Trapped I can't escape from the Billionaire

Chapter 131

Letta gazed at Marco, who remained silent as if lost in thought, prompting Letta to eventually reach out and stroke her husband's arm, causing Marco to slightly startle.

"Are you daydreaming?" Letta asked, enjoying the moment with her husband.

"No, did you ask something earlier?" Marco inquired, prompting Letta to nod.

"Yes, I was asking about the rooms in the back corridor," Letta said, causing Marco to finally nod in response.

"You don't need to go there. It's just some unused rooms and a warehouse. There are only old items there, nothing interesting," Marco explained, to which Letta nodded in agreement.

A few days prior, Letta had halted her steps while heading towards the library. Passing by the servants' quarters, she noticed a hallway leading to the back building. However, when she attempted to step in, Desi suddenly mentioned that there were only a few servant rooms. That's why Letta had chosen to inquire directly with Marco.

"Why are you thinking about that hallway? Are you sure you want to go there?" Marco asked, making Letta shake her head.

"No, I'm just curious," Letta replied.

"In a house this large, there are plenty of rooms that might interest you. The library, the mini theater, a small bar, the gym, and more. You can enjoy whatever you want," Marco said, pulling Letta's shoulder and leading her up the stairs to their room, to which Letta simply nodded.

"Yes, this house is even too big for me to explore every day," Letta said, making Marco smile.

Marco then reached out, caressing Letta's visibly round belly. At 25 weeks pregnant, Letta's pregnancy had kept Marco's heart pounding each week as he counted the weeks of her pregnancy.

"Is she asleep?" Marco asked, making Letta smile and nod.

"Yes, it seems so," Letta replied. They finally arrived in their room, where Marco immediately took off his jacket, while Letta sat on the round sofa near the bed. The hanging sofa allowed Letta to lean back comfortably as she watched her husband's movements. Marco, who had been glanced at by Letta, briefly glanced back at her.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Is there something strange?" Marco asked, to which Letta shook her head.

"No, I just always want to see you like this because from morning till night, sometimes you spend time at the office. So when you're home, I want to fully gaze at my husband," Letta said, making Marco smile.

Marco then unbuttoned a few buttons of his shirt, revealing his broad chest, before walking closer to Letta.

"I apologize for not being able to be at home more often due to the demands of work," Marco said, making Letta shake her head.

"It's okay, I understand. It's just that sometimes I feel lonely in this big house," Letta said.

"But soon you'll have a companion, right?" Marco said, reaching out his hand, making Letta smile. Yes, soon she would be accompanied by their little angel.

"I want our child to have your face," Marco said, making Letta stop her hand movements. She then looked up at her husband.

"Why?" Letta asked again.

"Wouldn't it be delightful to see someone like you in a smaller version?" Marco said, making Letta smile.

"On the contrary, I want our daughter to resemble her father. She will surely have a very handsome face," Letta said, making Marco smile.

"Really? So, am I really handsome?" Marco asked, starting to bend his knees and leaning his face on Letta's lap, to which Letta nodded. Letta then reached out, following the contours of her husband's face.

"Thick black eyebrows, sharp-looking eyes, a high nose, everything looks perfect," Letta said, making Marco smile. Marco then took Letta's palm and kissed it.

"What if the combination of us makes her look beautiful with beautiful eyes like yours?" Marco said, making Letta smile. Marco then reached out, caressing the side of Letta's face before slightly straightening up, pressing their lips together, causing Letta to close her eyes, feeling the warmth spreading across her lips before Marco eventually released their embrace.

"I want to say something," Marco said, making Letta nod as she gazed at him with a questioning look.

"Yes, go ahead," Letta said.

"In a few days, I have to go on a business trip to Chicago," Marco said, making Letta furrow her brow.

"For how long?" Letta asked.

"I'm not sure, it's unpredictable, it could be sooner or later," Marco said.

"So, how soon is it in terms of days?" Letta asked.

"About a week," Marco said, causing Letta to immediately wear a gloomy expression.

"So for a whole week, you won't be by my side, and that's the fastest scenario. What if your business isn't concluded within that one week? You'll likely stay there even longer, right?" Letta asked, making Marco nod.

"What about me?" Letta asked, prompting Marco to fall silent before gazing gently at his wife.

"Do you want to come with me?" Marco asked, sparking a glimmer in Letta's eyes.

"May I? Wouldn't I be a bother?" Letta asked, to which Marco shook his head.

"No, I've thought it through. I can't bear to leave you alone for so long. Even when I go to the office every day, I always want to come back quickly. Let alone leaving you in this condition for an extended period. That's why I've been considering what it would be like to take you to Chicago," Marco explained, causing Letta to nod eagerly.

"Of course, I want to. I want to go with you. I promise I won't be naughty," Letta said, winking playfully, making Marco chuckle.

"But there's another option. If you feel uncomfortable accompanying me because I'll be traveling frequently and won't be able to take you everywhere, Daddy suggested that you stay at Daddy and Mommy's house temporarily," Marco said, making Letta go silent. Somehow, she suddenly remembered that she had never met Marco's parents. They were suddenly offering her to stay with them. Would Letta feel comfortable and at ease among them?

"I've never met them before," Letta said, making Marco nod.

"Yes, they're busy. I also have no intention of leaving you with them. I'm just conveying their goodwill. I don't want you to think that they don't care about their daughter-in-law. Maybe they don't visit me too often, but they also think about their grandchild in your belly," Marco tried to reason about Edward and Helena, who had never met Letta since the incident.

"I might feel very awkward suddenly living with them, especially since I've never met them before. Also, aren't they busy too? That means it's the same as staying here or staying at your parents' house, isn't it?" Letta said, making Marco reach out his hand.

"That's why I want to take you with me. I was just mentioning another idea that I wouldn't choose either," Marco said, making Letta smile again.

"So, when are we leaving?" Letta asked eagerly.

"In about 2 days or maybe tomorrow. Sooner is better. I need to prepare everything first," Marco said, making Letta nod. Going with Marco, especially to a place far from where she currently resided, made Letta very excited.
