in front of her wasn't as bad as Letta had thought. Arabella turned out to be a friendly and cool person. Although their relationship had once been as lovers, maybe because they had been friends for a long time, they didn't seem awkward around each other.

"Well, haven't you explained everything already? So, you'll leave now, right, because I have to check on our baby," Marco said, subtly ushering Arabella out, making Arabella widen her eyes.

"Oh, at least be polite and let me meet your daughter, just this once. After that, I'll go to Paris, and who knows when I'll come back to this country again. Are you that mean to your childhood friend? Remember, I see you as a childhood friend, not my ex-lover, okay?" Arabella asserted, making Letta finally smile broadly at their interaction.

"Well then, would you like to see our baby before you go?" Letta asked, finally making Marco smile, as did Arabella. It seemed Letta was beginning to understand Arabella's explanation that there was nothing between them.
