Chapter 201
Letta smiled broadly as she was finally allowed to go back to their big house, after spending several days receiving treatment at the hospital. Finally, she could take Freya back home. "Are you happy?" Marco asked, as Letta, who was currently cradling Freya in her arms, nodded her head.
"Of course, I'm happy that we can finally bring Freya back home. There won't be any more hospital-smelling rooms surrounding her," Letta said, causing Marco to nod in agreement. "Yes, I'm also glad that we can bring you both back home," Marco said, gesturing to the driver to bring their car. Marco and Letta both smiled as they saw Freya sleeping soundly in Letta's arms.
"She's a good child, she doesn't wake up too often at night, and she's not fussy. It will make it easier for me to take care of her," Letta said, making Marco smile too.
"Are you sure you won't need the help of a babysitter?" Marco asked, making Letta shake her head.
"No need anymore. Usually, I just stay at home all day. I would feel a little guilty if I used a babysitter to take care of our child. Unless I were a career woman with a life outside, maybe I would use their services," Letta said, making Marco smile at his wife. After that, he gave her a brief sweet kiss, making Letta blush immediately. It always caught Marco's attention.
"Thank you for bringing happiness to me," Marco said, making Letta nod.
"Thank you. You're always there for me and bring all that happiness," Letta replied. They then chatted a bit during the journey until their car arrived in front of Marco's large house. Slowly, Marco opened the door, making the guards immediately line up in front of them, bowing to welcome Marco, Letta, and Freya. Letta just smiled as she continued to step forward, assisted by Marco, opening the big door in front of them that was wide open. Letta immediately widened her eyes when she saw Desi and the house servants holding bright pink balloons with the words "Welcome Home" for Freya, making Letta smile at Marco, who also looked sweetly pleased.
"Welcome, young Miss Freya,” Desi and the other servants said, making Marco and Letta smile at each other.
"Thank you for the welcome. Did you prepare all this yourselves?" Letta asked, making Desi nod her head.
"Yes, we took the initiative to welcome our young Miss. I apologize if it's not as lavish as you might have imagined," Desi said, causing Letta to shake her head.
"Well then, we should go upstairs. It seems like Freya needs to rest soon," Marco said, making Letta nod. They proceeded to go back inside and ascend the stairs. However, when Letta was about to step into their room, Marco stopped her, causing Letta to look up at her husband with a raised eyebrow.
"Why?" Letta asked.
"I want to show you something," Marco said, making Letta immediately furrow her brows as her husband led her to a room right next to theirs. Letta knew this was the guest room. "Why are we here?" Letta asked, making Marco just smile.
"I want to show you something," Marco replied, making Letta even more curious. What could her husband possibly want to show her? Until finally, Marco reached out and opened the room that had been completely transformed, making Letta widen her eyes. They couldn't even say anything. Just by seeing how the room had been transformed so drastically from before. Letta only knew that it was a white-themed room specifically designated for guests or any purpose. But now, the room had been transformed with a harmonious mix of pink and white. White and pink balloons were also hanging in the room. Additionally, there was a baby basket in the middle, not to mention the gifts and dolls surrounding it, leaving Letta unable to even comment.
"When did you prepare all this?" Letta asked, making Marco smile.
"Actually, it wasn't me who prepared it, because you know I've been busy waiting for you at the hospital and haven't had time to prepare anything. Even for the small gifts for our daughter, I still haven't had the chance to do it," Marco said, making Letta squint at him.
"Then did Desi and the others prepare all this?" Letta asked again, making Marco think for a moment.
"It seems like they also played a part in setting up all these things," Marco answered, making Letta even more confused.
"Actually, Mommy prepared all this. I mentioned to Viko that I needed to decorate a baby room for our little daughter, but I didn't have the time. It seems Viko took it to heart and immediately told Mommy. She contacted me right away to say that she would decorate one of the rooms near ours, for our little daughter. I also didn't expect Mommy to prepare all these gifts and decorate it so beautifully. I thought she would just provide a baby basket that we could move to our room, but her enthusiasm was truly exceptional," Marco said, making Letta smile with teary eyes. It was a clear sign that Helena truly accepted Freya's presence within their family. Although Letta had been slightly uncomfortable with Helena's distant demeanor before, the evidence of her care made Letta smile emotionally and look at Marco.
"Thank you for welcoming Freya in such a way. So, why didn't Mommy come with us to bring Freya home?" Letta asked, making Marco reach out and gently stroke Letta's cheek.
"It seems Mommy also wanted to accompany us, but she had to accompany Daddy to check on his health. And yes, hopefully everything will be fine," Marco said, making Letta nod.
"Yes, I also hope everything will be fine. I'll call Mommy later to thank her for decorating the room for Freya in such beautiful way," Letta said.
"Yes, I'll let her know once she's done with all her activities. It's better for now. How about we take Freya into her room and try out the baby basket for her?" Marco suggested, making Letta nod. Eventually, they entered the beautifully decorated room, and the sunlight shining through the window was perfect for their baby's room. "Did Mommy prepare these gifts too?" Letta asked, making Marco nod.
"Yes, Mommy did it all. There are no gifts from anyone else mixed in this room. It's as if this is truly for her beloved granddaughter," Marco said, making Letta slowly lay Freya down in her baby basket. Freya, wearing a headband, looked adorable, making Letta and Marco unable to stop smiling at their beautiful daughter.
