Trapped I can't escape from the Billionaire

Chapter 169

Letta smiled broadly as she stood in front of the grand house she had missed for the past few weeks. Finally, Letta returned to Marco's mansion as he had requested. After Marco was discharged from the hospital, he immediately brought Letta back to their country. Marco didn't want Letta to dwell longer on the bad times that had befallen them.

"Are you happy we're back?" Marco asked, making Letta nod. They entered, greeted by Desi and the servants lining up on both sides of the large door.

"Welcome, Sir, Madam," Desi said, making Letta smile before nodding. Some servants looked a bit surprised to see Marco with a small bandage on his head and bandages still wrapped around his body under his shirt. "You may resume your duties. We'll rest immediately," Marco said, making the servants nod. After that, Marco pulled Letta closer.

"Shall we come and rest in our room?" Letta asked, and Marco nodded.

"You must be very tired, right? So, we better rest right away," Marco said, making Letta glance around to find out what time it was. Letta's steps stopped when she found out it was only 3 in the afternoon.

"It's still daytime. If I sleep this early, I won't be able to sleep at night," Letta said when Marco really opened the door to their room and was about to take Letta inside. However, Letta seemed reluctant to take a step. "Then what do you want? At least we can lie down or do anything in the room," Marco said, winking, making Letta shake her head.

"No, I want to relax by the pool," Letta said, making Marco look at her with raised eyebrows.

"No, the air is not good, the wind is a bit strong," Marco replied, making Letta once again stare at him with pursed lips.

"But look at the weather. It's sunny. It will be very pleasant to have sweet treats and a juice by the pool," Letta said, causing Marco to rub his face roughly.

"Okay, then we'll change clothes first. After that, I'll take you to the pool," Marco said, making Letta shake her head. Marco once again looked at his wife with a questioning gaze.

"Just rest. I know you're tired, even your condition is worse than mine. I'm sure your body is still not as healthy as before. So, you can rest first, while I can relax by the pool alone. It's okay, now Desi will always accompany me," Letta said, making Marco fold his hands and look towards the bed.

"So, you prefer Desi to accompany you rather than your husband?" Marco asked, for some reason not liking his wife's answer.

"It's not like that," Letta said, reaching out her hand and stroking her husband's firm jaw.

"I'm just concerned about your condition. If you invited me to rest, it must be because your body is truly tired. So, you shouldn't force yourself, while I feel fine. I'll take a break. Before dinner time, I'll wake you up," Letta said, causing Marco to immediately pull his wife's waist closer.

"If I want to rest, I have to rest with you. But since you asked to relax by the pool, I'll accompany you. No objections or suggestions, I'll do what I want to do. So, it's better, let's change clothes now before I change my mind and lock you in the room,” Marco said, making Letta pout and reluctantly follow Marco's steps inside. Marco opened the jacket he was wearing and unbuttoned his shirt one by one, revealing the bandages still wrapped around his sturdy body. Letta approached and stroked Marco's back, causing Marco's movement to pause slightly.

"Why?" Marco asked, making Letta silent before eventually shaking her head.

"No," Letta said, then was about to enter the dressing room before Marco stopped her.

"Why? Is there something on your mind?" Marco asked again, making Letta finally silent and meeting her husband's gaze.

"These wounds will surely leave scars on your body," Letta said, making Marco silent.

"These wounds will surely leave a lot of scars," Letta continued.

"So, that's what's been bothering you all this time?" Marco asked, making Letta nod.

"That doesn't matter to me," Marco replied, making Letta look at him with a questioning gaze.

"I don't care too much about my body. Whether it has scars or not," Marco replied, which made Letta think otherwise. Letta thought Marco cherished his body shape, so he might be a bit disappointed if there were scars that cut through every muscle attached to his body.

"Do you think I would be disappointed if I got a scar here?" Marco asked, making Letta nod.

"Come on, I don't pay too much attention to my appearance. Besides, it's also covered by my clothes. People won't know if I have scars," Marco said, making Letta still silent, as well as Marco, while exchanging a melancholic gaze with his wife. "Or are you disappointed yourself because my body is now full of scars?" Marco said, making Letta shake her head.

"Of course not. I also don't think too much about the condition of my husband's body. I feel that if you get so many wounds on your body, it doesn't bother me," Letta replied, thinking that maybe Marco would get trauma or whatever it was. Marco smiled gently at his wife.

"No, not at all. These wounds don't affect me. Even though it will only remind me of the scoundrel who might end up in that underground prison and will remind me that I still have to catch one more person who collaborated with him, which we still don't know," Marco said, making Letta finally smile while stroking her ample chest.

"Finally, we can return to this house. At that time, I thought I would never be able to come back to my hometown with you," Letta said, prompting Marco to stroke his wife's small back.

"That will never happen. Even if I have to lose my life, I will still save you first," Marco said, causing Letta to immediately refuse.

"Don't start saying silly things like that. I don't like it," Letta said.

"Then let's stop talking about those bad times. Shouldn't we head to the edge of the swimming pool before the sky starts to darken?" Marco said, making Letta nod. "Okay, then, release this hug so I can change clothes. How about that?" Letta said, making Marco silent before finally displaying a smile that made Letta squint her eyes. "Wait, it seems I'm starting to recognize that smile," Letta said, making Marco laugh.

"It seems my wife is starting to understand what her husband desires," Marco said, then was about to bring his face closer before Letta restrained him using her palm. "If you do that, our time will be further delayed. Come on, didn't you say the sky would get darker?" Letta said, making Marco finally nod.

"Okay, it seems my recent hobby is truly unique," Marco said while kissing the side of Letta's face.

"What?" Letta asked curiously.

"Teasing my wife until she looks annoyed with her red face is very enjoyable," Marco said, winking one of his eyes.

"You're so naughty," Letta said with a pout, and it's moments like this that make Marco release his laughter.
