Chapter 229
Chapter 229 The Blade Pierces the Arm
Deborah had always had a limited understanding of Simone, and she knew even less about her family situation.
All she knew was that Simone worked extremely hard, had a relatively conservative personality, but she was a genuinely good person.
She was very enthusiastic about making money. Whenever there was a design competition or something similar with cash prizes, she always rushed to sign up. Deborah watched in anger as the man approached Simone and immediately laid his hands on her. Her blood boiled,
rushing to her head.
This incident took place outside Jingron Design's office, in a public space where everyone could see. Without any hesitation, he slapped Simone across the face.
It was clear that he must have done such things quite a few times in private.
Deborah stormed over, and Mona was exceptionally angry as well. Together, they stepped forward to intervene.
Mona glared fiercely at the burly man, "How could you, how could you lay a hand on someone? You've gone too far! Are you really Simone's husband?"
How could a husband treat his wife like this? It's simply outrageous and utterly unfair.
With a fierce kick, the man struck Simone in the abdomen, sending her tumbling to the ground.
He glanced at Mona, cursing under his breath, "Mind your own da mn business, this is between me and this woman. I didn't make a scene at your company, that's me showing respect to your company!" This was indeed the outside of Jingron Design, and it was no longer within the security's management scope.
The company's security guards were also somewhat hesitant, not quite sure how to intervene.
After all, they were a married couple, so this could be considered a domestic matter.
The security guard couldn't intervene physically, so he just stepped forward and tried to calm the situation with a few words. "Sir, please calm down and let's talk things through." Simone fell to the ground, struggling to get back up by supporting herself on the floor..
Her face showed extreme embarrassment and humiliation, turning deathly pale.
She didn't want to jeopardize her future career, nor did she want to involve innocent people.
Seeing Mona rushing over to argue with the man, she stopped Mona.
Simone's voice trembled so much that it was almost inaudible. "It's okay, you guys go back to the company first. He really is my husband, I'll talk to him."
Mona was furious and stomped her foot. "What kind of person is he, hitting you like that! Domestic violence is against the law, don't be afraid, just sue him!" Mona was furious, even more so than if the man had hit her directly.
Simone had a good temper and was hardworking, earning 3,000 to 4,500 dollars a month, which was quite decent. She really didn't deserve to have such a husband.
Deborah was also indignant. "Simone, is there something troubling you? Tell us, and we'll help you solve it together. How could he do this to you?"
Simone's face turned extremely awkward as she looked at the man. "I'm really fine. Damian, let's go to the café across the street to talk. You must be thirsty since you just came over, right?"
Damian Zeller refused to leave and spoke with a bad attitude, "What kind of coffee are we talking about? How much does a cup of coffee cost in this place?
In the past, it was one thing, for you to be a spendthrift, at least you could earn some money on your own. But now, it seems that the money you're making isn't exactly clean, is it? What's your relationship with that man who took you to the restaurant? Explain yourself!"
If it weren't for Simone holding her back, Mona would have already slapped this p erve rted man across the face.
Simone earns between 3,000 to 4,500 dollars a month, and she also lives frugally on weekdays.
Drinking a cup of coffee is considered squandering money?
What the heck!
Mona exerted all her self-control to hold back from taking action, and chose to use her words instead. "What do you mean by 'that man'? He's Simone's immediate boss, the CEO of our headquarters."
Damian looked at Mona with some disbelief, realizing that she wasn't just talking nonsense.
He was calculating in his mind, angrily pointing at Simone's nose and scolding, "I knew it, you've hooked up with a
man. How can you, a woman, make 3,000 to 4,500 dollars a month without selling yourself?
Not bad at all, even your big boss got involved. Just have your boss come talk to me directly, and let him bring money to compensate and apologize!"
The more he spoke, the more unbearable his words became. "Dressed like a seductive vixen every day, no wonder you can attract men. So what if he's a big boss? He slept with my wife, he still has to pay me!"
Simone's face was a mix of pale and flushed, her expression quivering with auger as she looked at Damian.
"One last time, if you want the money, come with me now."
How could Damian possibly still care about the little money Simone gave him?
Simone worked as a junior designer in this branch office, and she could earn between 3,000 to 4,500 dollars a month.
So, how much money must the CEO of this corporation's headquarters have in their hands?
Could Simone compare to what that person could provide easily?
Damian stepped forward and grabbed Simone's arm. "Call your big boss right now. I need to have a serious talk with
him.
You can ask him if he still has any shame left! If he doesn't come out to see me, I'll expose your affair right away!"
Originally, Simone was blocking the way, so it wasn't easy for Deborah and Mona to do anything.
Now Deborah really couldn't stand it any longer. She called the company's security guard over and said, "Get him out of here, and make sure he gets lost as far away as possible."
Upon receiving Deborah's instructions, the security guard didn't hesitate and walked toward this direction.
Although this place was beyond the scope of security management, since Deborah had spoken up, if anything went wrong, both Deborah and Joseph would have to take responsibility.

Upon hearing this, Damian's anger flared up. He fiercely kicked Simone in the thigh and said, "I'll discipline my own wife, and I've already hit her! Let's see who dares to interfere and meddle in my business!" Simone stumbled a few times before falling to the ground, hitting herself quite hard.
Deborah's face turned completely dark with anger, and her head was buzzing.
She couldn't help herself and strode over in just a few steps, fiercely slapping Damian's face with two resounding
smacks.
Damian was completely stunned, and after a moment, he realized it was Deborah who had hit him.
He was a grown man, yet he was actually beaten by a woman like her!
Damian's face quickly contorted with rage, as he forcefully grabbed Deborah's hair.
"You despicable person, how dare you hit me? You're asking for trouble!"
Joseph hasn't left yet; his car was parked nearby, and he was making a phone call.
After finishing the phone call, he saw a few people gathered outside the company.
It seems that something had happened, but it was quite far away, so it was not clear who was involved.
There were security guards in the company anyway, so if things really got out of hand, someone would naturally take
care of it.
He didn't plan to go over and check, and was ready to just drive away.
Suddenly, he remembered that Deborah had just joined the company recently, so it would be better to check if she was alright.
Joseph got out of the car and walked toward the outside of the company.
Soon, he approached and saw a familiar figure.
His face darkened rapidly.
Damian grabbed Deborah's hair, acting like a complete ruffian, and yelled at the approaching security guards.
"Who dares to come any closer, I'll kill this woman! I've been cheated on by my own wife, I don't want to live anymore, might as well take someone down with me. Let everyone know that someone died in your company!"
The
security guard didn't dare to approach any closer, and shouted sternly, "Let her go!"
Darnian saw that a few security guards were scared, which made him even more smug and self-satisfied.
He was about to say something when his collar was suddenly yanked from behind.
The hand gripping Deborah's hair was pierced by the blade, and blood gushed out in an instant.
Damian let out a scream, released his grip, and was immediately sent flying by a powerful kick.
